AFC Urgent Care Athens TN

The staff was great. Coming I was so sick and weak. I didnt feel like filling out paperwork, so doing it on my phone was easier. When I had an issue, the receptionist was extremely helpful and kind in helping finishing it. The wait was short. The nurses was kind, the only issue was the imaging machine broke down. The Dr. Was great. Excellent bedside manner. Would highly recommend this please if you ever find yourself in need of Urgent care. High praise! ♡

Very pleased with our visit. The nurse practitioner was super friendly and knowledgeable. The X-ray tech was also wonderful. They took great care of my kiddo with a broken wrist. We will definitely go there in the future.

I couldn’t hear out of my Left ear for about a week. My wife said I need to see the doctor. This was my first Time going to this clinic when I walked in they were so friendly and signing in was extremely easy. They took me right in the back. The nurse worked on my ear. The doctor came in and checked, and everybodywas so kind. She flushed out my ear and I feel so much better thanks again. Definitely will be returning when I’m not feeling well so hopefully not so soon.

Yes, I do indeed have a comment about the health care I received yesterday. Dr Becky Newman is an amazing Dr. her bedside manner was off the chain. She explained my condition in the simplest terms. The medical profession is better because she is in it. I highly recommend this facility mainly because of Dr Becky!!!

Caring and professional! Wait time was short and when your sick thats super important. I didnt feel like I was treated any different from anyone else being a self pay vs when I had insurance. Great team of people

Woke up this morning after several days of back pain, to worse pain and decided to seek care. My wait time was between 5 and 10 mins in the waiting room. I was immediately seen to get vitals and details. The doctor was with me in 10-15 mins and was empathetic and polite. He helped me understand how the meds would help and why I was feeling what I was feeling. He gave me a referral and a work note. This was a great experience and I will be back the next time I have needs for the service.

I went in to have a mole removed. I am immune to most numbing agents. The nurse practitioner used all available resources to keep me comfortable!!! She made sure I was in minimal paying and kept the jokes rolling, So my mental health was still good! Great experience.

Went there for cramping stomach pain and nausea. Was very quick service. Amazing care and they listened to what I had going on. The only downside is that the nurse that took my vitals had a bad bedside manner and was rude.

Was greeted and seen by support staff immediately. After a short wait, I was seen, diagnosed and discharged promptly, and professionally. Everyone told me they hoped I got to feeling better and wished me a happy Thanksgiving.

I went in with chest pain due to terrible heartburn. The staff from the front desk all the way to the nurses and physician were incredibly professional, friendly, and informative. I’ve never had a better experience at a walk-in clinic. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

The people there are very friendly. I know they were doing their best. When I went back to the examine room it was over one hour before I saw the doctor. I had started to leave but they encouraged me to stay longer. I have gout in my right foot and I was in a lot of pain. The doctor called me in some prednisone pills. I am taking those and I have changed my diet and trusting that it will get better.

Always open when I’ve needed. Helped getting me in & out. Well staffed. quick & convenient assisted sign in. escorted me to a room . Instant appearance of my caregiver. Then I was treated to the magic of a caregiver who listened t & heard my issues & solved them in minutes. Helped me out & got me on my way. Can’t be beat!!

I cannot say enough about AFC in Athens, they are fast and provide great care! The staff from front to the back are always willing to go the extra mile. This will always be my first choice of Urgent Care!

Schedule appointment for my mom, cough ect.. was very happy with this office and all the care givers.I wish etowah had AFC instead of fast pace, what a big difference in service, black and white. Thank you AFC you guys are awesome.

Staff is always great to work with. I dont feel like Im just a number to hurry out. They always take there time with me. I really appreciate it.

All staff were polite and engaging. The NP listened to me when I said what my body responds best with regarding medication. I took a dose and later began feeling better already amd will continue to take the med as prescribed along with drinking plenty of fluids

It went very smoothly was in and out within 30 mins everyone was very courteous and helpful the NP was thorough and answered any questions l may have had thank you all for the diagnosis and help would highly recommend this place to anyone

My daughter and I woke up feeling really bad today and couldnt get into our normal PCP, so we came to AFC. We have used the AFC in Athens several times now, and every time they have been excellent!! We were literally in and out within 30 minutes and everyone we saw (office staff, nurses, med tech, and Nurse Practitioner) was absolutely wonderful! I definitely recommend the AFC in Athens, TN & the AFC in Fountain City. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been many times with my four children as well as my family. After today Im not so sure Ill be back. Let me first say that dr Newman is amazing, the nurses are excellent but the way dr Pascarella treated me and my son today was uncalled for. We both left in tears and got no help for our concerns.

We had an excellent experience at Urgent Care of Athens. We made an appointment online and filled out paperwork. When we arrived we were taken back within 10 minutes. The nurses and doctor were thorough and efficient. We were in and out within 30 minutes.

Cant say enough good things about AFC Urgent care in Athens. Top notch Doctors, nurses, Front office personnel, every one truly cares about the patients, after every time I went Ive always gotten a follow up phone call to check on my wellbeing. I highly recommend AFC Urgent care

I have an issue with constant congestion and bloody noses. The doctor advised I see an ENT soon but prescribed me steroids and and antibiotic to hold me over until my ENT appointment in January 2025. Doctor Hughes listened very well and had a great bedside manner. I would recommend this provider to others!

If I could give it more stars I would. FastPace in Decatur was always too crowded, disorganized. Even with an appointment you still had to wait a while. So I went to AFC instead. It was my very first time there. I didnt expect them to be this good. Spic and span clean waiting room. Quiet. Flawless front desk and pre-registration. Medical assistant was so sweet and kind. Best of all, the NP explained my condition so clearly... far better than any doctor Ive seen about this issue... and Ive seen many! Exemplary bedside manner. Overall, it was a pleasant, efficient, speedy, and hassle-free experience. Ive been to so many medical offices in this area. They pale in comparison to this urgent care. I wonder if I can transfer my care to them as my PCP? Thank you, AFC Urgent Care!

I’ve been in twice in the past week, once for my son and once for myself, and I can’t say enough great things about the staff. Everyone has been beyond nice, helpful and very attentive. We will continue to comeback. Scheduling, check in and the care is much appreciated.

The dr and staff were all very nice. My granddaughter wasnt feeling well so they tested her for covid,strep and flu. She was negative so they said she had a sinus infection and sent her home with antibiotics.At 1:30 am the next morning she was running a fever of 102.4 and had a rash all over her. We rushed her to childrens hospital to find out she has walking pneumonia! The office and Dr were all wonderful but how they diagnosed pneumonia as a sinus infection is beyond me

Woke up with a bad ear infection. Scheduled an appointment online and was seen within 15 minutes of my scheduled time. I was taken care of quickly and on my way.

Made an online appointment for 1200, I was seen and out of there by 1225. Not only was they fast but they was GREAT. Definitely the best walk in clinic I have been to in this area. Dr.Neumann was fantastic, thank you!

I was very pleased with my visit to AFC. It was my 1st visit. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. To tell you thebtruth Im been going to Fast Pace Urgent Care for a long time. Today I tried to register on line. Itvwouldnt let me. Then I tried to call the office and no luck. Automated system wouldnt get thru. Anyway. If I or my Son need care,we will bibist thecAFC here in Athens Tn. Its great. I was impressed.

Was walking out the door to reschedule due to time restraints with other plans !! Made it two steps out into the lobby when the manager Heather asked me to return to the room and they would be right with me! While the diagnosis wasnt pleasant the service was great!!

The doctor was very great at her job. I would not hesitate to go back there at any point in time. The whole staff was great as well.

I hate going to the dr unless absolutely necessary and I absolutely had to go yesterday, with a painful ear infection. I did the paperwork ahead of time on my phone so that saved time when I got there. They were all so nice and friendly. I only waited afew mins before being called back. Didnt have to wait very long either. The dr I met was great and very professional. Overall, I was in and out very fast. He electronically sent my prescriptions too so they were ready by the time I got there. I definitely will be coming back to this place next time I get sick enough and need to. Very well worth it!

Me and my daughter came in yesterday sick with what was determined as viral. The reason I wanted to share this review is because I was one exhausted and sick mom when I came in, the doctor and nurses were SOO good to me and my girl. Ive never met a group of women that were so kind and caring. They were reassuring and there was no judgement what so ever. Ill always remember how I was treated and talked too. Ill always remember that act of kindness when I really needed it. Thank you.

I woke up and noticed I had what I thought was a stye in my eye. I was correct. The staff was great, the doctor, Adam was his first name, I believe, cant remember his last name, but he was phenominal, and had an awesome bedside manner. He was great the night before as well, with my daughter who was sick. We will go there for care again.

I was treated with respect and welcomed at the door. I was there for my DOT physical, and it was an amazing experience! The Doctor treated me like a patient and not a number. He shook my hand and looked me in the eye with a welcoming smile .TY Doc:) The staff was great, ladies at the front desk ty. Opps almost forgot the young lady who got my weight down ty. The place was spotless and I was in and out( Nascar for humans) Ty Urgent care it means alot to be seen by ppl who care....gonna patent that last part lol.

The staff and doctor went above and beyond to check on my son to see why he was sick. Super friendly and clean facilities. Only downside is they couldn’t look up my insurance.

My son had been nauseous and vomiting. Went to AFC and the staff was phenomenal especially the NP Anne shes absolutely amazing will definitely be back.

The nurse practitioner was saw today was very nice! It was our first time seeing her and we were very pleased!! She was great.

Dr was very nice and listened,however had go back next day and wasnt any better and was told dr call me later. Waiting on call. Update. Dr never called I even called back due to.feeling horrible was told Dr was looking and would call back in a few minutes. Well tht was 2 hrs ago and they are now closed. There wasnt one car in parking lot for a minute. Ive always liked this place but I was let down today. As Ill have go er I guess.

Extremely overcharged us on a boot for a foot injury with no heads up for us to be able to make an informed decision. Charged $325 for what we could have paid less than $50 elsewhere. That feels fraudulent.

I needed to have some tests done. The receptionist, nurse, and physicians assistance were friendly and helpful. This clinic is my preferred place to go when an nexpected illness occur. I have and will continue to recommend this provider.

I went in with a swollen bruised ankle after a bad fall. Everyone was friendly and professional while getting a x-ray that showed a bad break. The Dr and nurse explained everything they did and why.I would go back and definitely recommend them.

Thankful for AFC that they are available even after Holidays.The staff are great, Shannon And Pam the nurse and Becky Newman did an excellent job assessing my elderly mothers concern and resolved all our  concern and treated her effectively and provided with a good plan of care. And follow up after 3 days how she was doing. I am thankful for AFC in our area. They are excellent provider.

I have had nightmare charges from Fast Pace and refuse to go there. I passed two of them to get to AFC Athens. This place was awesome, only thing better than the facility were the team members! It was on Memorial Day and no one was in a bad mood for working the holiday. Actually it was drastically the opposite. From reception, nurse, to the doctor, they were so concerned about my health and pain. They were kind and considerate on a personal level! I’m two days removed and doing great from my lower back pain. I am grateful to have met this great team!

I cannot say enough good things about the weekend services. I was sick and cannot afford to miss work or go the ER. I was totally blown away that I was in and out in less than an hour and my out of pocket was less than a tank of gas.

Everyone that works here are soo polite and nice. Very professional staff. We were in and out, even with an X-ray. The Dr, explained everything very well.

Definitely was not the experience I had when I went previously with my son. The nurse made no effort to pronounce my name correctly. They attempted to put the BP cuff on my arm with a fistula and the physician sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy even though she repeated the location after I gave it to her. And it took more than an hour before I was seen. I will not be going to afc urgent care ever again

Ive always gone here. And I really like this clinic and everyone here. But now this clinic is not taking any other insurance except their own. I have BCBS for goodness sake, which is literally taken everywhere! Now I will no longer be able to go here due to bureaucracy. Flippin ridiculous!!

My medical situation had me scared to be quite honest the staff showed me so much love and support not to mention they went to work right away. I won’t be back. Telling someone a medicine they actually need and is SAFE for a pregnant patient, “i won’t prescribe because it’s not safe, it will hurt the baby” is uncalled for and rude. I’ve had this medicine prescribed SEVERAL TIMES while PREGNANT and it’s 100% safe. and don’t be rude when someone says they don’t want tested for covid especially after they elaborate that they haven’t been exposed and get tested regularly.I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO SEE DR. MCCROSKEY or however you spell it!ALWAYS. CHOOSE. FASTPACE.

The NP Charles was so nice and helpful. I will definitely come back to see him as needed.

The doctor thought my lungs were clear. She was great. Then radiology called and said I have pneumonia. Im thankful for afc double checking. It has never been a bad visit.

The staff/Doctor were really nice ,but I felt like a was at deaths door I had been exposed to covid they did test was negative 2 hrs wait nothing done for my condition, next day self tested was screaming positive.

Best urgent care EVER. Nice staff fast service and very thorough care for my mom who was here from Texas for a wedding. They listened to her and how she felt diagnosed her and 4 prescriptions later got her to feeling better all in about 1 hour. This was our first time going here and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this walk in facility.

The visit was efficient, fast, and effective. I have never received a shot in the hip that was so quick and painless and I am very needle wary. Christina did an amazing job in that regard. I was in and out in 20 mins and headed to church on time with much needed relief of my pain. The provider was effective and kind as well.

Had severe leg pain in the middle of the night. Schedule for this morning literally at midnight. In and out in no time with a copy of my X-rays for my pcp, great advice and ready to pick up my med. Everyone was helpful and friendly

We tried AFC for the first time the other day and it was a great experience. The wait wasn’t bad at all and everyone was super nice! Definitely will be going to AFC from now on!

Was seen by a nurse practitioner and was seen very quickly very little wait time.

Vicki at reception was an absolute angel, so understanding and patient. The nurse who checked me in was kind and all smiles. And the NP who saw me was right to the point and took care of me in no time. In and out in about half an hour max.

I chose this urgent care, because they accepted my insurance and convenience! Im so glad I did! First of all I didnt even get there until 7:45 which was 15 minutes before they closed! I almost didnt stop because it looked closed but I have had poison oak for a few days and it was spreading faster I went onto the door and went in. I was greeted by one of the nicest, friendliest most kind lady! She said yes you still have time to be seen we dont close for 10 more minutes! So I gave her my insurance card and idea answered a couple of questions on a paper, didnt have to write a notebook like most places! Then was called back right away by a very sweet and friendly nurse! She wasnt rushed like it was closing time, she welcomed me with care! Then in less than 5 minutes a nurse practioner came in and took her time was very professional and patient, she decided what we should do, then the nurse before came back in gave me a steroid shot then the nurse practioner came back and told me she had already sent my antibiotic creme and some medicine over to the pharmacy! This was the best care Id ever received at a walk in clinic ever! If I knew their names I would mention them, because they deserve to be recognized! Ive been to AFC urgent care twice now and both visits were wonderful. Staff are friendly and polite, and the nurse practitioner (Jacqueline) is beyond amazing. She goes above and beyond to fix what ails you and makes the entire experience great! Shes knowledgeable and relatable in a way that makes you feel comfortable right away, I highly recommend her to anyone that needs care. Its a little over a 30 minute drive one way for me and its more than worth the trip if I need to be seen. Wait times are reasonable as well and their mobile app is very user friendly. Ive had the best experiences with them and have received wonderful care both visits. I cant thank them enough for how kind and helpful they have been.

Quick service, friendly staff, high tech equipment. I was there for about an hour total, the NP I saw was very knowledgeable and friendly, gave me options about how I wanted to be treated, and gave me information on how to follow up if I needed further care. I was very satisfied and would return if the need arose.

I went in today.after I got checked in,it wasnt 5 minutes till I went to room three. It was 10-15 minutes PA came in. Got my diagnosis and I was out. In and out with prescription no more than an hour. They even found a possible future issue I will need to have checked up. I will definitely return here and I do recommend them. Nice friendly people who listen and respect your wishes.

The staff is always super friendly and prompt at taking care of everyone. This time, Christina was the one who took my vitals, and she was so sweet. She was so attentive, and even brought me water for my sore throat. The provider, Mandy, came in and explained everything so well. Urgent cares typically feel like they are rushing you in and out, but not here. I felt so comfortable and well taken care of!

It was a good visit. Some of the questions on the paperwork were repetitive. You would answer 1 question and the very next question was the same question but different wording. I felt like that was a waste. Otherwise it was a good experience the staff was very friendly and I was in and out quickly. They were having some trouble with the computer system but that wasnt there fault.

Woke up with a horrible ear ache. Scheduled on line. Came to office. There were 6 patients in front of me. I chose to sit in car and wait. Time went by quickly. Staff was so nice. Christy did an excellent job with my shot. I didnt even know she had given it to me and she said all done. Most pleasant shot I have ever received.

I had a great experience at AFC! I was greeted by 2 very friendly young ladies. The nurse who took me to my room was very friendly, and funny too! Jackie, the Nurse Practitioner was not only very professional and thorough, but also kind and really listened to my concerns. I also had a super sweet lady who took a chest x-ray for me. I pray God blesses each of them for their sweet spirit! ❤️❤️

Quick, curious, listened to my concerns, treated me like a person instead of a number.

Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Doctor was caring and concerned. Nurse that took my vitals was a little abrasive and acted like shed rather be doing something besides bother with me. Online check-in feature is nice. Place is clean. Overall good experience.

I visited AFC in Athens, TN today as I had been feeling under the weather this week and wanted to make sure what I was doing at home to medicate was appropriate. I think most can relate to wanting to feel better quickly! I was welcomed by a friendly and helpful front office staff member. I was seen by a nurse within 15 min of arriving and a NP/MD within 20/25 min. I was grateful it was nothing serious and the care the entire staff provided was very kind and compassionate. I would recommend this AFC practice. Thank You! 💙

I can’t say enough good things about AFC! The staff is professional, knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. I have been there several times and have had nothing but good experiences! They even called two days after my visit to check on me! I would HIGHLY recommend them!!!

I brought my grandson in because of high fever. They took amazing care of him. They listened to what I had to say. The staff is so professional and sweet. This is a old post I forgot to send.July 21st 2024 I went to the clinic because feet had gotten burned in Florida. I have neuropathy. So I didnt notice them until I showered. Marty Pascerlla noticed I had congestion, cough a fever. I hurt from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. She thinks it may be Covid. I also am being tested for my kidneys. I have been to AFC some. Every time I have had the best experience. The girl who checked me in was amazing. She helped me. Because I felt so bad. I couldnt think. The girl that did my vitals and everything. Was so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend AFC.I went into the clinic again today. September 19th, 2024. My right foot is not healing well. Marty Pascerlla suggested a vascular doctor. So thats what I am doing. She made me a referral. Shes amazing. The entire staff is so great. They are helpful, kind, respectful. All around great staff.

NP was very nice and answered all my questions It’s my second time using the clinic and all the people who work there are fantastic. I would be proud of the entire staff and I would recommend the clinic.

Waited almost 2 hours to have my son seen. When the doctor made it in, she was rude. Wouldn’t send a doctor note for my son after testing him and diagnosing him with strep throat for the amount of time he was actually going to be out sick. The note only covered 2 days. Don’t take your sick kids here if you need them to give you an adequate note so you don’t have unexcused absences. Definitely not worth the wait time. Also, they NEVER. Have an X-ray tech and their dermatologist is only there a couple of days. Use the urgent care by the high school for better care and service.

Everything went very well. They were very busy with many patients and only one provider. However, they got me in and out in about 2 and 1/2 hours. Everyone was very professional and helpful. I highly recommend this urgent care.

Went here today for ear pain and another symptom and they had me in within 10 minutes saw a nurse promptly talked to Dr (Miss Jaqueline)?? She was very thorough and helpful she had nurse (Miss Christine)?? Flush my ears out…she was very patient with me as I was acting like a baby because my ears were so sore and in painI had been having this issue for MONTHS and saw my primary care Dr for it several times and they had never once actually looked into my ear and just gave me nose spray!??? Anyhow I’m not here to bash that office… just so glad I finally decided to try somewhere different and this place really saved the dayChunks the size of peas and beans came out of my ears and now I feel SO much better!! I am so grateful to the 3 ladies that helped me and even the nice receptionist up front just made everything so pleasant and easyBoth things I came in for were addressed they completely fixed one issue and sent me in medicines for both issuesI will 100% be coming back here whenever I need a doctorThey were also sensitive to the fact I am currently uninsured and helped look for low cost medicinesThe ear flush was only $25?! I would pay much more than that for the relief I feel right now-Patricia R

I’ve had some issues with insurance updating from one employer to another and they were very accommodating in helping me get what I needed done. They also foster an inviting environment and were attentive to my needs. Would absolutely recommend!

My husband and I came in today because we both have been sick. My symptoms were much better but my husband was getting worse. I cannot believe how slow this visit was. Not only did she tell me 15 minutes that took an hour the excuse was one provider. Then get more. A bare bones staff during peak cold and flu season is a joke and insulting to those of us paying for the service. You wonder why no one chooses you first. This is why.

The initial visit was fine and just what I would expect. I had a negative test result and there was no further follow up needed. The staff took over 30 minutes to give me a paper saying I could go! And this was only after I had to open the door and try and find someone. Sorry that is very poor. What a waste of my time.

The office is so nice and clean! I love that youre able to fill out all of your paperwork electronically, very convenient! I also love that everytime Ive been here its been sooo quick, you wont be sitting and waiting forever. The absolute best part about this place is the staff!! Kayla, Christine, and Dr. Jackie are all so sweet and kind. Dr. Jackie really takes the time to listen to her patients concerns, makes the appointment so comfortable, and is phenomenal with kids! I would HIGHLY recommend!!!

Extremely courteous and helpful at check in. The wait to see the NP was about 30 minutes. The clinic was very busy. The NP was very courteous and to the point on my diagnosis. Everybody was on point and helpful. That is the only Urgent Care that I frequent when needed.The only thing I would mention is with all the Covid going around in Athens, TN, masks should be mandatory at this time.Love the APP, and the ability to schedule on line.Bonnie Hampton

Been a pleasant experience each time I have been there. The staff isreally nice and pleasant to be around, from the office lady, nurse and doctor, all just really nice and will actually take the time to listen and just be human around you!

I brought my nephew in last night at 7pm. The check in process was so easy. The nurse quickly brought us back. She was so patience with my nephew when it came to the swabs. The provider Mandi was amazing with him.

My family has been to this office several times in the past. We have received excellent care from all of their staff. It’s always a pleasure to come to this office.

My toddler is very shy and frightened of doctors and the staff did an amazing job making her feel comfortable and addressing our concerns.

We pre-registered so our wait was around 10 minutes, then we were taken to the exam room where my husbands vitals and a short interview was done...we waited another 10-15 minutes for a nurse practitioner and she diagnosed and gave us a plan of care which was exactly what I thought was needed(I being a retired RN). Everyone was very kind and professional, so we were pleased. The only miscommunication was where the prescriptions were being sent, which was minor because they straightened that out immediately. I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care!

I did not have to wait long to be seen. Personnel were friendly, courteous and professional and I received a follow up call to confirm my X-ray diagnosis early the next morning. Outstanding service and care!
