While the one doctor I saw initially at Arlington was lovely and helpful, the overall communication of information by the nurses and desk staff/ phone staff was intolerable. Went in for rib/ breathing pain after work and was sent to get xrays the next morning. I went to mount auburn radiology. They did a great job, very easy process if you go early. I was told my results would be sent back to Arlington urgent care and I would be called within 6 hours. Time passed and no call. By 1pm I had to call multiple times to ask about my results. They claimed (at 2:15pm) they had not received them from the radiology center despite the radiology center having sent them 20 minutes after my appointment, at 9:10am. Called a couple more times to figure out how to connect them and get my X-rays. Finally found out at 5:45pm when I called after my work ended that they had actually received them and would “let me know”. I did not get notified of my results until almost 12 hours after I should have. I called close to 10 times in between, talked to 5 different people at the Arlington center and stayed on the phone on hold for 45 minutes only to be hung up on. Absolutely unprofessional and abhorrent health care.
I have never been so well attended to in a company like I was today! From the beginning of the service, everyone was very attentive, polite, caring, kind! The nurse was very supportive of my situation, very patient and willing to explain every detail to me! The secretaries were super patient too!Thank you so much
Really nice experience. The online process was easy. Highly recommend reserving a spot online. Although I still had to wait for 20 minutes, I thought for an Urgent Care that’s pretty good. Reserving a spot is not the same as making an appointment. Please keep that in mind. There were several walk-ins while I was waiting, and they go way after us.Fill out your information online before you go. You can also check in online once you are in the office and you can see how many people are ahead of you. I love that. The folks there are absolutely wonderful. They are kind and patient. Veronica tended to me. She is a Nurse Practitioner. I never felt rushed. She REALLY listened and cared about what I was going through physically. I also appreciate when she checked up on me if she thought I’ve been waiting too long. Big plus!I walked by this place thousands of times. Never thought I’d ever have to use it. Grateful for this place!
I went in with a cough and body aches. The staff was very friendly and efficient and they quickly diagnosed me with the flu, gave me the steps to take that are safe while pregnant. I highly recommend coming to this location for care.
Great staff, caring and thorough medical professionals. Had a real hard time with a sore throat, and they were all so helpful with testing and such. Great clinic and wonderful, understanding people.
I have never posted a review before but I have been to the AFC Urgent Care in Arlington 3 times and have to say I have left disappointed and frustrated each time.I went in for flu like symptoms this week and waited 45 minutes before getting called into a room at which point a nurse (super helpful and kind) took my vitals, that was the good part.It took at least 1 hour for the doctor to see me without anyone checking on me or provide updates and all I came away with is an “you just have to fight it out” and a prescription for an inhaler in case I have shortness of breath. After being given my paperwork to check out, the girl at the front desk asked me to sit down again in the waiting room. After about 5 minutes I went back up to the desk to ask why I was waiting and she told me I was all set to leave…I completely understand that this facility has always been short staffed and the medical staff are doing their best with the folks they have but I am now sitting here at day 7 of having a fever and flu wondering if I have bronchitis. They told me to go back in after 3 days if I still have symptoms (I do) but have no interest in paying another $165 to get treatment that they should have given me the first time. I recommend going anywhere else for medical care until this facility is properly staffed and organized.UPDATE: I went to a different Urgent Care and found out I also have Pneumonia, AFC Arlington dropped the ball big time.
I have been twice this past week. Once for myself and then for my son and I have never experienced an easier process in my life. The staff are friendly. It’s fast and efficient. The drs and nurses are outstanding. This is how a medical visit should be. Thank you!
I walked in and literally walked out. You book an appointment for 1pm and you walk in and now it’s at 3pm. Front desk girl was absolutely useless. Put in all my insurance info into app and then it disappeared. So that was weird. I had a feeling they were going to try to private pay bill me after the appointment. Usually they check insurance to see if you’re covered before you come in. And I kept seeing people paying. That seemed sketchy. It had a small waiting room… people coughing not covering their mouth. Blowing their nose all over the place. Not one staff member said “put on a mask” not even the staff had a mask on. I just felt like I was coming in with one issue, and probably leaving with a whole other. (Like COVID or Pneumonia) Yah, all set! The place seemed a lil biohazard. With a touch of scam artist. I’m good
Although my teen daughter had a pleasant experience with the doctor, she was misdiagnosed and prescribed antibiotics that were unnecessary which led to a yeast infection. She had a NEGATIVE strep rapid test. The doctor told her to take antibiotics until the culture came back. (This is generally very bad advice). She had a NEGATIVE strep culture and the doctor told her to keep taking the antibiotics for tonsillitis. Unfortunately, because my daughter is 18, and was with her other parent for the weekend, I was kept mostly out of all of this. When she shared all this info with me on day 6 of her antibiotics, I called her doctor and they told her to STOP taking the antibiotics. Because two negative tests means that, even if it was tonsillitis, it was viral making the antibiotics not only useless but harmful. We all know about the real threat of antibiotics resistance. I called AFC to discuss this but they never called me back. Therefore, I have no choice other than to leave a review to make others aware that they should be VERY careful with medical advice they receive from this clinic and ALWAYS follow up with your doctor. This is so disappointing.
Walked into this place on a Saturday. My appointment was for 3pm they called me to ask if I could come in earlier because they were closing?? I came in at 12pm I was seen fairly quickly, I was feeling horrible, the Dr came in looked up my nose said it was red and asked what my other symptoms were, I responded that I had a hard time breathing in my chest was hurting, maybe bronchitis. So she gave me antibiotics without giving me an XRay on my chest. Six days later, I’m still very sick. I walked into Mass General urgent care in Chelsea I mentioned to the doctor when it happened he was shocked that I was prescribed an antibiotic without giving me an x-ray!!! Mgh gave me a chest XRay As well as prednisone and said I had COPD!! I can not believe the incompetence of this Dr at the Arlington location. They do not take their time with their patience they want them in and out as quick as possible!!IF YOU WANT THE BEST CARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND HEAD TO MASS GENERAL!!!
My first visit to AFC after slamming my finger in the car door. Everyone was friendly, efficient, and professional. Dr. Jalisi took the time to explain what needed to be done and took the extra step of making sure I got an overdue tetanus shot (painlessly delivered by the nurse). I happily recommend their practice.
I usually have a good experience when I come to this urgent care but today was awful. I spent a total of 2 hours in the AFC waiting for the doctor to see me. Once he came into the room, he spent 20 seconds examining me and asked me what course of treatment I wanted. After I left, he called me back to ask background questions in order to prescribe the medication. Maybe spend a bit more time with your patients to avoid having to call them 10 minutes after they’ve left !Will not be coming back with this provider.
I was seen by NP. She had great bedside manner, attentive to my needs and answered all my questions. The medical assistant who took my vitals dud great job as well. The receptionist presented with great customer service.
At 11:32am, the nurse finished getting a medical history and vitals on me. At 11:56am I opened the door and flagged a nurse down and she told me it would be 5 minutes more until I was seen by a doctor. It was 12:36pm when I decided to leave due to their lack of communication and transparency. Wasted my copay. Never coming back
Veronica, the NP, was great - as were the other two professionals I saw (took my vitals, etc). Minus a half star due to the fact that I was waiting for an hour but thats no ones fault.
Fairly slow most times Ive been there, either for myself or my kids. Typically takes over an hour to get seen. Today was exceptionally bad. Over 2 hours to get taken back to the exam room, then another hour to actually see a provider. Stated reason was that there is only one provider working... Then they should bake that into their projected wait times so people know to go elsewhere.
Great experience. The staff were all courteous, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. Registration and waiting time was short for my walk-in visit.
After having an awful experience at Urgent Care of Watertown (where we were treated like S), this place provided us with a completely different experience. They helped my wife on doing and having her green card process exam on time — as we could not have it done earlier as the Watertown place was re-scheduling her appointment and giving us void excuses and never doing the exam we have paid for. A special thanks to Dr. Amanda. She was incredibly good to us from the time we got there, and she quickly acted to resolve our situations to make sure we would get my wifes exam on time, and we did get it on time. If it was not for her, I think my wife would have lost her process. We are very thankful to her.
Wait time: 1 hour wait on Sat. Seen by physician assistant. Service: 6/10 I think the Front desk person was registering patients and triaging as well. She appeared a bit overwhelmed during my first interaction with her. Service by PA 9/10. Main concern: I came in with an allergic reaction. Not anaphylaxis but was visibly unwell. The front desk lady called on me twice over the hour wait to check if I’m OK. However, I do not think patients with allergic rxns should be asked to sit in the waiting area without someone actively watching for respiratory distress.
Everyone was friendly and caring! I have a very complicated medical history. The doctor read thru everything and knew how to treat without upsetting my other conditions and meds. I would definitely visit again if needed.
Roseancy was the most pleasant and competent person youve had at the front desk. She was under pressure and busy, but managed it well and kept things moving with a smile and positive attitude. Typically, the process and facility is horrible and I swear Ill never return.
I had an excellent experience at AFC Urgent Care -- from Rose, who supported us well to get appointments set up, and was caring and empathetic with my dear friends who were visiting from Europe with their 12 year old son and needed support with sudden covid diagnosis, to the medical staff who treated the family. You are a great resource!!
Charges you money then makes you wait over an hour to then upcharge you for services. This couldve been avoided had the front desk just been more transparent and not wasted someones time. Dont bother with this place.
The front staff were kind. The nurse and doctor were AMAZING! They were so approachable, sweet and caring! I loved the time they took to explain everything and they weren’t in a hurry to leave. They even had a conversation with my almost 5 year old! They sympathized with us and genuinely meant it! ❤️ They are awesome! 100% recommend :)
Check in was easy, I was seen quickly. The tech and NP who examined me were friendly, efficient, very kind and helpful. As an urgent care clinic, theyre limited in the medications they can prescribe, but they still did their absolute best to give me all the help they could.
Great reliable care for most urgent health issues. You can trust that you will be cared for. The only time ive found ive been turned away due to them being fully booked is around Christmas which is totally understandable
Honestly previously I havent had the greatest of experiences with Urgent Care but my latest visit went quite well so I wanted to take the time to give positive feedback. I suspected that a piece of my hearing aid had gotten stuck in my ear. When I got there they said they were quite busy and it would be a 1 hour wait. But he said that they could call me 5 minutes before. That in of itself pleasantly surprised me. But after they saw my issue, they realized they could probably take care of me in a couple of minutes so they pulled me to the front of the line. In fact they quickly confirmed the hearing aid piece WAS stuck in my ear and easily extracted it. Well done.
Awful doctor. Took him one hour to see me after they took my vitals. He came in and took one quick look, then misdiagnosed me. He also mistook me for another patient who tested positive for COVID. Hes probably overworked and tired, but I am now forced to get a second opinion because I dont trust his.
This is by far my favorite Urgent Care in the area. Never a long wait, the staff is friendly and helpful. Dylan is a blood removal wizard so it was completely painless. 10/10 would return.
It’s nice to have a local place for smaller emergencies. I had a cut on my head and they looked right away to see if it was something they could handle. of course I had to wait after that but I appreciated the thoughtfulness. The online registration is a pain because I’m not that good with tech.
Was told over the phone that this location offers corticosteroid injections as a service (after analysis by a doctor). I visited here for hells itch - an incredibly uncomfortable combination of neurological and histamine itching after a bad sunburn. Check-in process was fast and easy and the front desk staff were responsive. Dr. Cesar Novoa would not take my symptoms seriously, even when provided with a medical journal detailing my symptoms. He would not prescribe me any sort of relief further than an NSAID, despite me writhing uncomfortably around in his office asking him for something more powerful for relief from itching and pain. He then called this prescription in to the wrong pharmacy.
What an amazing staff here at AFC Urgent care Arlington,so friendly, they pay attention to details most importantly getting the job done as fast as possible, shout out to Amanda she has an amazing personality,I will recommend AFC Arlinton anytime everyday.
In and out very quickly, clean, and the staff was very pleasant from reception to the nurse to the doctor. Brought my two year old in and they were very quick and gentle with her.
I went in for the USCIS medical examination. The process was quick and efficient. The instructions were clear. The staff, especially Amanda Brennan, were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone needing a USCIS medical examination.
I would give zero stars if I could. I went here because I sprained my foot. The front staff and the doctor both were so unfriendly and rude. They didn’t care to look at us. the lady literally said ‘Need Appointment’ and didn’t care have another conversation with us.The whole urgent care was empty. Don’t Go Here! Very unprofessional staff.
We have visited this urgent care twice now, both visits were for my young children to be seen. The staff is professional, patient and kind. Communication is great and the atmosphere is helpful and positive. I drive a little bit further than other urgent cares just to receive the extra attention and care!
1st time visit. Had the flu Mon night-Tues-Wed-Thurs. Ended up with a sinus infection that would not go away. So when I decide enough is enough I call my doctor at NWH ....gone for the weekend...1pm Friday per the answering service. Googled Urgent Care near me. Called Partners Urgent Care.....no one answered but please leave a detailed message. So called AFC Urgent Care Watertown...and a person picked up right away....Rose (mgr) A+ said go to Arlington instead... I then booked on-line showed up. Place was great. Simple $40 co-pay took me before my 3:03pm time. The RN/PA and the Dr were all good. I dont think I was more than 30-40 minutes which is way shorter that would ever happen at my doctors office. They need to put these places next to CVS or Walgreens. There is a reason why Partners gets 2.8 stars with 51 reviews and AFC gets 4.0 with 143 reviews.2nd visit just as good as the 1st….2 years later.
I have been to Arlington Urgent Care numerous times and my experiences have been exceptional. I went today and I need to give a big shout out to Dr. Fine for her skilled expertise, knowledge, kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness. She responded with reflection to every question and was extremely thorough in her approach to help me. Even gave me a follow-up call which I appreciated very much. Thank you to all the office staff for their positive, upbeat manner. A very impressive place to go when you are sick. Happy Holidays!
I had recently been to AFC Urgent Care Arlington for a medical examination. The staff was very professional and considerate. Amanda Brennan, managed my case very well in terms of scheduling appointments, explaining the tests and timelines and following up with me. She got my tests and examinations planned and executed in a very timely manner. I believe it took at least a week less to get all my examinations and reporting done here compared to what I had from other places and it is all because of the efficient work-flow Amanda has designed. Dr. Fine was very professional during her examination. I would rate it a top-quality experience and would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care Arlington.
The staff here all amazing, but especially Amanda Brennan! Came here for a medical exam with the civil surgeon. She walked me through it, helped me gather paperwork, and told me exactly what steps I needed to take. It made the overwhelming process much easier and I am so grateful! I cannot recommend AFC enough.
Team at AFC Urgent care showed initiative, timeliness, were empathetic to the patients they were responding. Amanda Brennan was phenomenal in taking care of Immigration Queries and she is in charge of all things in that domain and was very thorough at all the FAQs since she has been doing this for sometime. Dr. Phyllis Fine was generous with her time in scheduling on an off day to meet the deadline. She pointed out that is the reason she was drawn to healthcare as a profession as a physician as she can dedicate her life in helping people. The whole experience was a paragon or a lodestar for what a great healthcare experience can be.
I love my local UrgiCare. The wonderful doctor I see listens carefully and she does everything possible to help me get better. Last Sunday, I needed a doctor and did not want to go into Boston to wait for possibly very long hours at the Beth Israel Emergency Department.Thank heavens for Arlington Urgent Care, 1/4 mile from my home. One of the doctors with whom I have worked before, was unfamiliar with my rare condition, as most doctors are. She listened intently to my diagnose which was based upon evidence and personal experience. She respected my suggestion, then independently reviewed the clinical evidence. She then prescribed the medication appropriate to my condition and slowly I am beginning to feel better. Thee visit was under 60 minutes and each and every member in the spotless cheerful office was delightful. As many of us know, oftentimes medical professionals dismiss the clients opinion about their particular illness and reprimand us to stop consulting Dr. Google when learning about ones health condition, let alone showing an MD helpful scientific writing on Google from the CDC, NIH, Mayo Clinic, et al. In this case, my condition, known to me, is explained explicitly with photographs and the proper treatment plan, including proper and effective pharmaceuticals. My doctor was grateful for my help in solving what would otherwise have been a mystery to her, and a trip to the ER for me.Thank you all at Arlington Urgent Care♥️💜💚💛🩵💗⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
AFC urgent care USED to be a fairly mediocre experience. Been going there for years, only when absolutely necessary, usually waiting a long time, getting what felt like cursory medical advice, checking the boxes nothing more.Four different family members have had visits in the last couple months, each of them really pleasant. The times we went were weekdays and a Sunday morning, so they were pretty empty, we were seen quickly after waiting no more than 10 or 15 minutes, one time we had a long wait in the exam room, but everyone of the staff from the front desk to the People who take your vitals, to the practitioners, have all been super nice and the practitioners are really knowledgeable. Especially for stuff like “I have the flu, what should I expect” — seen so many people with the flu this year that they know that the cough lasts for three or four weeks, they were able to troubleshoot some complex different infections and how they were interacting, etc.
Everyone I encountered here was friendly and professional. They worked extremely efficiently and made me feel like a priority.
Dr. Fine was excellent. Very professional and caring. I felt I was in good hands.Stephine at the front desk was excellent.Robert the EKG tech was very good.
Great experience...no one wants to be sick and going to ER in a hospital means waiting for hours. I was able to self register online prior to my visit. The staff were attentive as was Dr. Fine. Will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you!
The waiting time was long, but the service was very competent. Amanda Brennan was extremely careful and organized in providing me with all the smallest details that allowed me to safely gather all the necessary exams for the immigration process. Thank you Amanda.
My wife and I had a great experience with Arlington Urgent Care. We both required an immigration physical as part of our green card application. Amanda and the doctor performing the evaluation were both a tremendous help, and ensured the process all went very efficiently and without issue. I would recommend Arlington Urgent Care for anyone in need of an immigration physical.
Everyone that I encountered at this location was very professional and friendly. I was there on Monday, October 2 in the late afternoon and the receptionist was extremely busy but she kept her cool, was professional, and a friendly voice to everyone she dealt with that afternoon. The technician that saw me was also very thorough and asked a lot of good questions. The physicians assistant Annie was also very thorough and concerned about my health and gave me lots of recommendations.
I’ve been twice now and seen different people each time - they are all wonderful and kind and helpful.
Nice staff, busy put the patient care moved as quickly as possible. Would recommend
Pleasant interaction with Amanda Brennan and the civil surgeon Dr. Jalisi for immigration medical exam. Amanda is very professional and responsive over email. She gave honest recommendation about that should be done at the urgent care, what should be done elsewhere to save you money. The wait for each visit is longer than I would like (30 minutes-1 hour).
I wish all urgent cares were run like this! I rarely have to go (thankfully) and recently went to AFC. I made an appointment and didnt have to wait too long. The team was very nice, and the doctor examining me was thorough, and referred me to do some imagining - which was so helpful - as I was in between PCPs and didnt have a regular appointment for another month. Not only was she great in the room, but she received my test results and followed up with me to discuss the results. (Something I asked my PCP office to do but alas, they just told me to make an appt with another specialist). Anyhoo - this is a long story, but Im thankful to the team here and highly recommend their office - and other urgent cares should take notes!
Booked online an early a.m/appointment.. showed up early on a Thursday morning front desk was prepared and took me immediately checked in with minimal paperwork and was seen approximately 10 minutes later. clinician was extremely pleasant, and all tests were completed in a timely fashion thank you very much Will definitely be back.
I needed to undergo a medical examination for immigration purposes, so I reached out to several places. After talking to Amanda over the phone, I decided to go with AFC Arlington. Right from the start, it was evident that Amanda was exceptionally knowledgeable in her field. She guided us through the entire process, accommodating our tight deadline with ease. Super helpful and friendly throughout the whole process, and we got everything sorted in just over a week. Definitely recommend Amanda and AFC Arlington! :)
I did my immigration medical exam here. The first visit registration and booking were convenient through online. Location was easy to find. There are plenty of free parkings available on the street nearby. There were always wait times for check in and seeing nurses and doctor. They seemed experienced for the medical exam. I felt easy during the process. There are three different fees for lab tests, review and doctor exam. I felt the fee is a bit expensive but its worth paying for what and how you get. Highly recommend for those seeking for a clinic for the medical exam.
Refused to take care of my kid because to busy... nobody inside.... and they said, they are near to close... really 3pm !!!! on website that say 5pm...
Very efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Completely resolved my issue. Great place for urgent care!
I came here because I was assumed it was faster than the ER, even though it wouldnt be able to cover as many problems. There was one person in the waiting room when I arrived with an appointment. I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room and then 60 minutes in the exam room. Yet this place was almost empty. Save your time and cover your bases better - go to the ER.I bumped this from 1 star to 2 stars because the provider was very nice and professional. It’s AFC and its staffing model that needs to improve.
The WORST SERVICE EVER. Actually no service was done for me, at all. They charge the copay and nothing happens. DONT BOTHER GOING HERE EVEN FOR LITTLE THINGS
I’ve been to Arlington urgent care twice, and both times had fantastic doctors treat me. They took all the time needed to ask me questions and listen thoroughly. They ran necessary tests and carefully explained everything I needed to know. I was very impressed. All the medical assistants and the front desk person were professional, patient and kind.
I recently took my daughter here and we had a great experience. Check in was fast and friendly. They have free WiFi so she got to play on her iPad while we waited. The wait wasn’t long and the check-in nurse took her vitals and administered a test which he was very gentle about and my daughter, although uncomfortable from the test, thought he was very friendly. The front desk woman was very nice and offered her a lollipop and stickers and it really put a nice touch on the experience for my daughter. If we ever need something checked out when our PCP is unavailable, we’ll be coming back for sure.
Me and my family visited this clinic to get our immigration medical exams. Amanda (the person who is in charge of this kind of services) was very helpful and provided us with all needed information and support. So we managed to quickly schedule an appointment with civil surgeon and get everything done))
Four family members needed care within a week. Wonderful doctors whose expertise helped my baby grandson recover from a bacterial infection quickly. We saw improvement of his cough in one day! The staff is patient and kind. Great nurses, too.
Outstanding care! Helpful, professional, and super nice from reception to nurse to doctor. Highly recommend!
I had a good experience here on a Saturday morning to deal with minor illness. The doctor was attentive and quick with the answers. The waiting room staff was perfectly suitable. Booking online was easy I would go back.
This place was super packed, the receptionist gave me a call, when my room was available I came in. Although they had an actual on site emergency. There was constant check ins until I was seen and taken care. Great customer service, and attentiveness. From receptionists and nurses alike!
I used AFC urgent care for a bite that became infected. I really loved the online check in with a live estimated arrival time. I was warned when I got there there would be a wait, and I did wait and hour. Thanks to the system the waiting room only had a few people in it. I didnt feel crowded or like I was likely to pick up something worse than what I came in for. The PA was good and I felt I was appropriately cared for. I have a taste condition and she was generally interested and asked questions about my condition so she could learn more. And the clinic followed up to see how I was. With lots of offices still short employees, I was very grateful AFC was running smoothly.
I had a long wait but I understand how busy things are in 2023. Staff turned it around by being very nice and communicated with me often. When I went back to have my ppd read, Amanda at the desk was amazing. A very mean man called and was absolutely nasty to her and she handled it with style and grace. Very courteous. Beautiful inside and out!
Very friendly and welcoming staff. The NP on shift was amazing! Very thoughtful, caring, patient and understanding. Service was excellent and not a long wait time. I was there on a Friday morning
Since I moved to the US very recently I dont have a doctor yet and they actually dont take new patient for emergency, so I went to the urgent care and I was very impressed. At the Front desk, the person was super friendly and helpful. The nurse and doctor were both personable and knowlegable, they explain everything they were doing so that I could understand. I couldn’t have had a better experience. I highly recommend them.Valerie.
Dont have an X-ray machine. Just FYI. Was not seen at this facility, but I did call to check.
I had a great service and the nurse and the provider were very nice and professional
Unless you have no other option avoid this center! This is the second afc I have tried and the wait, even with registering on line is terrible. I saved my spot for 4:00 and was not seen until after 6:00. There was very little communication about wait times or expectations. There were only four other people in the waiting room when I arrived. The exam room which I waited in for over 45 min had flickering lights that left me with a headache. The medical assistants spent a great deal of time waiting and chatting since there was only one doctor seeing patients. The front desk did not give any warnings for wait time and in fact used the language soon when I checked in. If you do have to use this facility plan on a long day.
I have been here around 4 times, I have always been completely satisfied. The wait time varies but I have never had to wait too long. the people are always pleasant and I always register before I go there . It is so much better than having to wait for an appointment at my doctor’s office.
It was a Monday. I was sick all weekend & my doctor couldn’t see me until late Wednesday.AFC Urgent Care was able to see me. Great providers & visit. Be sure to make an appointment/register online Then Very Important go check in & they’ll call or text you when they’re ready to see you. I would have given a 5 but the waiting to be seen was Long.
We did our immigration medical exams here. We want to say thank you to Amanda and Dr Fine. Our case was a bit complicated and needed to spend extra time to handle. They are very professional, considerate and helpful!
Probably the best urgent care experience Ive ever had, I was in and out within 45 minutes with a chest x-ray. The doctors were super nice and informative!
PCR test is available without reservation. It takes only 10 min but the result needs 1 hour. The fee is 159$.
Unfortunately, the Arlington AFC Urgent Care really let me down. 1) their website drastically misquoted the price for a PCR COVID test. They said Oh, yeah, our web site is way out of date. But this I learned after sitting in the exam room getting ready to be swabbed. There I learned that Id have to fork over an additional $80 on top of the already high $169 in order to get a PCR test. I forked it over. 2) They swabbed me for COVID but somehow botched the swab, so after two days of waiting for results, they called to tell me that I have to come in and get re-swabbed. How do you botch a COVID swab? Dunno, but they did. 4) The staff in the Arlington AFC Urgent Care seemed very young, very inexperienced, very non-professional and quite chaotic. I did not come away feeling like the place was run well. 5) However, when I got re-swabbed at the Watertown branch, which they told me I needed to do, I finally felt as though I had entered a professional establishment. There the staff were professional, well-organized, and on top of their game.I would never recommend going to the Arlington AFC Urgent Care. I might recommend the Watertown branch.
I have seen 2 different doctors over the past 3 weeks. Both had a wonderful bedside manner, were extremely knowledgeable in answering my question and took my concerns very seriously. The PA was wonderful and the front desk staff appear to really enjoy what they are doing and are courteous and helpful.
We had the immigration medical exam in Arlington site. Amanda is being super helpful and made this process very smooth. It takes us around two weeks to get the medical exam done. If you need to take the immigration medical exam, recommend to take with them. Amanda will be helpful.
Edit: The people were great and helpful. I was listened to and my concerns were not dismissed.BUT DO NOT TRUST THE ONLINE WAITING SYSTEM IT IS NOT ACCURATE.I walked in after 7pm and they couldn’t see me (although they close at 8 and do not update website that they aren’t accepting any more walk-ins). I decided to give them another chance since they are so close to home, so the next day I made an appointment online for 4pm. They update you with how many people waiting in front of you and what time you should get there. This is apparently the nicest thing about them. I show up 10 minutes before my time, which was at 8:56pm. (Because the website kept pushing back the time I should be there.) And the place is closed. Dark. No one is there. I understand the hours posted but then why use this website that tells me to be there nearly an hour after closing? This system is broken. Are all AFC places this overworked and dysfunctional?
Veronica my NP was so comforting and helpful.
They help my family several times. I trust them. I am so appreciated about their help. You know, when we were hurt, we were scared and felt hopeless, we scared spending money and we scared we damaged ourselves. We don’t know what we can do, until I meet them. if you have private doctors , the situations might be different. but for me, they help me a lot and a lot. Very appreciated!
My daughter and wife recently visited AFC Arlington as patients, and we were blown away by the exceptional service and friendly staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, and the team went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was a positive one. The service was fast and efficient, and we were able to receive the care we needed quickly and effectively. We couldnt be happier with our experience at AFC Arlington, and we highly recommend this fantastic healthcare facility to anyone in need of quality medical care.
We saw an excellent PA today for our medical issue. This is a very professional and efficiently run clinic, We appreciated the expertise with which our medical issues were handled. In addition, the staff working at the reception desk did an excellent job, making us feel welcome and keeping us apprised of the wait.
We had two very Helpful Téle Meds on two successive days with same day Response, even though it was a weekend. This helped us get two Prescriptions quickly (within an hour of the end of our calls!),-which helped us greatly in dealing with COVID!So we highly Recommend using this Urgent Care Facility if you need help short of going to a Hospital ER.
Never again. Excessive wait time and zero communication from staff. People were walking out. Staff appeared and stated they were stressed when the environment appeared far from stressful for experienced staff. As a patient, this experience was extremely frustrating and angering.
Excellent health care center!! I have attended AFC in Arlington-MA, specifically for the USCIS medical exam. The front desk staff, nurses, and doctors are all very kind. I highly recommend the quality of their services.
AFC Urgent Care In Arlington, MA is extremely well run, accessible, professional, and patient friendly. I have used them several times and have been impressed. The clinical staff listens carefully and is responsive in providing information and answering questions. You can schedule appointments online (waiting times might vary) or, do Walk-in. The front desk staff are helpful and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this Urgent Care facility.
Horrible very unorganized, crazy waiting time even if you have an appointment such a mess
Visiting AFC was a positive experience. I went for COVID testing and was seen promptly, had my vitals checked, and provided a rapid COVID test, flu test and strep throat test. All were negative. And the doctor was very thorough, professional and very kind. I would go again if the need arose.
Really nice doctors, nurses & staff here. I was seen relatively quickly and got my issues addressed in very little time. I was prescribed an antibiotic and unfortunately had to switch antibiotics twice until I found the right one—once due to bad side effects, and once due to the replaced antibiotic interacting with my meds—and the doctor I saw was so easy to reach, and kind and courteous to me each time I talked with her. I had to call back because I wasn’t sure of the exact dosing info, and she was extremely nice and assured me I wasn’t being silly and it was important to know how to take them. (Most doctors I know get annoyed at multiple calls.) I’ve also gotten tetanus shots here before after being bit by an animal and they were equally kind and caring that time! The doctors’ and nurses’ compassion really shines through.
I’m so thankful for this place! Visiting them is so much easier than going to our own doctors and the staff is always so kind and accommodating. I especially appreciate the follow up calls the next day, checking in on the patient, plus my kids are happy with the free snacks and water. Recently, Sonia made her check in call with us after we had to make a visit to the office, and she genuinely was happy to hear my son was feeling better! Our own doctors don’t do that, so this added service is very much appreciated!I’d highly recommend their services.
I was pleased with the services. The staffs were very friendly and receptive. I deeply appreciate your services and thanks to AMANDA who helped make things easy for me when there was a little challenge. Thanks you
I visited this urgent care last week mearly the end of the working hour but the staff were welcoming and especially the provider(Daniella) was energetic and cheerfull. The place is also clean and calm which is convenient for patients peace of mind.
Great experience. Easy to make an appointment online and get seen right away. Prompt friendly service. Very please with my experience!
Everytime Ive come in the staff are lovely and do their best to get you in and out with great care each time. All of them seem to genuinely care about you and your needs. There is a bit of a wait sometimes, but its urgent care so I personally dont expect it to be a one and done thing, and neither should anyone else. They do their best to get to everyone as quickly and efficienctly as possible and thats all that matters! Thank you guys for everything you do.
I arrived at this location after being transferred from the location at Watertown due to a high influx of patients there. The staff here were very accommodating to this change and process. The staff was able to walk me through verifying my registration and making sure that I was ready to be seen for my test. The staff at the front desk made sure to multitask with the multitude of people present in front of her but still respond to all my questions about what test would be appropriate for travel purposes. She was calm and collected in her demeanor.I would definitely recommend coming here to do your tests if you need to especially on a weekend l, if you’re traveling on a Monday.Be sure to complete all the registration process online so as not to have to redo this upon arrival as it will only set you back in time.
The Nurse Practitioner I saw was excellent. She answered all my questions without rushing me and gave me helpful information. The assistant that checked me in and took the vitals was also great.
We came here for our immigration medical exam. Amanda helped us and reviewed our documents to make the whole process quick and smooth. I definitely recommend to everyone who needs the service!
Its important to register on-line before going. Once I arrived, the staff was friendly & very efficient. My visit lasted about an hour in total & they were able to diagnose the problem and send over a prescription to my pharmacy. Thank goodness we have this resource, as I became ill on a Sunday!
I was helped quickly and they have some great staff !The person that helped me (Rose I believe) had to deal with a guy walking in for a test yelling and so beyond rude to her , he was a jackass. She remained professional and respectful which is hard when someone is being belligerent. She was so helpful to me and very kind. Their other staff also were also helpful and quick to the point.
I’m finding that individual primary care physicians are unable to see their patients more and more each day. I’m grateful that I am able to get in to have attention from a physician at Urgent care. I have been to the Watertown urgent Care facility as well as this Arlington clinic. I have to say I feel the Arlington office is knowledgeable, caring and efficient. I have been to this office several times and so have my kids and has always been a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this Clinic.
I am so happy to have this AFC in my backyard. I visited for the first time today, and everybody there was so friendly and professional. And the physician I saw answered all my many questions with great detail and care.
They got me right into a room, stitched my hamd up. 10 days later got there again right into a room and had stitches taken out.
Came to this facility on the weekend suffering chest chest pain and heart palpitations. After 2.5 hour wait their staff and practitioners could not get their EKG machine to work. Their response?: Call your pcp on Monday. Unbelievable and unprofessional facility. PA siad machine worked previous week. They should be ashamed to not have the most basic tech working and providing no care to some one who could have been having a heart issue. Appalling behavior and unprofessionalism.
Last week my daughter needed urgent care. We went through the whole registration process and got an appointment confirmation for 5:04 pm. When we got there, the sign said “open” but all lights were off. A very kind staff member came outside and told us they were closed and could not see us even though we had a confirmed appointment. Don’t believe the website, and don’t waste your time getting an appointment unless you call and confirm that they are actually open!
I’ve had two great experiences at AFC. The office administrator is kind, friendly and efficient. The medical staff has been knowledgeable and professional. Like with any urgent care, there is a little bit of a wait but if you check in early enough, it’s not bad. Whenever I need a visit in a pinch, I go to them and they’ve been reliable.
When there for immigration medical exam, Amanda and Mary at the front reception who taking care of me with patient. they give me a list of things that I need to get it done which is so hopeful. It was a great experience going there.
Had only a short wait for a very minor issue. After being seen, treated, and having My questions answered, they followed up with me via text and phone call to make sure my symptoms had alleviated a couple of days later. The customer service was as good as the medical care. Highly recommend for small issues.
I never leave a review but I had to write something after my visit at AFC Urgent Care in Arlington. I sincerely wish I could give this place more than five stars. The staff and especially the manager Roseancy treated us with exceptional care. She professionally listened to our needs and tried everything in her power to deliver. We are so grateful for everything she has done during our visit. We would definitely recommend anyone to come here.
The staff at AFC Urgent Care in Arlington is wonderful. The practice is well managed. The staff welcomed us warmly and swiftly took care of my elderly mother graciously as their last patient on a Friday night. They were caring, and thorough. They got us in and out swiftly after testing and seeing a physician and we were able to get a prescription filled down the street. It worked out perfectly. We will go to AFC when the need arises.
I had a terrific experience. The front desk personnel were very kind, smiling and efficient. I am impressed with the staff. I have gone to AFC Urgent Care in Arlington for COVID tests to enter Japan several times and they are always professional, polite and hospitable.I highly recommend AFC Urgent Car in Arlington.
Dr. Fine was very sweet and helpful with my toddler : )
I noticed how many of the people that walk through the door needing help had no idea how to manage digital registration. Some did not even have smart phones. This put you’re very nice and skilled front counter staff in a difficult position With no easy or compassionate solution. In the time it took to get these people through the process they could’ve done it directly into the system. The people waiting to be seen we’re completely flummoxed. Consider offering an alternative for registration.
The woman at the desk yesterday October 6 was amazing. I spent four hours at a different clinic the day before to get a drug screen I was in and out yesterday in an hour and a half for a physical a blood draw and a vaccine. The doctor in the back and the nurse who gave my injections and drew my blood were amazing as well. I had an awesome experience, well done!
We live in Arlington and in health emergency situations Afc Urgent Care is our place to go. Last Friday we rushed there with our daughter (8 y.o). She had some pain in stomach area. I expected we would have to wait in line for couple of hours, because of the experience that we had in the past (2 years ago I cut my hand and needed some stitches. But I had to wait (in blood and pain), while my husband tried to fill in a registration form from his phone and then waited for our window). But this time it was very different. The front desk lady, Roseancy, beingamid of many patients, helped us to get to see a doctor as soon as it possible. And the doctor was just brilliant with my daughter. And moreover, we got a call from the office, checking how she was next day. AFC Urgent Care please, keep working like that!
Veronica was extremely patient with my dad and took extra steps to call my dads on call doctor to confirm the treatment plan. Highly recommend.
I had great support from Rose and Ryan who helped with my complicated immigration documents. Due to the nature of the requirements, several visits are needed for the family. Some staff members are more experienced with immigration documents, but those with less experience may need time to figure things out for you, so it’s best to be patient, or call in advance to check if Rose or Ryan are around during your intended appointment time.
I was seen within an hour, on site xray with great technician Ryan and instant reading by the wonderful onsite nurse practitioner Annie. The front desk staff were super. I recommend AFC. It was fast, efficient, kind, and low stress.
Absolutely the worse experience ever!!! Once we reached there, the receptionist pointed out, extremely rudely, that they will not honor insurance payment and it has to be out of pocket only. Because, apparently, the provider has to leave by 5pm. My appointment was at 5:24 pm and we reached at 4:30pm just because someone had already called me this morning requesting us to reach a little earlier and I had promised between 4:30 and 4:45pm. When I told the receptionist that she cannot decline insurance payment as I had already booked on the web and selected the insurance option and uploaded my insurance information, she started yelling at me. When I asked her to not speak to me in that tone, she insulted me and threatened not to allow my daughter get tested and also threatened to call the cops on me! I then pointed out the phone call in the morning, again, and she said that she was doing me a favor by letting my daughter get tested. Finally, the test happened. The provider was extremely nice and apologized for the behavior of the receptionist. They also turned away other patients while I was there and got into a serious argument with another gentleman. I am trying to contact the supervisor Rose to lodge an official complain. Please call me back to discuss if you care. Thank you!UPDATE: Supervisor Rose called me! She was extremely reasonable and sweet. Very apologetic for what happened. A good employee offsets the bad ones. AFC Urgent Care, Arlington, is lucky to have her. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3. Just because of people like Rose!
Went in early morning on a holiday weekend and they were very busy.. but they took me very promptly the trick is to register online before you get there!! front Desk receptionist was Very organized/got in to see the doctor in a timely fashion… was happy with the care/bedside manner of the practitioner hats off to a job well done!
This place is the worst place possible for immigration medical exam. The process took very long - I had to come in 3-4 times and each time the wait time was very long. The longest wait was 6 hours. The worst part is that their immigration surgeon made many mistakes with my form that I had to keep going back to them to fix. After going through all of these issues, my immigration form was again rejected by USCIS, due to deficiencies in the form.
Nathan and Florence at the Arlington Family Care Urgent Clinic we incredibly helpful in getting my family Rapid Covid testing completed and documented quickly. The requirements for our travel were ambiguous and needed to be met under a very tight window. They were extremely responsive to our requests and did what we needed to complete the exercise in time for our trip. We are very grateful for their assistance and their patience
I was pleasantly surprised not to find the waiting room full when I arrived on Sat. morning. The receptionist was friendly and helpful as was the doctor I saw.My exam was efficiently done, a prescription called in, and I picked it up 1/2 hour later.Im feeling much, much better.I will recommend the clinic to anyone who needs quick medical assistance and Ill be back again myself when needed!Thank you for your professional,.caring service.
I have been to this AFC and always had good care. Not this time, and so that is why I am writing a detailed review. My visit to AFC on April 14th was one of the worst experiences in healthcare I have ever had. Not only was I sick, but I spent a total of nearly 2.5 hours at AFC Arlington, MA. I understood the wait, that happens if emergencies arrive during your appointment, but then I was not seen by a doctor, I was seen by a PA. She ordered me a medication that was potentially incompatible with another health issue, so I had to go back the next day to get whoever was on duty that morning (Sat April 15th) to order the correct medication. The person there (no idea if it was the same PA or an MD) never came to ask me what was going on. No one gave me discharge papers on either day, and I have no idea about the results of my test. Now, four days later, I am still sick and I need AFC to share my results with my doctor. But after 2.5 hours again, they have still not sent my information to my primary care. Its the worse health care I have received. AFC has kind front desk people but the care and follow-through was horrible.
Easy to get an appointment on line. They were friendly and welcoming when I arrived. Office and waiting area was neat and clean. I was in and out in minutes! By the time I was leaving the office my prescription was already called in. Very efficient! I would definitely go back.
My husband and I got rapid COVID tests here this morning and everyone was super helpful and friendly. The test was done quickly and the practitioner was very nice. We then called later to get our results and Nathan was very nice and extremely helpful in giving them to us over the phone. Thank you all!
We went there for rapid COVID testing for a flight and we’re very satisfied. The wait time was about 1/2 an hour since we preregistered. The people out front were awesome, especially Nathan, who has a great attitude about his job and towards customers.
Came here for a rapid COVID test. Relatively easy to schedule an appointment, and staff was friendly.Would be nice if results could be sent electronically or available some other way than going back to pick up in person. Also challenging to get through by phone and took multiple calls to get a person on the line to get results. There was quite a wait just to pick up results but Roseancy was incredibly professional and calm despite increasing volume of people, and being the only person checking people in. She made the difference between 3 and 4 stars.
The receptionist Brenda was great, professional, and quite proficient. The nurses were wonderful also. The facility is understaffed. But quite understandable during theses times. Three hour total for pcr travel test. Much better than waitingDays for test results.
The staff is so nice. I had to have my kids tested and they made it so fast and easy. I will definitely be coming back to AFC if I ever need an urgent care again. My first time in an urgent care where the staff was so nice, even though they were busy.
I came to office to draw blood, I’m a patient with very faint veins so it takes a lot of patience and experience to draw blood from me. Rose and Ryan were superb! They were very patient, very informant and kept trying different methods until it was a success. I would definitely recommend this office for your urgent needs. The facility is very clean and quiet, the staff is super friendly they kept me laughing the whole time, so I was very much at ease. I will definitely recommend.
On my opinion I think this urgent care is the best. The staff are super nice. They’re very professional and, the place is nice and clean. Also The staff greet people in a most professional manner. The manager has an awsome personality she took her time to explain everything correctly. The whole staff were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Sam took his time to tell me that it won’t hurt cause I was very scared at first. I highly recommend this place to anyone you feel welcome from the minute you step in.You got a great manager that isVery nice.and very helpful staff That’s ready to helpAt a beautiful place like thisThere’s nothing more you need.
Their work was fascinating. The civil surgeon and his nurse did great job! They helped us to process everything on time and smoothly. I appreciate their efforts!
Pre-registered online. However, I still wait more than one hour. Clearly, I get UTI. The doctor asked me to collect the sample for urinary test. It takes more than three days. During the testing, I did not have any usefully antibiotic medication. God, a simple urinary sample test takes three days… har to believe. I was in Iowa state, and the same sample test takes just 5hours. I was getting the medication for UTI at the same day. What a slow for this urgent care…Similar case for my wife in this ER. It takes 7 days for her drop sample. When she gets the results, her issue is already gone…
Came here for medical examination for immigration purposes and I have to say I got the worst customer service I could ever get. They drew my blood 2 more times than they were supposed to, they were double more expensive than the other place I eventually went with, and had no appointments with the doctor because apparently one doctor was on a really long vacation and the other one was on a leave due to covid. Kept making excuses and would just not give me a date after calling them multiple times! I ended up going in another clinic which accepted my test results from here and were very quick but I should avoided them from the start if I knew!
I was at AFC Arlington for a COVID test for my daughter. It was Saturday, 9/18, at 8:00 am. I had an 8:14 appointment. The two women working the front desk were AMAZING.The place was chaos - the system was down, the waiting room was filling up, lots of people were asking questions, and the two women were incredibly calm, patient, and helpful under pressure. It took over an hour for us to get the test, Im assuming the delays were because of the system being down and it took awhile to get back up. So I had an hour to observe how the women handled the situation and they were truly awe-inspiring.I would have lost my cool in the chaos, but they just stayed collected and soldiered on. I am sorry I didnt get their names, but please look up who was working that morning and give them praise and a raise - they deserve it!
I’ve been to this urgent care several times in the last year. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. They listen, care, and execute all in an efficient manner. Can’t describe how grateful I am for this staff. Huge shout out to Ryan, who made things happen very few would even attempt to. Thank you to the entire AFC Urgent Care Arlington team.
Rose at the front is fantastic, helpful, and knowledgeable even while juggling phones, paperwork, and payments. The doctors and nurses are proactive, had orders ready at the drop of a hat, and were dynamic and fast with changes that came up during thorough patient history.
I went to urgent care in Arlington MA. The woman at the front desk is rude and not helpful at all. This is the second time I have had to deal with her. The registration process is ridiculous for older people. I was there with my 85 year old father because he was wheezing and we ended up leaving that is how bad the place is run.It really is ashame at one time years ago this was the best place to got to but not any more.I wouldnt give it any stars!!!!
I used AFC for my Immigration Medical Exam. From the beginning, all the staff were helpful and kind! My appointment with the Civil Surgeon was at the Arlington location - it was spacious, clean, and welcoming. My visit went smoothly. Shout out to Roseancy, who answered many questions and helped me so much with this!
All staff and healthcare providers are amazing people. They are caring, informative and so kind. You can’t imagine how this helps people suffering from pain or unexpected health issues in the urgent care !
Had an appointment for 1pm on a Tuesday, for a Covid test, and had to wait over two hours in my car because it’s actually “first come first serve”. The front-desk person was very nice and had to put up with some rude customers, but he wouldn’t provide any information for how long a wait would be and where in line I was. Very very disappointing given that I had an appointment.update: The doctor was very nice, as were the rest of the employees. However, I never received an email to view my testing results online, and I you cant get ahold of AFC on the phone or leave a voicemail, as the mailbox is full. What a mess.
The team is very friendly and supportive, explaining everything, Taking a very good care of you.My experience was amazing, fast and easyHighly recommended
Rose and Tony were very kind and knowledgeable.
Our experience was great. The staff were very helpful. We loved the nurse and the Dr! We made an appt online and only had to wait about 30 min. Overall an excellent experience!
I want to give my sincere thanks to Roseancy. Despite the busy full clinic, she took the time and care to listen to us and tried her utmost best to provide us with her guidance. I saw that she did this for every patients in the clinic who wished to talk to her. She stayed with us until the end, making sure we were helped. I feel very grateful that we received her help today🙏
I cant recommend this care center highly enough! I dropped by on 5/19 around 12 PM and the front desk receptionist truly went far above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to adhere to COVID-19 protocols while traveling internationally. Excellent, caring service in a clean environment and convenient location; very glad to have it nearby.
Ive had very nice experiences here. Wait times have been very reasonable, staff is friendly and efficient, follow up is good, and the physicians knowledgeable and very attentive. I have been very pleased with the services here.
I went in this morning with a blocked ear, registered online which was very easy. When I went in and everybody was very nice, I knew I may have had to wait a little bit. The lovely nurse kept coming out into the waiting room to see if anyone need a water while we were waiting. When I was taking in I saw Dr. Sharuka. He saw that my ear was blocked. He sent the medical assistant Nathan in to put a solution in my ear and flush out my ear. I was right I had a piece of Q-tip lodged in my ear, which they managed to flush out. The whole staff was very nice, cleared out the problem literally. I would absolutely go back, hopefully I wont need to. Ty Team.
Went in to get my ears checked. Their system for whos next is a bunch of stripes of torn paper they place on the counter. They have no idea how long the wait is, even though its hours. I just left, but one woman had been waiting for 3 hours. My suggestion would be to upgrade your queue system, most providers have a wait timer. The wait line was over 10 people deep.Good luck. Im sure the staff is lovely.
From the sign in at the front desk to the exam with the doctor, everyone was so very courteous, helpful & professional. I had to fill out the registration for my husband (he was too sick to deal with it)& they make it so easy- I did it online on my phone in 5 minutes. Although there were quite a few people waiting to be seen, the staff definitely have their system down pat- the receptionist kept everything smooth & conducted with a smile & a friendly attitude - & we were called in even before I finished the registration forms! The tech that took his bp/O2 levels/temp was very good- I felt kinda bad that she was wearing basically a hazmat suit- I get it, Covid is no joke & everyone needs to be safe- & it really speaks to the sanitation/ cleanliness levels of the clinic. The doctor was very thorough, understanding & clear. She was also kind- something I tend to see less & less of in the medical business, sadly. But although I didn’t have a negative opinion of walk-in clinics beforehand, I feel that this experience made me feel more positive about them than actually going to my primary care at a big, well known hospital. The whole event was easier, more pleasant & QUICKER than any doctor appointment I’ve had otherwise. I highly recommend utilizing their services- it’s comforting to know that if I ever need them, I really won’t mind going to them. I mean, it is a medical appointment after all- I doubt anyone looks forward to them- but at least I won’t be worried & uncomfortable about it in the future.EDIT: 5/30/22Hi- so this review will mark my third time visiting AFC Urgent Care in Arlington- the second time was to bring my husband in to treat a nasty sinus infection, and although I didn’t post a review that last time, the visit went as I expected- very well.Unfortunately this time it was I who had to be treated. My knee gave out on me as I was going down my stairs (on the way to work) and it was PAINFUL. I had been just dealing with some swelling and soreness for about a week and I thought it was feeling better, but oh no. So this time my husband took me there (I couldn’t drive with my bum knee yesterday).I preregistered online so when I got there I really didn’t have all that much to do as far as paperwork and such. They were courteous and friendly- as they always are with me- and the doctor gave my situation complete attention, as did the radiologist when doing my X-rays. With most knee injuries an appointment with an orthopedic doctor is usually the next step, which I will have, but I feel that everything that this doctor could have done, he did.It took a little while to be seen by the radiologist for X-rays but that wasn’t an issue (nor a fault)- there were three other patients ahead of me having X-rays. So we went to have a little dinner down the street at Nick’s Roast Beef- I had to mention that because it’s so good- then when we came back I was seen a few minutes later. Then I had a follow up discussion with the doctor about the images, what my game plan was and then having a knee brace fitted. Yes, the whole event took a couple hours, but I don’t understand why anyone would want to have something as important as this- your health- be rushed. Whenever there is a wait, I know they are taking care of others at that moment. However, I did make a reservation (during online registration) for 5:15 and I believe I was seen at 5:20-5:25. So preregistration online is definitely encouraged, that way you are more likely to get seen in a timely manner. To sum it up, I’m so glad they are here- obviously because I’ve been there three times in these past few months and I feel I can count on them. I still can’t understand some of the abysmal reviews they get- the first time I went, obviously my experience was really good, but I still thought that maybe it was just a fluke. Albeit a GOOD fluke. But now with three visits, I think I can say with some certainty that they are a solid operation with a wonder team of professionals who actually might just care about your well being…Another visit 10/11- still 5 stars!
All of the staff including the woman at the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor were extremely warm and helpful and treated me like a person with feelings, not just another sick number on their list, which is how I have been treated at other urgent care facilities. I was made very comfortable while I waited and felt confident in the diagnosis. The facility itself was very clean and comfortable, and I did not have to wait long at all.I will definitely be back for all of my urgent care needs.
I needed a PCR test in an emergency and the Urgent Care in Arlington, MA was incredible. They did it in an hour and were so friendly even though they were very busy. Rose was a godsend. She is the epitome of a great employee. I would highly recommend this branch for any medical treatment. Thank you.
Quick and easy! The staff was very nice and professional. The doctor was excellent, she was great with patients. I brought my son and she dealt with children really well. We’ll for sure be back if we need urgent care again.
I waited an extremely long time (over 2.5 hours) despite registering before and the clinic not being very busy. But the most concerning piece was that I was told to take a dangerously high amount of medicine. Luckily, the pharmacist caught it. However, he couldn’t prescribe the medication until he got a correction from the urgent care and they never responded to him. Had I not been able to get the prescription through my PCP later, I would have either had to go back to urgent care and wait again or go without medicine I very much needed.
Front desk staff are incredibly helpful, compassionate and patient despite being continuously busy. Nathan and Anna are stars who were able to provide different options for our dire circumstances. The lab technician (who’s name I forget) was also very sweet and gentle. If you ever need urgent COVID-19 screening or urgent health concerns, I’d highly recommend this clinic.
I was seen by Dr. Fine and the Nurse Director Rosancy of the clinic and both were very attentive kind and patient when I came in for a check up. Despite the fact they were a little swamped perhaps because of the holiday weekend, they made sure that my needs were met and the doctor explained everything sfter running the tests. I had a great experience.
Roseancy was absolutely great to work with. She went above and beyond to get all our required documents and medical results in time. She even stayed up late and worked on our application and kept in touch with us throughout the process. She is very proficient and understands the process and medical requirements quite well. She made sure there was no delay in our 693 documentation and ensured we got things done on time. She is quite friendly and patient and answered all our questions. She came early to work just so we didn’t have any delays and worked out all the schedules with the doctor. Would highly recommend Roseancy and AFC Arlington any day.
Staff were extremely helpful and polite, even with a busy evening right after Christmas. Physicians Assistant worked with me to determine a course of treatment that I felt I could succeed with, while still putting my medical needs first.
It was ok. There were 3 people total in the waiting room and the wait was pretty long. Was there for about an hour and a half before seeing someone. Felt slow and out of date. Doctor was very nice. Went to a couple different locations and all of the x ray machines were down or no one there to operate.
Very apprieciated! it great ! help my family a lot
Highly recommended! This urgent care facility helped me with a last-minute same-day appointment for a Covid test that I needed results for just ~couple of hours before my flight. All of the doctors and staff were good, especially Sam, who helped me with everything.
It was the best! Rose and Ryan took good care of my little guy and they were very efficient! Then my car wouldn’t start and Ryan jumped my battery. Which is going above and beyond, obviously. By the time that was done, we had our results. Best AFC care providers ever.
Great staff Rose is a true professional she knows show to speak to customers and make everyone feel good during these tough times. Please be patient because they are very busy but at the same time very pleasant. Strongly recommend to use this site for COVID testing.
Not really sure how people have posted 5 star reviews on here. It seems they are good/convenient for COVID testing and that’s it. Seems poorly managed and maybe even understaffed. We came here for my wife’s sore throat. Filled out preregistration online prior to coming. Somehow it didn’t go through and we waited about an hour before they told us to fill it out again. They brought us back and still waited 2+ hours now inside. Maybe the ER copay and the trip would have been better than coming here. TLDR: Probably don’t come here for anything urgent unless you just need testing done.
I spent an hour yesterday on hold and never got through. I am now passing the hour mark on my second day trying to reach them. They need more customer support staff given the important work they do related to Covid testing. Everything about my experience was excellent, even the receptionists were great (once I got through to them), but without giving wait estimates, they burn through hours of your time. If they fixed this problem, I would recommend this place, but I would not recommend it in its current state.
We were turned away at Watertown AFC, so we tried Arlington. Everyone working this Sunday were professional and calm and collected. They were extra nice dealing with a lot of stressed patients (myself included). Ryan at the front desk really set the tone for the waiting space. Courteous and caring and also very knowledgeable and patient. They really saved us today! Many people stopped to thank them on their way out.
I had an incredible experience at AFC Arlington. I needed a rapid PCR test and they were already over capacity. Rose Andy graciously let me get the test done. I couldn’t ask for better service and I highly recommend this clinic. All the other staff were great as well. They worked as a team and I saw their desire to serve their patients.
The entire staff at AFC Arlington was exceptional today when I had to get a Rapid Molecular COVID-19 test. The front check-in positions are so challenging and thankless, and the staff is brave and fantastic dealing with the endless crowds of people jumping up to the desk. Roseancy was just incredible & professional interacting with a few French-speaking patients, and her associate at the desk (Im sorry I forget his name), taking payments, was super-helpful in dealing with me as well as a bunch of other people at the same time. I could never deal with that type of environment or stress, so its a joy to be a patient and have them both taking care of me. Many thanks and happy holidays!
The staff were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and prompt. They saw me at my scheduled time and my appointment was quick and efficient. Thank you!
I went to AFC Arlington for a rapid PCR test. The experience was one of the fastest, smoothest and kindest medical experiences (or for that matter any customer experience) I can remember having. If it was always like this, life at the doctor would be good! Specifically I was seen to by Rose who is world class. She could not have tried harder to make my experience comfortable and speedy. Congrats to the management on hiring someone like her.
Very helpful and efficient staff.Rose at the front desk actually called on a Sunday to make sure I have everything ready in order to meet the deadline for my bloodwork and physical required by USCIS.Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.👍👍👍👍👍AFC Urgent Care Arlington updated review:03/20/24 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Strongly recommend this clinic for all USCIS medical requirements. Excellent service, very efficient staff, very short wait time.TWO thumbs up for Amanda who handles the USCIS docs, she is most helpful and , most importantly, knowledgeable and up to date with any new USCIS requirements.Thank you kindly for all the help. 👍👍
Came here for a covid test and it was crazy. I booked an appointment online and still waited over an hour to be seen. There was a lot of patients and the staff didn’t seem capable of handling them at all. They were even turning down people that came from other AFC urgent cares in the area who didn’t have enough covid tests. I couldn’t even get my result emailed, you have to come back after 2 hours. The most inconvenient experience I’ve ever had. There is a lot more better run urgent care facilities in the Boston area to go to.
After another location gave me wrong in formation I called in frustrated and desperate for for an appointment. Ryan answered the phone and was my savior. He was polite, informative, and so nice. I drove an extra 20 minutes just to be seen at this location because of how nice he was. Rose administered the rapid covid test. She was running to each car to get everyone seen as fast as possible and had a sunny disposition despite how busy she was. Would give more stars if I could.
I got a COVID test for my son. Most of the experience wasnt too bad. We signed up on line. This prompted 2 phone calls from them to set up the appointment, and one to tell us it was time to come in. We drove to the facility and waited in our car for a few minutes when it was time for the test. Id give this part of the experience 5 stars. But then I tried to get my results. Originally I was so frustrated that I gave them 1 star. You need to call them for the results. I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes. At the time of sample collection, they told me the results would be back within 2-3 days but they really mean 3-4 days because they inexplicably dont count the day the sample was collected, and they seem to think this is normal. So they did not have the results. The woman told me that Quest is backed up so I would actually have to wait 4-6 days for the result (ours came 4 days after we got swabbed). I changed the review to 3 stars because they ended up calling me back when they got the results, which makes way more sense than having us call in and wait on hold for 30 minutes for a result that may or may not be ready.
We called AFC Urgent Care in search for a quick PCR Rapid Test and Rose saved the day. She was very courteous and helpful on the phone and once we got there she processed our paperwork very quickly. I would highly recommend this urgent care as the staff is wonderful and very courteous.
Brought my father here I was unbelievably impressed by the staff at AFC! They are so pleasant and professional. Rose was so efficient and wonderful in representing the practice. She deserve a higher raise for all that she does - Tatyana
Waited an hour and a half to be seen for a COVID test in a room overfilled with patients. I had a 9:45 appointment, but I wasnt seen until 11:15. The room was mostly empty when I showed up, but filled up because they were moving patients very slowly. They were also prioritizing patients paying out of pocket instead of with insurance. When the doctor showed up, she was very nice, but the rest of the staff was slow and grumpy.
I had the most outstanding patient visit at the Arlington location. I was in a panic when I got to the airport and realized there were no walkins left, I couldn’t find a test anywhere, but I somehow got a human being to answer the phone at the Arlington location and she was wonderful! She understood the urgency, had me come in, bumped me to the top of the line, got me in and out, really save the day for me and best of all they treated me like a human being instead of an algorithm. They should all get raises but especially Rose, the angel of my day!
I visited today and was very stressed trying to get a rapid test for my 2 children. Roseancy at the front desk went above and beyond to help me. She was incredibly helpful despite clearly being busy. I am very grateful for her help and always appreciate when someone is good at their job!
They determined quickly that I was high risk and told me to go to the nearest emergency room. It turned out to be a good choice.
I wish I could give it zero stars. This place may be good for covid testing, but not for any actual healthcare. Waited in the waiting room for almost an hour (despite making an appointment which as I was told by the receptionist is meaningless) only to see 3 covid test people called in. That means one non covid patient per hour can be seen at most? How does this happen? Then almost another hour in the back waiting room until we were done. I saw several people leave because the front office staff was border line rude to them and they were told there was a 2 hour wait (when leaving about an hour after overhearing that conversation the waiting room was empty). In their defense, when an hour goes by and only 3 covid test patients get called in (for a one minute test) people get frustrated, especially when they have made what they thought were appointments. At one point the line was five people deep just to talk to one of the receptionists, one of whom was said to be untrained when a patient tried to talk to her directly and this person was directed not to ask this receptionist anything (why is there someone at the front desk who cant help any patients?). It was a horrible experience start to finish, as this place has some significant logistical issues in the way this schedule and process patients.
I was extremely happy with this place. Staff/ Nurses very very friendly and helpful. We went twice — one time for immigration related test and 2nd time for my wife’s regular test. For immigration, this is the best place as I got my reports in just 5 days and we were seen same day we called. Prices are the lowest. I called 13 doctor offices and noticed these people were cheapest and fastest. For other than immigration, I had normal visit for my wife. Since we were paying out of insurance, rates were acceptable and less. Diagnosis was detailed. This place is 40 mins far from my place but I still go here for friendly staff and excellent service.
Had a very good experience today at this facility. Went online to look for an appointment for a COVID test and was able to book one for less than 2 hours after. Very quick- in and out in 20 minutes. I felt very safe and the staff were friendly and professional.
Had a great covid testing experience here today. The appointments isn’t the clearest I booked one at 4:45pm but received texts saying to show up whenever during the day (I did self-pay, not insurance, btw). Just arrive outside of lunch hours and you’ll be good. Was fast and easy, doctors/nurses were all friendly and timely.
This place saved my overseas trip, and Darlene is the best!I had to take a last minute flight to France and couldn’t book a covid test anywhere the day before. I took the last chance to walk in this place at 5pm, they were all booked out for the day, Darlene learned my situation and squeeze me in, and the whole team made sure that I got my result by 8pm for my 5:20am flight the night morning! Thanks god! Such a great empathy and excellent customer service, they really care!!!
Preregistered online and got an appointment. Arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment and was informed that they would now be closing at 1pm with still 6 other people ahead of us. So they could not see my sick daughter today. The hours listed online were open until 5pm. There is probably a staffing issue- but this is not acceptable to do to a sick child.
There was no wait at 10:00 am. I was immediately met by a courteous attendant. I was escorted to an exam room and a nurse took vitals without any wait. A provider came promptly and was very helpful.Within 30 minutes I received a call with the results of the rapid test performed.
First my prescription was sent to a wrong pharmacy then the prescription sent to my correct pharmacy was someone elses prescription. I had to call many times and I was also put on hold at least 45mins altogether. Totally ridiculous service and poor system. It needs immediate attention from management as it could kill patients by giving them the wrong meds.
Rose, who I saw for my covid test was great. Friendly and efficient. Yet my wait time was an hour even though I signed up online. I wish the lobby had open windows… there isn’t any ventilation. I also would have preferred to wait outside but that isn’t an option.
I went to get a covid test for international travel. I was so pleased with the service I received. There was a weather advisory; I arrived early, expecting to wait in the rain. The staff were so kind and professional, Roseancy saw me in the rain and let me into the facility. She was so friendly and swiftly took care of my testing.
The management here is a disaster, no one in charge regularly and nothing is scheduled. Not only management but also professionally, they even explicitly let new hand practice blood drawing on you which no doubt result in a terrible vain drawing attempt.
My son wasnt feeling well. He had a sore throat. We were able to walk in and have him get a Covid and Strep test within 30 minutes. Great service and every staff member I have come in contact with has been kind, friendly and helpful.
Front desk person was very rude. My wife and I brought documents from abroad and she didn’t even want look at it. She was disbelief in documents we brought in. Worst part was that their phone system was sending us multiple conflicting schedules dates. Worst part is When I called to let front desk clerk know and She wasn’t happy that I called. I will never recommend anyone… they also forget to collect urine samples. We had to go back. I didn’t have pleasant experience. Don’t recommend it at all.
From the minute I walked into the door I was greeted Right away, even with 3-4 ppl Waiting in front of me,, further more Its very hard to get even a friendly smile, a simple hello from anyone now a days. I had an awesome experience at this location, I was pleasantly happy to have chosen this location, as I did, left with the information I needed, I was treated with all the care from the Staff who saw me, the Doctor Who examined my injuries were amazing.Thank-youP.Ferreira
