1st I want to say, I had a good experience with Dr. Dejoung here and Dr. Greene. The nursing staff was polite and seemed to really care.Unfortunately my 1 star review is warranted due to the reception staff and feeling dismissed in my care. Every time I called or had concerns the receptionists were rude. There is only one nice one and unfortunately I don’t remember her name. When I came in for appointments I was appalled at the behavior and attitude from the receptionists. I have been sick throughout this entire pregnancy and with this being my first I have no idea what is normal or what should be concerning. The reception staff were not only abrasive and rude to me but I witnessed this with other patients as well. If you’re choosing to work in a patient oriented environment maybe you should have some human decency and kindness especially to the vulnerable women you see. Having a toxic front staff is unfortunate to the doctors who are kind and caring. It sets a terrible precedent and made me look elsewhere for care. I am so glad I did especially after speaking with multiple people about my concerns who made comments like “well you may be triggered by the next office you go to.” NO. I was not “triggered” I just expect a level of respect any patient would. Disgusting attitudes from middle aged women who should find other careers where they aren’t making people feel less than.Attached are several reviews from other patients specifically naming the garbage reception staff as the reason they left.

I have to say the OB/GYN here at Methodist is not the best! I’ve had trouble coming in wanting to transfer care over here and they took forever to get back to me to tell me that they can’t accept me as a patient (mind you I’m 30 weeks into pregnancy). Every time I’d call to follow up the receptionist are rude, always have an attitude, and wanting to quickly end the call with me when I had more questions to ask. The communication sucked. It feels this place truly doesn’t care about you, I would definitely not recommend this place and was very glad and was accepted as a patient in a heartbeat over at Mercy’s OBGYN. Definitely check out Mercy instead of Methodist!

Everything was ok up until last weeks, first it was hard to make any appointments around any schedule it is horrible! Then last weekly appointments they can’t even get you in on a weekly basis. The care i received when false labor happened was the worst! They sent me to labor and delivery just to send me home with no explanation, honestly a lot of it is they have too many patients and they don’t provide sufficient care. I can’t wait until this is over I’m already in late pregnancy to change to another provider. Also receptionists are not nice, this is supposed to be our happy time and they sure will suck the joy out of this!

I used to be a patient here and my doctor was Mrs. Baumhover. For the amount of years that I was under her care I always left feeling awful, judged, and belittled. Reading the rest of the reviews I too remember the receptionists being rude. I decided to change clinics and was shown how to truly be treated as a patient and have my concerns be valued. After doing so Im in shock of so much negativity and unprofessional experiences I had been put through by this clinic and its staff.

The receptionist on the phone is the WORST I called to make my 1st OB appointment and the lady was so rude and wanted me to schedule like until March! I will be like 20 weeks by then so I was like I think I need something early I had infertility problems in the past but she was NO, no no sorry! I can try to pass a message but I dont guarantee. OMG makes the feeling like the clinic gives 2 bananas about our babies, so so unprofessional this lady, and dont make me start if you want an specific provider because than wont happen ever I guess. Terrible terrible customer service!

Doctors are fine, but the receptionists are AWFUL. Every time I call they are rude and not willing to help. If you are transferring records STAY AWAY. The staff makes everything 10x more difficult than it should be and are unwilling to communicate with whomever the records are coming from. When I asked about information being faxed over they told me they hadnt received it and heard nothing from the people doing the faxing, yet when I asked them to check one more time they miraculously found the fax. I truly could go on forever about how rude the staff is.

Ask about their views on C section, inducing labor and nursing moms prior to going there. They are very pro c section, drs only checked on my daughter in about a 24 hour induction attempt and then refused her as a patient when she refused to quit nursing her baby and was pregnant with her 2nd. When they wanted to do a c section, it wasnt explained why and when patient cried, they stormed out of the room. Would not recommend moms to be to go here.

I have been seeing the same female doctor here since I was just beginning to go to regular yearly exams! I am now an adult and I still see this same doctor. She makes you feel comfortable and actually listens to you. The rest of the staff is also very nice and really down to earth! I recommend to anyone!

Tried setting up an appointment to get my wife seen and after being told they would call to set up the appointment and 3 weeks later I called back to see what was going on and then Im told we cant even see the doctor that is listed on their website and cant even get in the location we wanted. What a terrible way to run a hospital.
