16 January 2025Yes! I was dreading my DOT physical appointment because, in the past, they’ve taken forever – not today though! I was in and out in less than an hour (I made an appointment). My doc/examiner was thorough, made sure I understood my paperwork, and sent me on my way. That’s how it should be done!I recommend this NextCare location for DOT physicals (especially). It’s clean, convenient, and the staff is proficient.Keep this location in mind if you’re pressed for time. Thanks, NextCare for making my visit smooth sailing.~Allen
This is the 3rd time I have been to this location. NextCare Urgent Care9551 Paseo Del Norte Blvd NE D-106, Albuquerque, NM 87122Phone: (505) 800-7050The staff is very kind, polite, courteous and understanding.Lucky me I also got to see NP Alice for the 3rd time. She is also very caring, kind, polite and courteous. She knows what she is doing and listens to me. She remembered me. Highly recommend this location.
When we walked in, there were pretty many people already seated. We were told the next walk-in time slot was 2 hours away. We set that time and went back home because we were only about 15 minutes away. When we arrived for our appointment, the lobby was nearly empty. We were called back right away and began the visit with the medical assistant with all the usual. . . vitals, history, etc. Then, we saw the doctor. She was thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We felt she made the right decisions about the current medical issue including all pertinent past history and medications. We were out of there in less than one hour.It was a good experience all around, and we will use Next Care again if the situation arises to do so. The next time, we will try to make an appointment.
I went to this Urgent Care with an active back muscle spasm. I was in severe pain. Once the provider came into the patient room, she didn’t introduce herself, she did not assess me, or do any kind of physical exam. She immediately said that I should go to an ER. She said this without even asking me one question. It seemed to me either like she was trying to pass the buck or at the very least was feeling lazy or tired and didn’t want to treat me. I told her I wasn’t going to the ER that night, because I had already paid to see her, I had already waited and I was in pain. I was hoping she could check me out and treat me, there. Why would that not be the case? She offered to give me Motrin, and that was it. This is an over the counter medication which I had at home. After she said that was all she could do, I had to ask her if she would recommend muscle relaxers, the class of drug created to treat muscle spasms. I had to ask her to send in a prescription. Why am I having to suggest ways for her to treat me? It felt lacking. Needless to say I got substandard care. The “treatment” she gave me was nowhere near the treatment I needed. She did not offer or suggest that I use ice packs or heat treatments, icy hot, CBD oil, certain stretches or if not to stretch at all, or anything else that might help my condition. I had to look up these treatments after I got home because of the poor treatment I received at this Urgent Care. If you are looking for someone to give compassionate care, and not have to convince the provider to actually treat you and help you, I would not recommend this facility. As I am leaving this review I read some of the other negative comments. Seems like this provider has done this to other patients, not just me. Buyer beware.
I have been going to this nextcare for the past 2 years I believe, the service was regular and sometimes it didn’t help as much. Today I went there after maybe a year! And the “New” doctor or staff I saw today comparing to before are so nice and fast! Before i would spend hours there even if I had an appointment, today maybe was luck but I saw the way they work and service and it was fast, careful and super nice. I even called my parents to tell them about it lol. I’m really thankful for the help I received today. I believe the doctors name is M. Becerra and I couldn’t hear well the nurses name because my ears were clogged but the nurse with the amazing personality, and the nice one seating at the front desk! Thank you!
Had to schedule a last minute appointment and this location had availability within the hour. When I arrived, the front office receptionist was nice and the wait time after arrival was probably less than 10 minutes. I was seen by Dr. Alice (I believe that was her name) who was very kind, compassionate and listened intently to my issue. Throughout my appointment, she explained everything in detail and was very patient with me. She even called me after my appointment to make sure I was doing what she told me to do lol. I will definitely come back to this specific urgent care facility should the need arise again even though it’s far from the part of town I live in.
Was able to get an appointment on a Saturday. Didnt have to wait once I arrived. I saw PA Alice; she was thorough and sensitive to my condition. I really appreciated being seen and heard. I will be back when necessary! A great experience!
My experience was exceptionally positive. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor. The staff clearly values their patients and strives to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. One of the standout aspects was the efficiency of their service. I was taken to the examination room swiftly, minimizing my wait time. The medical team was prompt in diagnosing and treating my condition, ensuring that I received the necessary care without unnecessary delays. It was evident that they prioritize patient well-being and efficiency.Additionally, the app is a fantastic tool. It provides a clear and easy-to-understand overview of their services and allows users to manage appointments effortlessly. The transparency in billing through the app is particularly commendable, making it simple to view and understand charges, which can often be a stressful part of medical visits.I highly recommend it for anyone in need of prompt and professional medical attention.
I was very sick and needed to see a doctor as soon as possible. NextCare made it very easy. I didn’t schedule an appointment and was prepared to wait for a couple hours but fortunately only waited 30 minutes before being called back. Dr. Alice was very friendly and made a diagnosis with such ease and in a very timely manner.
The entire staff here is incredible!! From reception, to the nurse, to the doctor.Everyone was very kind, helpful understanding, & professional. The service was also very efficient & thorough. One of the best experiences Ive ever had at a doctor visit! Thank you guys! All of you are amazing!
Was happy to get an appointment for a Saturday, still wasnt seen for 45 minutes.Gave information on-line prior to visit. I still had to give more information to the nurse. Bottom line, I appreciate that I was well taken care of. Staff was friendly.
Alice, the Nurse Practitioner, did a great job! She gave me a diagnosis, bronchitis and a bacterial infection, and prescribed an antibiotic and prednisone. It was pleasant and efficient. I will use Nextcare again.
Today I walked into this clinic and I love the care we alway received at all of these clinics but ooo today the lady behind the desk at the paseo location was the rudest ever! I walked in to have my daughter seen for a ear infection and she informed me at 3:45 that she would schedule us for 5:45 and I asked we have to sit here for two hours before being seen with no patience ahead of us? The employee told me to stop being rude and I said I wasnt and this happened several times at which point she said to stop raising my voice. I was in the wrong for my actions after that but I wasnt rude or loud until she said the I needed to lower my voice or to stop being rude. She was the one being rude. Is she gonna tell a patient that has tourettes or maybe has a hearing problem to stop being loud and disrespectful or rude how does she know that I did not have a disability for her to talk to me like that when I wasnt being loud or being rude until she told me to stop doing those things when I wasnt
My 13 month old daughter had a small laceration on her forehead from the night before. She was acting normal and no signs of trauma, just wanted to ensure she didn’t need glue or stitches. I first reached out to her PCP who directed me to go to urgent care. NextCare was absolutely convenient, so I called on 7/24, explained my daughter’s injury (forehead laceration and her age) and asked if I should come in. I was told to come in, I was thrilled due to the convenience and ability to be seen quickly. We arrived, the waiting room was nice and I documented the need of visit when I arrived (not easy to do on a phone with a baby on the hip). We were triaged once again, documenting the purpose for visit and the age of my daughter. We were sent to an exam room- the second the provider walked in the room, she told me she was refusing treatment as it was a head injury on a baby without even examining my daughter. She directed me to go to the ER and was “refusing service” as it was protocol with a head injury at that age. The provider didn’t even offer to look at the injury or help me dress it or clean it. I felt “Mom shamed”- her PCP recommended to go to urgent care not the ER. I absolutely understand if there are policies and protocol for this nature of injury, but this should have been flagged during the multiple levels as I was checking in. Any toddler would be living in the ER if they were directed to be seen there each time they bonk their head.I wanted to confirm I wasn’t getting charged to be refused service- the provider said “I’m a provider I don’t deal with that.” I asked the front and they said since I SAW the provider I would be billed and I could fight it with my insurance.Said bill came in and my out of pocket came to $150, and my insurance disclosed to me it was billed for a 30 minute visit. I wouldn’t have any issue if the provider didn’t refuse service or offer to look at or clean help me tend to the injury. I wasn’t even offered a bandaid. I am trying to dispute the billed code of a 30 minute visit and the phone number I was told to call back over voicemail states that they only accept email. What was supposed to be convenience has turned into an absolute nightmare.
My kids and I went here for the first time today. The nurse assistant and provider were both wonderful! They were both caring, gentle, and sweet with my young kids, and answered any questions we had. Glad to have an urgent care go-to!
I was visiting albuquerque (from San Francisco) for the holidays and came here for a case of food poisoning/ travelers diarrhea. The nurse practitioner - Mireya Becerra - said she would prescribe an antibiotic for me, and I asked her if she thought it could be anything more serious or if I should see my doctor for a follow up when I returned home. She immediately got defensive and said she felt insulted; she then proceeded to explain her credentials to me. (“I am a nurse practitioner and I am authorized to issue prescriptions just like a doctor.”) She apparently thought I was second guessing her opinion. I was just being thorough and asking questions about my own health! It had nothing to do with her or her qualifications. The rest of our interaction was awkward and weird. I got the antibiotics I needed, but her bedside manner and oddly defensive attitude when being asked follow-up questions from a sick patient seemed way out of line and unprofessional. I would not go back to this place.
I do not recommend the clinic on paseo Del Norte. This clinic has an unsafe and dangerous staff member who provides triage services I.e. checking you in, takes blood pressure, weight and inputs symptoms. She was very upset and very aggressive towards my young child. I highly suggest not going here.
Excellent experience, and Alice is Amazing!! Staff is friendly and professional. Finally got proper antibiotics, and I was treated like I was important!! Thank you
Made an appointment for 8am this morning. I showed up checked in from the link THEY sent me like 10 minutes before my appointment and waited and waited. Another person showed up as well. No one ever showed up!! Never opened!!! Never will recommend this place to anyone and will make post on all my social media sites to tell people to stay away from this sorry excuse for a urgent care place.
The nurse which took my blood pressure and asked me about my symptoms, was very nice and very polite and helpful. The doctor was polite when she had first come in until she got into a debate with my husband when I saw her the second time around, she was very rude, cold and standoffish I’m very dissatisfied With the care that I received. I felt like I was rushed out very unprofessional behavior.
I LOVE THIS PLACE 🌸I accidentally stumbled to this place because I tried looking for a Presbyterian urgent care then was informed it was no longer an urgent care. I had a Stye that was bothersome and once I entered I was greeted so professionally and felt welcomed and the team took care of me. I’d like to mention that I was a walk in and I just absolutely enjoyed it here. 100/10 would recommend this place.
The visit was on time got to see the doctor right away didnt suffer much. Got our labs done and diagnosed. I do recommend this next care for my future visits
Was able to make appointment for a DOT physical in the same day. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Will continue to use and suggest to all my friends.
Really nice and clean facility. Quick service if you have an appt. Nurse was thorough and kind, doctor also thorough and knowledgeable. Quick on-site testing and resolution. Thanks!
I was in town visiting family when I became sick, Im very thankful they were open on Thanksgiving. The staff was very nice and quick. Even help me pick a pharmacy that was open on the holiday. Thank you all so much.
My only complaint is the fact that the address for Albuquerque and Taos are similar so I made my appointment to the wrong office. I live in Taos. This caused me to be just a walk in and have to wait quite awhile. Everyone there is very nice and the doctor is fabulous. I was well taken care of.
The provider was no help she was with me maybe 5 minutes just to let me know that she couldn’t help me. She said the ER was better but I was still charged $250.00 for the visit. I won’t be back
To the person who saw my son, learn some bedside manners . You won’t need to worry about us returning for future visits. From my 12 yr old son “ she was rude” it’s not what you say… but how you say it.
The appointment was quick, but they didn’t have x-ray services like they say they do on their website. Also, I had tape on my foot and the woman provider who saw me starts taking it off and says don’t use tape because you can tear your skin and starts ripping it off and tore a piece of my skin off the bottom of my foot about the size of a quarter while I was screaming. Now I have a hole in my foot that was bleeding with a Band-Aid over it. The hole she created hurts as bad as the foot injury I that I went in for.. She needs to learn how to take off tape. You don’t yank it. You pull it back across itself carefully. I have been taping my feet and hands for 50+ years and never had any skin pull off. I can understand why she does!
The doctor was very helpful she knew that my son had pneumonia and referred me to the hospital right away.
Place was nice front desk was very quick but I was seen by I guess was a nurse practioner who really was very unhelpful .. she didnt know if I had anything because I told her I had the chills in the morning???? She asked if I had covid and I said Im in a urgent care check me for it ... I went in for a pain in my side area and never was even asked about it ... even the triage nurse thought I had an infection in my kidney area due to what I was explaining... No fever .. no high blood pressure . Vitals were all good .. I thought it was a kidney stone from a previous one I had but walked out of there with no prescription and no answer.. dont let someone who doesnt know what there doing work with patients . Ill never go back .
The admin staff, techs, and nurse were all friendly and knowledgeable. Nurse Alice was empathetic and supportive. I’ll go there again when needed. Top notch…
For most part good appt. Hoqever, provider never came back to tell me results of urinalysis that it indicated infection and medication ordered. I finally stepped out of room and assistant told and told me I could leave.
I have been treated at this urgent care twice in the last year. It is clean and the people who work there are extremely kind. I would not hesitate to return if I or anyone in my family would need urgent medical care! Thank you for such good care!
I’ve only been to this location once before. The intake person is very thorough & considerate. The other woman who took my vitals, just as professional & kind. When you’re not feeling your best, it’s good to know you’re being heard. I observed a team of very capable women, including the doctor. Thank you.
Came in for flue like symptoms and front dest lady and the initial Dr I seen were very rude right off the bat. The only one that seemed to actually want to help was the lady that took my vitals. Got sent to er and on the way out the door in front of everyone told me my test results.
Good except that medicine was not sent to the requested pharmacy. I tried to call the clinic to find out where they called my prescription and it showed as closed when in reality it was still opened. I had to go back to the clinic to find out where they sent the prescription. Otherwise they had good attention, knowledgeable doctor and rapid service. I was very impressed by this.
Very good at checkin. The Doctor was very thorough and friendly! All in all, the experience was excellent. I will us them again!
I made an appointment at NextCare on Paseo Del Norte for lyme disease. The receptionist was very polite and friendly. I should have gotten her name but she has nice red flower tattoos on her wrists. I had no wait time. The medical provider, Alice, was professional, efficient, reviewed the latest medical recommendation for treatment, and asked for my agreement on how long to take the antibiotic. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.
Appointment system is awesome, the doctor was very thorough, I’ve been here several times and my experience has always been good.
This is the best experience I have ever had at a facility for testing. Miranda at the front desk was very helpful, efficient, and kind. Terrance placed my TB test. He is fantastic. Such a lovely and positive individual. He was so kind. Terrance is truly the best patient care tech I have seen in my 50+ years. Thank you!
My 16 yo daughter was seen by Mireya Becerra on 7/20/24 for her breasts hurting & the right has a significant sized lump. This woman proceeded to make me move behind a current without asking my daughter if she wanted me present or not. Then she asked not once but twice if my daughters breast were hers & that she had to ask. My 16 yo child has not had breast augmentation & unless medically necessary, most plastic surgeons wont do silicon implants (which is what Mireya said her breast felt like was a silicone implant) until 22 & older. She also had the audacity to ask me if the wheelchair I was in was mine. I am disabled & what kind of question is that. Her advice to my 16 yo? Stop drinking soda because it can cause hardening of the breast. She never asked about her soda consumption just told her to lay off of them. Had she asked, like every other medical professional weve encountered, she would have found out she rarely drinks soda. She also told me contact Lovelace Breast Imaging & request a self-referral for a mammogram.... Self-referral mammograms are soley for women over the age of 40 & a 16 yo CANNOT get one. For her situation, I was informed by the radiology department, she would have to have a breast sonogram. At the end of the visit I was writing some information down she tried rushing me put of the clinic since our visit was complete. I tried to see her name badge more clearly (which she started to cover with her hand when she saw me looking at it)to which I asked what her name was & her response was to not worry about it. I retorted with I want to know who were speaking with here (& I have that right). I did get her name after that brief argument but I have NEVER encountered ANY provider (and I have had many) this inept. Her bed-side manner doesnt exist & she needs to ASK patients what THEY want not what SHE wants. Her dismissiveness with my questions, along with all the afore mentioned situations that transpired during our visit I find that we will not be returning to your facility. She did nothing to help my child & wasted our time... The rest of the support staff were fantastic. Your receptionist was very friendly & helpful.
Wow! Exceptional service from front desk, to triage, to the Dr. I found my new urgent care. Thank you for taking great care of us!
The front office staff is great. However, the doctor did not allow parents in the room during our daughters visit. Becuase of this, the doctor didnt know key information on past issues and prescriptions that did or didnt work. The visit was less productive, and results were probably inaccurate. Terrible policy.
Typically these urgent cares are great however my experience with the provider Alice Sisneros was absolutely awful! She was incredibly rude and even handled my child (the patient) extremely aggressively when doing her “exam”. The experience with her was absolutely infuriating and I will likely never return to any NextCare clinic.
The office was clean and d professional, the front staff was kind and everyone was helpful. I felt very attended to by everyone!
My wife went in for nothing more than a rapid strep test and 2 weeks later we get a bill for $700!! They double charged for a flu test ($55 each) and charged for a COVID test ($75), neither of which she asked for because she already knew a family member had strep earlier that week. $55 for the strep test, plus $465 for office outpatient services & facility. I understand the convenience of urgent care treatment, but its ABSURD to charge $600 more than the state average AND deceive patients by using samples to run multiple tests. No wonder this chain has had the money to expand nationally so rapidly.
I visited the location off of Holbrook and Paseo Del Norte. My visit was quick and very efficient. I went at a time in which the waiting room was virtually empty. Great place, clean, fast and efficient.
Good care, hardly any wait, scheduled it online and sign-in was a breeze. Had used NextCare in AZ and loved it. NM NextCare also hasn’t disappointed.
I made an appointment online for this morning. I received multiple emails and text messages reminding me of the appointment earlier today. When I arrived, I checked in online as requested. I then received a text message saying I was next in line and to head inside to see my doctor. Then I saw the sign on the door saying they are closed today. How does this even happen? Absolutely ridiculous.Update: They rescheduled me for the following day, and again my appointment eas cancelled right before I was supposed to be seen. They rescheduled me again for today, and it is cancelled AGAIN.
Was seen in a timely fashion and found staff friendly, attentive and professional. My reason for the visit was taken care of.
I’m leaving one star because the front desk person was really kind as well as the nurse. However, this was the worst provider I have ever experienced. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not ask for consent and did not answer any of my questions or offer help. I understand it was late in the evening but that is no excuse to treat a patient like that. Do not come here! You’re better off waiting a long time at Pres now or Duke City Urgent Care. I don’t leave reviews anywhere so the fact I’m leaving a review here says a lot.
My visit was great. I didnt have to wait to long. Nurses n Dr. were very helpful
Stephanie, the manager is incredibly dismissive & rude, guess they’ll really put anyone in charge. The lack of leadership & professionalism here is outrageous. I was misdiagnosed twice in one week & treated for the wrong illness. The provider I saw had no idea what she was doing, did not she listen to me. Getting a hold of anyone is impossible & anyone I spoke to was rude. This is the worst urgent care experience I’ve ever had. I’d never recommend this place or the service here to anyone ever. & I’m obviously not the only person who has had a terrible experience, if you read the other reviews there’s a trend.
The doctor was very kind and caring. So was the staff! They’re missing an x ray tech so i had to do a follow up visit somewhere else the next day.
It was easy to make an appointment online and to check in on line when I arrived. It was a nice clean facility and the staff was courteous and friendly. I only waited 5 minutes before I was seen. The provider was amazing!! One of the best providers I’ve ever been to.
I was well taken care of. I had a lacerated fore finger that reqired 12 stitches. It healed well.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS URGENT CARE TO ANYONE! I went in regarding a car accident I was involved in a few days prior. I was told that my neck and back pain was “subjective” since nothing was shown broken or fractured in my X-Rays. I was ordered to return to work at my construction job with no restrictions the next day. No referrals, no after care. When I tried to explain my pain to the nurse practitioner and explain to her the heavy lifting my job requires, she says, quite on quote, “Don’t start with me about that. We gave you care a few days ago. You should be fine by now.” I’ve never heard this come out of a medical professionals mouth in my life. Awesome receptionists, horrible practitioners. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Schedule appointment to check for strep. Showed up before appt time. Was taken back 15 mins after appt time which was okay. Then proceeded to wait over an hour before anyone came in. Once the doc came in, it was 3 mins and essentially on my way for antibiotics. The antibiotics were never sent to the pharmacy and by the time I figured this out after waiting at the pharmacy, nextcare was closed with no way to resolve the issue.Next day, attempted calling the office all day but call was NEVER able to go through and just said user busy. Just attempted call and now phone is going through to the voicemail saying they are closed even though hours are until 8pm.Absolutely unacceptable and the only location I’ve ever had issues with.
I had a fantastic experience at the urgent care! The visit was quick and easy, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. From the moment I walked in, I felt well taken care of. The efficient service and welcoming atmosphere made a potentially stressful situation much more manageable. I truly appreciate their professionalism and dedication to providing top-notch care. Five stars all the way!
Took over an hour to get a 5 minute physical exam and the workers did not even give the proper paper work to me until right before I even was given the physical exam.
Honestly one of the best urgent care visits I’ve ever had. Staff was very polite and efficient, was a walk in and barely waited. The provider was very thorough and informative, as well as compassionate. Will 100% be back and recommend
The Dr was escellent. I had a scheduled appointment and I was taken very quickly after arriving the Dr was quick to diagnose the problem after wrote up her report and sent me to the ER with a blood clot in my knee. The Dr at the RR was impressed with Nexcare.
Saw doctor for congestion. Received a breathing treatment and prescriptions for bronchitis. In and out in 45 minutes
So I scheduled my son for his physical to play sports at this facility on May 15, 2024 and we seen the nurse practitioner name Mireya Becerra who came in and started to ask questions and filling out his paperwork. Once she was done she went over to my son and told him to open his mouth and after taking look and tells me “did you know he has strep throat “ then I tell myself my son isn’t even sick or look sick. Then she goes to say “ he’s not even my kid and I can see it in his eyes too”. I did not like those comments from her and then she tells me I can’t treat him but said I can talk to the front desk and ask them to get him check in with her so she can test him. After I didn’t feel comfortable going back to her to test my son and we just left got what he needed. Later that evening my husband and I took my son to Presbyterian urgent care and let the doctor know we were told by a nurse practitioner he has strep throat. The doctor took a look and said he don’t have strep and looks fine with no symptoms. Good thing we left that facility and I don’t recommend seeing her anymore.
We had a great experience. Booked an appointment before hand. Showed up a bit early and they still got us in right away. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Would definitely go back again if needed.
I Love this Urgent Care. The doctors are great and staff always friendly.
It was an ease to make an appointment. The staff were professional and courteous.
I had a 10 am appointment, but didnt get taken back until after 10:30am. PA did a very thorough examination for my neck pain issue. I got a pain med shot and she sent a muscle relaxant med to my pharmacy. Left with instructions and a lot of home exercises.
Positive: The doctor was respectful, professional, and very helpful. I was very pleased with the quality of care.Negative: I logged into the system at 5 pm. There were no walk in patients at that time and the next available appointment was at 7 pm. I elected to schedule that instead of walking in, in the hope of spending my wait time at home. I still spent an hour waiting at the facility while 4 walk in patients and the person with the appointment after me were seen first (despite being there for a breathing issue, which is usually highly prioritized). I respect that the facility triages their patients and I dont know the urgency of the other patients concerns, but I feel that I should have just walked in since my appointment time was utterly irrelevant and only resulted in my treatment being delayed a couple hours.
Made an appointment and still sat in the waiting room for over an hour with only one other patient who happened to be a walk-in. I actually waited as long as I could and was never seen. This place is the absolute worst.
The Doctor Who attended to me was the kindest I’ve ever met. I was really scared, having a asthma attack, and her caring bedside manner meant the world to me. Still does. I’m so grateful.
The doctor did not see me until over an hour after my scheduled appointment. She was very rude and it seemed as if I were a bother being a patient. She told me that I needed to go to ER to get IV antibiotics. I looked at the paperwork and the doctor stated that I declined to take an ambulance but we never discussed this. This is a very false statement I did go to ER and I did not have an infection nor did I need IV antibiotics. I would never recommend this facility because of the doctor and the wait time with a scheduled appointment.
The provider sent in to the pharmacy the wrong medicine, and forgot to send in a second prescription at all! Plus, as a 100 percent disabled war veteran, using the VA community Care department which is free for me. The receptionist tried to get $35 out of me. On the threat that I would not be able to see the doctor unless I paid her. This is illegal. I will never come back here. You cant get anybody on the phone at any location. This is just a terrible business. Just dont bother to come here for health concerns. I also cant get Stephanie the manager to call me back. I dont think she really cares.
Friendly, speedy, and competent service from everyone on the team. Its as good as it gets!
The wait time is always floppy floppy. Like could be waiting a few minutes to hours. Just depending if the everyone has their sh!t together. Even if you reserve a spot online doesn’t matter you will wait. And the front desk people allllwwaaaayyyssss are rude. Always. Doesn’t matter who it is they are just rude. I don’t know why. But the doctors are always great and nice and make you feel better. So in my expedites worth the rudeness and wait time. Better than waiting weeks or months to get into a primary for something that’s need to be dealt with now.
Staff is always pleasant and professional. Unfortunately every time we schedule an appointment and arrive it does NOT guarantee youll be seen then and others that are walk in always go ahead of us. Why have the online option to schedule an appointment? Otherwise this is a fantastic urgent care.
I’ll preface with my Doctor was incredible. She was kind and thoughtful in her approach, this one star is NOT an inditement on her. However, the girls upfront, that’s a totally different conversation that deserves some attention. Originally I arrive on the 29th and was told they couldn’t take anymore walk-ins and was scheduled for the following day. When I showed up to my appt the next day the doctor asked, “didn’t I see you here yesterday” and I replied, “yup, they said you were too busy.” She laughed as if she had plenty of time and verified that assumption right after. The girls up front at reception are simply lazy and it didn’t take more than a few minutes to figure that out. In summary, the doctor rules and the girls up front need a kick in the you know what…
Canceled appt as we walked in even though I booked and a text messaged stated that it would see us soon there is no way they have a 4.3 review
Amazing staff! Great nurse doctor was pleasant and considerate. Got me in and out.
Actually scheduling and Time to be seen was very prompt. Best to have your paperwork filled beforehand if given the opportunity.I would recommend them. Even if it’s tele health. Mine required a physical visit.
I am very pleased with my visit today from the front desk. Jennifer was very attentive, helpful and welcoming and the doctor was amazing very thorough and showed a lot of concern for my child’s well-being. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to visit this next care location
We walked in and there were zero patients in the waiting room. The triage nurse and the provider were both very kind. We were encouraged we would be in-and-out for our daughter’s simple eyebrow laceration. However, we waited TWO HOURS only to learn that the doctor rarely-if-ever sutured patients. After 2 hours of waiting the provider finally came in. After asking, she informed us the viscous lidocaine (gel) was backordered for 3 months so they had to inject without prior numbing to numb our daughter. To clean a wound, you need high pressure irrigation. Additionally, when you numb a wound, it’s best if possible to inject INSIDE the wound itself to not create additional skin trauma if possible. The provider did neither of these things. Her hands were shaking so badly she could hardly get the needle into our daughter’s eyebrow. That was the moment when we decided to politely get up and leave. At the front desk we learned we would be billed $140 for our “visit” which was borderline malpractice. Unbelievable.
The experience was really good! I didnt have to wait long. The receptionist was kind and courteous. The Doctor very informative and helpful.
Usually we go to the one off Unser but the location off Paseo was more convenient this time. Worst service, I declined the testing because I knew my child did not have the symptoms and they still pushed to do the testing. All came back negative and instead of going over things with me she then asked me what I would like to or how I want to move forward. Was talking down to me as if I didn’t not understand what was going on, very disrespectful. Took 30mins to be seen when we were the only ones on the waiting list. Will not be coming back to this location. Worst experience at a nextcare clinic
I scheduled 3 different visits to get an in person appointment 12+ hours before the scheduled appointment time. All appointments were changed to be remote, with the final changing 5 minutes prior to the appointment while in the parking lot (prior appointments had been cancelled upon Nextcare changing them to remote). Upon discharge, I was notified there was no copay despite me informing front office staff I had a 30$ copay. Within 4 days, and without notification, I was informed I had a 50$ debt which had been sent to collections without any prior attempted contact on behalf of Nextcare.
Very good visit-found the NP-Alice very competent and helpful.
Wonderful! All were kind and understanding. I am doing so much better.
Went in to get a strep tested since my roommate had strep. The rapid test came back negative but still given antibiotic since my symptoms looked like it could be strep. I found out that the roommate who went in for symptoms was t even tested !! Was looked at said it was strep. I don’t understand why this person wasn’t tested to be sure. I also don’t understand why they don’t also runs throat culture which is more accurate. If a person does not have strep and takes unnecessary antibiotic puts them at risk to lower immune system also not knowing if strep is positive can also put them at risk for more serious risks. I think both should be done to make a proper diagnosis. Guessing practice is what started the problem with wrong subscription of antibiotics in the past. Disappointed that after money spent I now having to figure out if I have strep or not.
I booked a sports physical with NextCare on 9551 Paseo Del Norte Unit D, Albuquerque, NM 87122. The wait time was good and the check-in staff were pleasant. When I finally got seated to see Nurse Practitioner, Alice Sisneros she came into the room irritated and upset and said, “What do you need?” I stated that I need a sports physical [as it states on the form]. She asked, “But why do you need this?”. I said two reasons, my out of state Doctor is requesting one [as I just moved here] and I need one for a school that I do volunteer sports activities. She dug deeper and started asking inappropriate questions for the type of service I was in need of. She asked, “What is this for?” I stated that my hormones are out of balance as I have Addison’s disease and my out of state doctor needs this physical done. She said, “We don’t deal with hormones and you need to see your primary doctor.” I stated that I just moved here and do not have one. I stated that my doctor is requesting this – I’m not requesting hormones from Next Care – I just need a sports physical. She made a phone to her supervisor – conveniently left out the fact that I need this physical for the school I volunteer at for kids on the spectrum – and she just told her boss that I need the physical for hormone replacement therapy. She came in the room and told me she they don’t deal with hormones. [Ridiculous statement because I just need a physical exam]. I said, “let’s put my Doctor’s orders aside, I still need a sports physical for the school. She then changed her story and stated that the clinic only deals with children. [Doesnt say that on the website; it clearly says that they do sports physicals]. She escorted me out for a refund. I explained that it plainly says on your website that you do sports physicals. I even called ahead of time to verify. NP Alice Sisneros was extremely rude and not patient centered. This is a very bad look for the clinic and probably needs to be looked at by the Health Department for false advertising and denial of service. NP Alice Sisneros made premature judgements about my medical needs and the “why I need a physical” part, really doesn’t matter. She denied me service that I paid for and made me feel very bad. If Next Care has people on staff that are afraid to practice medicine, then they should be in another line of business. NP Sisneros jumped to premature conclusions about an area of medicine that she has issues with, and did this without reviewing my medical history. She should have taken the time to get to know me and my medical history.
This place used to be great. Now they only do televisits. They wouldnt make an appointment over the phone, I had to come in and then they scheduled me for an hour and a half later. They were behind schedule so I had to wait longer. They didnt want to run tests until the provider ordered them. The labs take time and then we get back in the queue to have the provider return. The whole thing took 3 hours from arrival to checkout took 3 hours. If you value your time, maybe look elsewhere.
It may have felt like it took forever waiting in the waiting room and in the room because I wasn’t feeling good at all but I was only in there for an hour. Dr Linda was great and very pleasant, the front desk lady was also pleasant and made me feel like I was in the right place. She understood what I needed and I am now off to recovery and will be back to work on Monday for sure. Thank you so much!
Everything about my visit was great. Friendly at the front desk. Friendly and approachable practitioner!
Was a much better visit than the other urgent care but it hard to belive urgent cares can have a xray but not a ultrasound machine.
Great experience, the staff was very friendly and helpful to diagnose and get me on my way. I have had a great experience on prior visits as well. Thanks to M Becerra and Terrance!
Doctor was very rude! Felt as if I was wasting her time. Made my experience very uncomfortable.
My toddler woke up with symptoms of conjunctivitis in her eye. I was able to get an “appointment” for 5 pm. I checked in at 456 pm. My toddler got triaged at 6pm (approximately) where she was checked with a fever of 103. I immediately requested Tylenol to make her feel better. It took over an hour. When they brought her the Tylenol I asked for a time update to which I was met with major attitude and told that I had not scheduled in appointment it was simply a “check in time”
The staff was very caring and amazing! The provider Alice was very sweet and caring as well as Roxanne and Misti. They were all so helpful in taking care of my son!
Dr was very caring, thorough and asked appropriate questions. Very good demeanor.(Dont remember her name though)
The staff was from reception to intake to evaluating PA were all friendly, inviting, supportive, knowledgeable, and caring.
This facility is impeccably clean, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly. Doctor Alice provided excellent assistance during my visit. I highly recommend this location.
Found out last minute that my son was on the basketball team and he needed a physical I called everywhere looking for somewhere that I could take him late on a Monday evening. NextCare took walk-ins we got there about 7:00 and were done by 7:30. We had an awesome experience everyone was super friendly, and made us feel important even though we were only there for a physical. I appreciate next cares hours policies and staff I highly recommend next care.
I showed up for a scheduled office appt and was told by the friendly receptionist that they had no provider in office so Id have to pay for a teledoc appt. I am very sick so I had no choice but forcing a patient to pay $65 for what should have been an office appt is wrong, especially when the patients insurance wont cover the teledoc appt. I could have stayed in the comfort of my own home instead of driving 12 miles while really sick. While the receptionist was very friendly and professional, I cant say the same for the assistant Ashley who clearly doesnt like her job. Ashley did my vitals and said my BP was 170/121, which worried me but she wasnt phased and seemed irritated that I mentioned it being high. One of the scripts wasnt sent to my pharmacy so I called them back this morning to let them know and Ashley was so rude and refused to assist me with the medication that wasnt sent and sounded so aggravated that I called needing help. I never received my discharge paperwork so she said shed email it to me and it clearly states I should have received one more medication but she couldnt be bothered to help and blamed the pharmacy. I told her I hoped her day got better and when I received my email it simply stated here you go! This entire situation has been so trying and I dont understand how Nextcare would hire someone who clearly has no interest in helping others, looks so miserable and has no clue how to communicate with people.
I used to like this urgent care. Fast, clean, and quiet. But the last time I went, I showed up for an appointment only to be told they didn’t have an in person provider and that I could have an appointment over zoom. If I wanted a telehealth appointment, I would make one from home. Unacceptable.
I just needed my prescription for my blood pressure medicine filled and I waited an hour in the waiting room half hour in the exam room only to find out that the doctor can only write me a one month supply of my high blood pressure medicine I needed a 3 month supply. Its not a controlled substance its just high blood pressure medicine the doctor saw me for all of 60 seconds she spent more time talking about why she couldnt write me a 3-month supply of my high blood pressure medicine amlodipine. And I spent $100 it cost me $100 for the doctor to talk to me for 60 seconds. I dont understand healthcare I dont understand how it all works but I am so very upset and I dont want to die.
I have been here twice for both my sons 2 yr old and a 5yr old. The pediatrician Daniel Spohn is amazing, very friendly and patient and very informative. I would recommend NextCare Urgent Care for Pediatric services.
This place gave the worst help possible mind u this is not my first time at a nextcare but the doctor was being very judgmental on what was going on with me. Gave me information on what he thought was the problem but wasn’t fully sure what was going on so he had me go try to schedule with a doctor that is in that field he offered that if I couldn’t get seen the same day to give me a shot of antibiotics but after I was done said he couldn’t go through with that and he can’t do anything to help so kinda confused on how he has a medical license but can’t help not even with a medical opinion
I had a very good experience today at the Drs office, They took me in @ last minute for a cat bite! Everyone was very friendly... It was definitely worth the drive! I highly recommend them to everyone that is need of a Dr. It didnt take forever like most places do! Thanks again to all of the staff... Keep up the good work!😊👍😃
Everyone was very nice and professional. I love that they offer appointments, and they were quick. The only reason Im leaving a four is because they sent my prescription to the wrong Walgreens that is quite a ways away. I put where I wanted them to go in my paperwork, and relayed it orally.
Absolutely terrible service. You will not receive care here. Was first in line at 8a. They Helped the girl behind me first. Told to come back at 830a. Was checked in at that time. Not one please, thank you, your welcome. Waited for an hour. Was told if I wasn’t seen in 20 mins they would come check on me. At the hour point, i came out of the room to inquire and was accosted by some older lady threatening to call 911. She was ranting and raving and pointing her finger at me. Accusing me of causing a scene. I simply told her i had been in the room an hour and they said they would come check on me if I hadn’t been seen in 20 minutes. Obviously under a lot of stress and not handling it well. Ridiculous!Go somewhere else! Absolutely the worst customer treatment and care. Other much better places to go in town like duke city urgent care. Idk why i tried this place. Terrible experience!! Wasted 2 hours and still no care.
Great location for me, but i love that i can make an appt Staff friendly and i dont wait long to see doc
Even though I was a walk in patient, I only had to wait 15 minutes. The staff and nurse practitioner were friendly. The NP took the time to discuss my symptoms and the options for treatment. Felt like she cared.
The doctor I saw was GREAT! She was very knowledgeable! She basically new what was wrong with me before she came in the room. And then it only took one look for her to tell the severity of my condition and what to do. The front desk was great too. Very helpful and fast. Thank you Next Care!
Do not bring your family to this facility!!! I was referred to this clinic by a friend who assured me this was a decent facility. He was wrong. After finally being taken back, an aid took my vitals and I waited for the doctor. The doctor came in for literally 1 minute, asked me my symptoms and immediately told me to go to the ER. She also said she would provide me with medication for my migraine before giving me a referral and pushing me out of the door. On said referral, she lied stating she had offered me something, when in fact, she never mentioned it to me at all. I received a follow-up call at 8:30 am this morning and I let the staff know that nothing had been called in for me as doctor originally stated. I called at 3:30 pm today to try and figure out why no one had called me in seven hours. I was on hold for twenty minutes without ANYONE answering my call. I decided to drive there with me still being on hold. When I arrived, the young, heavyset woman whom I had dealt with the day prior, was sitting in an empty facility, and was not on the phone. She told me that all calls to this facility are re-routed. Even though I called the number again and the phone immediately rang in the office. She told me she would get the manager for me, but moments later emerged with a sticky note with a number to call the SAME FACILITY WHICH REFUSED TO ANSWER MY CALL IN THE FIRST PLACE. Mind you, yesterday was my first time ever coming to said facility. Im on day four of a severe migraine and the manager had magically just stepped out moments before I came to sepak to someone. Dont NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I WILL BE CONTACTING MY INSURANCE, AND many others regarding this trough of garbage. You should be ashamed of yourselves! You might normally treat your patients with this disrespect, but I will NOT tolerate it! I have seen what you charge for the visit, and its asinine! Next time you should think before treating your patients with no respect. I was not the one, but Im sure this isnt the last time you will deal with this. With me it is.. Bad choices lead to consequences!!
I knew I was going to wait since it was New Years Eve day and they were working with a skeleton crew, but I appreciated that I could wait at home until they could see me.The PA and his assistant were personable, competent, and respectful. I felt very comfortable with them. The woman who ran the front and was first point of contact was amazing. As busy as they were, she remained cheerful and very helpful.I had a very positive experience there. Thanks ☺
I was able to check in for my appointment the night before the appointment date, providing insurance information and reason for my visit. Less than a few minutes after the appointment time I was seen by a staff member. The exam process was efficient and carried out by a knowledgeable provider who explained my condition and answered all of my questions in a kind and complete manner.
The Dr. Who removed my stitches was rude and when I was in obvious pain, she replied with Ive removed many stitches and they dont hurt. Glad that everyone is the same. SHE had no bedside manner and I hope that she isnt like this with others. If I have to see that Dr.I would not return. However, the office staff and Nurses were super. They were helpful and kind.
It was an amazing experience. All three people who helped me, front desk lady, vitals lady and Dr. were so friendly and professional. I was seen very quickly. Best urgent cate I have been too.
This is how all healthcare visits should be: quick and easy. In and out in an hour! Everyone was pleasant and helpful! My new favorite UC clinic.
Very efficient with no wait time. My issue was diagnosed and resolved quickly and professionally!
The only next care in the metro had only one provider on New Year’s Day. My daughter and I waited for two and an half hours to have a three minute appointment with an overworked provider. Do better, Nextcare.
I am a physician from out of town and needed quick care close to my house. I called NextCare Urgent Care and was offered to look up my co-pay and waiting time. The X-Ray tech, although very professional was not very friendly but was my triage person. Everything was done quickly. I was not seen by a physician but the family nurse practitioner did exactly what needed to be done and within 1.5 hours I was in and out and properly, appropriately and professionally treated and I was comforted by the nurse practitioner over my freak accident and involved in my care. I liked the place. Just make your X-ray tech friendlier. She is important and much appreciated!
I came as a walk-in for a sore throat and congestion. I dont have insurance so I came here because of the great reviews. There was barely a wait which was great. They took one test to determine if i have the flu. I then got to see the nurse practioner who told me that it was probably a common cold. She was super sweet. I went to check out and they told me that the visit would be $450! I just got one test and I didnt even get to see the doctor. The front desk lady was not nice and she said that the starting cost for visit is $300 plus any test. I requested an itemized list for the cost but she wouldnt give it to me. She told me it was less when I first walked in but she denied it. She then told me to sign up for a membership to lower the cost. At the end, I had to sign up for it. I gave 2 stars since the back staff was nice. I will not be coming back again
We always use them. Fast, professional, and listen to my issues. We drove across town today for this specific clinic.
Amazing! So impressed with this facility. Needed a sports physical and waited until the last minute, they were able to get me in immediately. Friendly and attentive staff! Highly recommend
Tried calling them. I was left on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes and never did a human being pick up the phone. Exactly every 8 seconds I was told how important my call is to them. That means their hold recording told me 525 that my call was very important to them, yet no one ever answered the phone.
I walked in the door 30 minutes before the clinic closed. There did not seem to be any other patients in the facility. The 3 staff members were courteous, professional and caring. I was out of the clinic in less than 30 minutes with labs done and a prescription called in to the pharmacy. Everything was explained clearly and in detail. I felt like I was “in good hands” and would highly recommend to my family or friends.
They got me in quick to get some medicine! Do go check this place out if you are sick. It was also relatively affordable as well
Using the email & receiving text messages made the visit quick and easy. The staff are very polite & show personal interest. They keep everything clean. The doctors professional skills made my visit feel comfortable & her personality was very friendly. Thank you all very much !!!
I always get anxious when I go and get a check up but this place was comforting and very professional. I waited for a good little but it was worth a visit for my own peace of mind. The PA and all the staff were very cool and understanding. I would go back again if needed. Lovelace is definitely quality care Ill say.
Next care is a good place to go. Id rather see Dr. LISA. This practitioner we seen was not very nice. The way he greeted us was not very professional. Also told us we can use a closer facility, I Never had an experience like this. Regardless if we have private or medicaid insurance HE or No one else should tell us where we can be seen. Very unprofessional.
My son had a dirt bike accident and our appointment wasnt until 1pm. They were able to get us in earlier, did a great job expediting our check-in with out of state insurance. The physician and staff were amazing! Calm, professional, able to help my son be at ease with a little laughter, and also included him in his care. I would highly recommend NextCare on Paseo if youre ever in need.
Nextcare took great care of me. Gave me the medication I could really use as well as getting a thorough examination. The attending physician listened to me and made me feel comfortable. The staff was very professional and friendly. I want to say thank you as I am feeling better. Thank you again.
NextCare welcomed me as a walk-in for my COVID test. A few forms to fill out, along with my ID and insurance cards, and then I was asked to wait in my car until called. 20 minutes later the text came, and I went back in. I was ushered to a prep room, where they took vitals, confirmed essentials of my medical history, etc.I then went to another clinical room, and within a minute or two the doctor came. She was very personable, seemed warmly interested in me as a person, etc. She administered the COVID test (swab to the back of the throat), which made me gag. She smiles and said, “That means I got what I need!” She said I should have the results within 2 to 3 days. The doctor then asked me if I had any questions. I asked her a few, and she answered thoughtfully and openly. She then wished me well, and we were done! I was there for less than 45 minutes, from start to finish.I definitely recommend NextCare as a friendly and efficient clinic.
I had a terrific experience at NextCare. The staff was knowledgeable and patient. Everything one would want in a healthcare visit.
Worst staff ever. Extremely rude. Pick any other office they have no care for you or your time. Appointments dont matter. Waited 2 and a half hours for a strep test. Absolutely ridiculous
Service was good . Was sent to hospital for tests.
Nice and quiet location. Wait time can sometimes be a little long; however, it’s usually worth the wait. Physician takes her time and asks all necessary questions to give an accurate prognosis. Nurse and office staff are friendly and caring. I live across town, but I don’t mind driving for better service.
Relatively pleasant urgent care. Front desk staff was great, waiting room was big enough that we did not have to worry about being close enough to someone sick to catch something new. Nurse practitioner and nursing staff were fine too. There is an option to check in on line ---next time I would definitely try that.
Efficient, excellent care. Front staff was very kind and caring.
I went to this urgent care yesterday. Their was no wait. The front office staff was helpful. I went in and explained my problems to the nurse and she took vitals and assisted me to the PA. The PA was very nice and also listened to me. She did a test and found a helpful solution. I was very pleased by how fast and easy it was to get in and out. I would recommend to everyone that this place is so helpful and stress free.
The doctor and nurse were awesome. The front person needs some customer service training. She was a little passive aggressive.
I thought the level of care I received was good. The PA I met with and the technician both seemed very competent. The reason this is a four-star and not a five-star review is because I waited about an hour after my scheduled appointment to see the provider.
Came in as a walk in with a very stupid injury to my hand and had a very favorable impression. There was some waiting but I was in and out with my hand cleaned out and a tetanus shot for $140 dollars. They claim to do 1/3 the cost of an ER but I’d expect $1400 at an out of network ER, easy. Very professional and very reasonable people.
This was actually the best urgent care experience Ive had. from the woman at the front desk to the doctor who helped me and listened, this is how every visit should be.
This was my 1st visit at Next Care. Although I am not very tech savvy, I was able to schedule my appointment very easily online. I have been an RN for over 33 years and I recognize quality care when I receive it. This is a wonderful clean facility. I got great care and my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I will come again if I ever need to!
Nothing urgent about this Urgent Care. I set an appointment 2 hours before we arrived on their website. After checking in their receptionist informed us that registering and setting an appointments online did not guarantee an appointment. Subsequently, we waited an additional hour in the lobby and another 45 minutes to get an X-ray. As we waited in one of the rooms they had a TV with a message encouraging patients to register online to reduce our wait time. WTF?
Ive been here 3 times in the last 9 days. First 2 times were great. Today, it was horrible. The MA named Ashley was rude and did not listen to my answers. She asked the same questions multiple times, and I answered multiple times, and after each of my answers she said ok but then asked again in a few minutes. This was painful due to my sore throat. I found her to be rude and uncaring.
This Urgent Care is a joke. I checked in with 4 people ahead of me and ended up spending over 2 hours there! I understand the needs of others but thats a ridiculous amount of time. Even if you see each person for 20 minutes it would take 1 hour! Everyone knows the doc spends 5 minutes in the room and leaves. Will never come back to this location. Absurd!
Went for anxiety and sleep problems and doctor was treating me like I was there specifically for drugs. Doctor was acting very dismissive and uninterested in my problems terrible bedside manner.
I really like this location, the staff are friendly and the care providers really hear you out about whats ailing you and want to help. Ive been to other Albuquerque next care locations and didnt feel as though my illness was being properly assessed, or that the service was as friendly, this location is the best in my opinion.
First time visitor. I was able to check in online the night before. Doing that was quick and easy. Minimal paperwork was required and since I was basically the first in line, I was seen right away. The front desk staff was easy to work with. Both the nurse and PA were very pleasant and friendly. Clean office, friendly staff, accessible hours. Good experience all around.
Great care from very kind and knowledgeable providers they are great in every respect. They were busy but still honored our 4 PM appointment. We were seen in what seemed to be a very minimal wait compared to the 2 hours at another Urgent care/ ER.
The nurse and front desk person who helped me were super friendly and kind. They were welcoming and warm, wait times were quick. The doctor, however, acted as though she didnt have time to worry about me and rushed me out quickly even though I was literally the only patient in the building.
Mireya was wonderful and helped me understand my issue. So the Dr. was greatly appreciated. I just wish the clinic had more radiology equipment.
Easy to schedule! Friendly and professional staff. VeryHelpful doctors who truly care about you!
Staff was so nice and helpful and very calm
Pretty new to the Albuquerque area and stressed about finding good medical care. The PA at this clinic is such a breath of fresh air. Dr. Katie Anderson - I have seen her twice for completely different issues and both instances she was so helpful, informative, and kind. It makes such a difference when a medical provider spends the time to listen and talk through things with you. Dr. Anderson spent the extra time and care to help me and my husband understand our options regarding the issues we were concerned about. Let me also mention that my appointment was at the very end of the day (when everyone is tired and wants to push you out the door) and she was kind, thorough, and informative, regardless of the fact that it was late and she had been there for probably 12 - 14 hours. She impressed me so much and I just want to leave a review to help others in my position to find a good medical provider for urgent needs. say thank you to NextCare and Dr. Anderson.
This location on paseo is worth driving to. Lots of same day appointments and in and out in 20 min. Every other place in town was a long wait and there was no one here. Drive a bit to get here and save hours of time waiting at other locations.
What urgent care doesnt have a physician onsite? Ridiculous and a waist of time. I understand now why there are signs that say no threats, and no verbal abuse. You go to an ER and spend hours to get seen by a doctor, you go to urgent care and they dont even have doctors. Very disappointing.
Pricy and they don’t have all equipment. Better for small helth problems but not for major issues.
Perfect! Great staff, great care. Excellent experience.
Staff was kind and professional. Terrence was a joy to meet and have him take care of myself and my daughter.
Convenient & fast service. I always like going to this office. Staff are very professional & helpful.
Made appointment for childs school physical, show up for it and they ask me for paperwork from the school. I told them I didnt think I needed it but had it at home. They refused to see my son, at first claiming lack of paperwork but when I offered to bring it they claimed the physician was not comfortable seeing him. No other reason provided. Honestly I believe it is because I was paying out-of-pocket.
Great. Everyone was so nice. The Dr. was very detailed in telling what I had and the medicine she was prescribing for it.
This is my third visit to this particular urgent care over the last year. They are always welcoming and nice and the building is immaculate and there is a very nice waiting room with the TV. The PA there is attentive, engaging and thorough. I have left each time with a prescription for what ails me. I only go to urgent care when it is urgent. Otherwise, I go to my primary care for all regular medical assessments. The folks at this particular urgent care are the best. I will continue to use this urgent care when the need is urgent. I would highly recommend them.
Of all the NextCares in ABQ, this is the best location. They are fast, efficient, and utmost friendly. You cannot go wrong with this place. You also dont need an appointment they take walk-ins. I highly recommend this location to those that do need Urgent Care without an appointment.
Misti S. Pssma was absolutely rude! Needed to be seen but close 10 mins early because they were at full capacity with 1 person waiting.. schedule for tomorrow and hopefully she isnt here
This place is awesome. Front desk, MA, Dr.s are all friendly and professional.Dr.s listen to you and arent rushing you out the door!Usually seen right away only twice had to wait an hour but then there were quite a few people in waiting area and im sure when their turn came up they wanted to be heard as well.I’ve been to 2 other urgent cares but none can beat this one!Great job!
I love how convenient NextCare is. There is always 2 to 3 people waiting in the lobby, the receptionist and nurses are always so nice and respectful. Doctor Lisa is awesome. Shes gentle and sweet. Easy to talk to and wise! The facility itself is always so clean and has hand sanitizer/hand lotion every 5 feet lol. Thank you NextCare for caring for my precious daughter and I! ☺ 👍 ❤
Had an appt. but had to wait past my time. Intake & care giver was great. Daniel was very knowledgeable. Did a good job. Waited a while for discharge paper but found out they would b available in app.
The only nurse that was available working the front and back sat down in the front the entire time I turned in my paperwork to the girl next to her for them to tell me that they just walked their x-ray technician out when she was sitting there the entire time it is the most unprofessional place I have been to and theres also signs saying that theres not an actual physician on the site. Never will I come back to this place. And the girl thats working in the front office happened to express that shes the only one that works there and shes working 3 13 hour shifts must be a hard job to sit down on the office chair all day long and not take care of the patients when theres only three people in front of you in your lobby.
Dr. Lisa (not sure the last name) was amazing. Im so sorry you were there all alone but you were still willing to take patients!! You and your staff were helpful and sweet. Thank you all again for everything!
Went in feeling like I was going to faint with extreme anxiety because I was so sick and was “diagnosed” with an “Aortic Aneurysm” without having any imaging done. Doctor was very aloof. Anxiety was through the roof thinking my Aorta was about to burst. Went straight to the Emergency Room and Doctor there tells me that I am just dehydrated and that they’re able to feel a heartbeat in my stomach because I am very thin, not because I have an Aortic Aneurysm! Extremely unprofessional... Nurses at Nextcare were inexperienced but also agreed with the misdiagnosis of the doctor that I had a “mass” in my stomach. Practically gave my mom and I heart attack. No one should be diagnosed with a life-threatening condition without having proper imaging tests.
My son needed a sports physical done ASAP and NextCare was open and willing to get it done! The staff was super friendly and helpful! We got there at 8am, there was 2 people in front of us and we were in and out within 1 hour! Thanks so much NextCare!!!
Drove an hour and spent a hundred dollars for nothing. I told the doctor I get ear infections and sinus infections all the time. She said yeah your ears red in there but you havent had the symptoms long enough. So now tonight full on ear and sinus infection with nothing to take. Guess you got to be in complete misery before this doctor will listen to her patients. She gave me stuff for allergies. Do not recommend this place at all.Just to follow up I went to a med express as soon as I got home. Ends up it is double lung pneumonia. I understand your folks are licensed health care providers, but they should listen to their patients a little more. I told her it felt like pneumonia.
Very easy to get in to see the Dr. and they take time to listen to me about why I am there. They always take my vitals and gives feed back. It is hard to get into to see my Dr. without an appointment and that might be a few days to get in. I am in to see the Dr. T Urgent care 15 min. , see the Dr. , spends another 15 minutes, gives me diagnosed info., writes a prescription and I am on the way. Always kind, and courteous.
I should have followed my gut when I called this place, and the receptionist answered the phone and told me she is not able to book appointments and insisted I needed to go online to book an appointment or come in. After I asked her if she could book an appointment for me if my daughter has visited there before, she said she could if she could put me on hold for 5 minutes while she checked in a patient. When I got there, the receptionist (same lady) hands me a two page form to fill out. Obviously, the form is confusing, because she has gone through and highlighted all of the fields she wants me to fill out. They run Windows 7 and insisted on taking my date of birth into their database. Why do I have to fill out a complete intake form if my daughter has already been there before? This makes absolutely no sense. The center seems to be short on computers that connect to their health informatics system, because the nurse took my daughters vitals, entered them into the computer, and escorted us to another patient room that doesnt have a computer. We were seen by an Indian doctor who was kind and thoughtful. While I was waiting outside the door while the doctor examined my daughter (for about 2 minutes), a nurse said Im not allowed to stand there and insisted that I wait in the lobby. Then she escorts me back to the patient room where my daughter was.Overall, the staff really rubbed me the wrong way. Part of it is due to bad management and part of it is due to poor hiring choices at the front desk. I will never go back to this place again. My experience was completely antithetical to the mission statement they keep flashing on the led TV in the patient room above my daughters head. Never again!
I used the online check-in and was sent a message to arrive at 8:51am. I stepped in the door at 8:51am, was greeted & signed in. Very soon after, I was called back and treated very well by the nurse whom recorded my vitals, reason for visit, etc.. I was taken to a room and within 5 minutes was speaking to a doctor. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant. My needs were met and I stepped out the door of the clinic at 9:51am, exactly one hour later. I must say, this was the best experience Ive ever had at an urgent care clinic! Needless to say, I will be going to NextCare urgent care, from now on, should I ever need to.
I was told on the phone that they excepted my insurance plan. I proceeded to fill out all their paperwork online, but when I showed up for my appointment, they said they would not accept my insurance. With that kind of incompetence, I’m glad they didn’t have the chance to treat me medically!
I called at 7AM and got an appointment at 8AM. The staff were friendly and efficient. The Doctor was attentive, got right to the problem (strep throat), ordered my prescription and sent me home with time to write this review before 9AM. For medical help on short notice these people are great!
I wanted to be COVID tested. I went to Nextcare.com and made my appointment. When I got there I was greeted cordially and filled out the necessary forms. The facility was very clean and the young woman who took my vitals was friendly and professional. The PA who administered the test was as careful as could be. Thank you all.
We have been waiting for close to 3 hours. I tend to be patient and do not like to leave bad reviews, but I have made an exception. People were called back who arrived after us and we had called and made an appointment ahead of time. Then the nurse came out and attempted to say it was our fault that she had called us. We sat next to the door and didnt leave our seat while we waited. It seemed chaotic and unprofessional. The employees were blaming each other and trying to make excuses for having us wait. The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the doctor was good and explained everything very clearly.
Make an appointment on their website... 2 hours later get an alert that theres no provider available for the appointment. Weve now done this with three different locations. All we need is a pediatric physical for school sports, and this is SUPPOSED TO BE the NMAA preferred place to get one. If you dont have a provider, make sure your available appointments reflect this! NMAA needs to find a different preferred company if this place cant figure something as simple as making appointments out.
Clean, beautiful facility. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. The young lady who took my vitals was professional and courteous. No wait so I was seen prompty. The PA was friendly, professional and took her time examining me and coming up with a treatment plan.
Our visit went well, but we had a 2:30 appointment, and the doctor came in at 3:30. I think there was a patient in back when we came in, but we were there only ones waiting for the first 20 minutes, so I expected to be seen sooner. The PAC was Steven Sombrano, and he was nice and professional. I would see him again.
Next care was recommended for my child sports physical by APS. My daughter was required to complete one before she could try out. We were able to walk in and get a physical within a couple of hours, no appointment needed. The out of pocket cost was reasonable, actually less then what I would have paid to see her PCP.
Always fast, clean and the staff is wonderful!
They were efficient, the check up was reasonably timed and their blood test was pain free. It’s also a solid place for STD testing if you have insurance.
I went to a different location three days prior, my “home” location. It was slow service and bare minimum customer service. They never got back to me, even after leaving two messages for them. I went to a different location today, and the service was so fast so much better. The MA and PA that tended to me apologized several times for the bad service of the other location and got everything I needed taken care of right away. Will be returning to the Paseo and Holbrook location.
Everyone was nice but we were just there for asymptotic covid tests your return to work after traveling out of state. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours! It seems the triage gal should have been able to quickly administer the test instead of waiting for the PA
Got denied when I was fighting back tears of pain from a finger infection. Id rather go suffer than deal with them
In and out in 36 minutes from check in to check out! Staff is super courteous. Pa was knowledgable with a fantastic bedside manner. I just really appreciate the care they provide. I had been sick for a week, after getting on the meds the recommended I felt better in 2 days! Thank you!
Checked in at 10:45 a.m. wasnt seen for 2 1/2 hours with only 4 people ahead of me? Its just frustrating when you dont feel good and youve had much better visits in the past! Communication is key between staff and patients. The nurse got upset with me because she put all my information on the wrong chart! Shouldnt she be checking the chart hanging on the door? Verify the patient name by asking in a very clear, unmuffled, louder than normal because of mask mandate tone? Its those little, inconsequential acts that make all the difference in your visit!!
Apparently I had forgotten the pain of my earlier visit. I took my son here today because we were desperate - TWO hours wait later (that was WITH an appointment!) I could have done better with Google and letting him rest in bed for the day. Stay far away.Earlier review: Ive seen the PA twice, and both times I was quite unimpressed with her knowledge (lack thereof, really) and her unwillingness to prescribe a medication to help. And no, Im not talking about pain medications or controlled substances of any kind. I wasted both time and money. Theyre not all that fast either. Never again.
Loved that I was able to register online and have all the paperwork done and also make an appointment. I was in and out quickly. The doctor listened to my concerns, he was informative and caring. Staff was professional and friendly.
My daughter felt and heard the pop in her ankle with an unsuccessful slide into base playing softball. There was no doubt something significant had happened to her ankle. Immediate bruising and swelling. Unable to bear any weight. Facility was clean, staff very kind. Unfortunately, the medical part was just unbelievably bad. The doctor on site admitted “I can’t see anything obvious on the x-rays but we have someone else read them again later. They will call you with that report tomorrow”. So for a young girl in obvious pain with an obvious injury/swelling...we are going to put a little plastic drug store splint on you and give you a prescription for a mild muscle relaxer...take ibuprofen, rest, ice, elevate and use your own crutches for a few days. Then just weight-bear as tolerated and follow up with your doctor if still in pain in 2 weeks. This was on a Tuesday night. Because we know people in the medical field, we thankfully disregarded most of what they said to us. We took a copy of our x-rays to be read by someone else. My daughter had surgery 3 days later to stabilize her fracture. We are doing very well several months out. Second surgery to remove the screw recently and too many physical therapy appointments to count. Our surgeon was horrified and wanted to call them. He was shocked by the terrible splint slapped on an obvious broken ankle, not to mention the lack of diagnosis. This was not a hairline type hard to see break. They did call as promised to give me the “final read” of our x-rays taken after hours. I’m in the car running to a CT-Scan apt., to see if surgery is needed, when the call came. I wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry...”Hi, we are just calling as promised to let you know ### does not have a break in her ankle. Just continue to rest, ice and elevate. Take your medicine as prescribed and follow up with your doctor if she is still having pain in a few weeks.” I kindly told them what was going on and that they were incorrect. They said they would give that feedback to the person reading the x-ray.I’m writing this this review for the other moms out there. If you go here or any place similar and know what they are telling you isn’t right. Don’t take their word for it. Keep looking and find someone you trust to look into things. We would have suffered much longer and potentially caused more harm had we trusted in their diagnosis.
Very rude receptionist (Brianna?)and I waited 40 minutes only to find that they didnt have a strep test. They agreed to transfer my info and appointment to a location that did have the tests but then they didnt actually do it. Waited over 40 more minutes again and had to fill out the paperwork all over again. Strongly not recommended. Total Time invested was over two hours even though I had an appointment. Urgent Care is apparently not very urgent.
