I had a 6 month follow-up after radiation ending late spring 2024. Pat at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. Nurse Heather was welcoming and informative and thorough. Dr. Fakhreddine was his usual pleasant, professional self. Scoped my throat and vocal cords and recorded it at my request and went over it as we viewed the recording together. I appreciated that very much.

This was my first follow-up since radiation treatment ended. I spent 20-25 minutes with Stacy discussing how the treatment went and how I currently feel. We also discussed future issues. Stacy was very positive and her conversation was very calming.

Our nurse Beth was very well organized and answered all of our questions and then some. Dr Ashack followed up with more details about my care and arranged a referral with an experienced surgeon. Already scheduled my mapping appointment. We are very pleased with the high level of care we are experiencing.

Top of their class. This facility is full of amazing care takers.I love Julie D she goes above and beyond to care for her patients. She is such a kind compassionate women and is very good at her job!She is lovely.When I see Dr Hokestra she is a caring kind, skilled Dr. always so pleasant. Everyone explains what is going on with your treatment and make sure you are comfortable.Everyone always has a smile on their face and love their jobs.You are treated like familyThanks for taking great care of me.

By far the BEST healthcare I have received in my life. The amount of support from every single employee is heartwarming. From the moment I walk through those doors I am always greeted with genuine kindness. The receptionist at check-in is always helpful. My doctors feel more like friends, and the nurses are so comforting. And the receptionist at checkout keep things accommodating. I am so grateful for the support.

A great caring staff. One of the most efficient medical facility I have been to.Everyone was so helpful, caring and excellent care from the doorman Cameron to the reception people & technicians. The dietician Ashleigh was very helpful & supportive. Dr. Mislmani was excellent in explaining everything. I would highly recommend this facility.

I met with Julie yesterday. She always puts you at ease. She is very knowledgeable and knows just what my symptoms are all about. I am very confident Im in good hands.

I couldnt LOVE Julie more if I tried. :)She listens..she cares..she answers all of my questions in a way that I can understand the answers and she explains all procedures before doing them.I have not had a bad expired with West Michigan Cancer Center since my first visit in 2022.I would give 10 stars if I could. ❤️

My appointment was on time. Amber was helpful with in take info. Paula came in for my exam which went very well. Discussion on procedure and why due to the radiation treatments my exam schedule for the next two years. That info was a good reminder for me. I would recommend anyone to the WMCC offices as they are very informative and compassionate to their patients! Receptionist was very helpful and cheerful!

Our first meeting with Dr. Munene greatly reduced fear and bewilderment about my condition. Confidence and kindness in equal measure emanated from him as he spoke and explained the surgery needed. While hospitalized, every medical professional spoke very highly of him as a person as well as his surgical skills.Now 6 weeks post surgery, I feel so blessed that the fates put him in my corner.

Excellent comprehensive care. Physicians and staff take time to get to know you & answer questions that pop up. I am involved in decision-making in my care & treatment. Everyone from doctors down to housekeeping are very friendly and helpful. The teamwork from all the departments, it’s very impressive and flawless.

Julie is the best!! Its an appointment I always look forward to because its such a positive experience. I have received nothing but the very best care at WMCC ever since my initial diagnosis seven years ago and am so grateful to have access to this amazing facility. Thank you for all you do!

Stacy Ochsenrider, MSN, ANP-C is a compassionate and delightful caregiver to work with. I have seen her at the WMCC for most of my follow-up visits. She is very knowledgeable and has answered all the questions over the years I’ve seen her. I know she genuinely cares about my care. Thankful for the Cancer Center this area is fortunate to have this facility.

I had a great experience with my consult with Dr Brown. He was very professional and caring towards me. I really appreciated is not only his concern for his patients but for the level of detail with the information that was provided to me.

The staff at WMCC are the best. They zapped my cancer cells and they are gone! I believe they are angels sent to postpone death. It wasnt my time and I am so grateful that they had the expertise to care for me.

Dr. Tormoen and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that I understood all facets of my treatment. He shared his plan, and gave me the option for input. He made sure that all my questions were answered. When life seems out of control, you need a Doctor that is honest and considers your perspective. Refreshing!

Dr. Shalowitz and his team took extremely excellent care of me while navigating my cancer diagnosis and throughout my treatment journey. He is data driven but is also very empathetic and truly heard my concerns and offered expert clinical insight. Cancer sucks, but it sucked a little less knowing that Dr. Shalowitz, Julie, Paula and all of the rest of the team were in my corner.

For the last two years, Julie DiGiovanni has been a pleasure to have as PA-C. Very knowledgeable and compassionate. I am blessed to have come back to West Michigan Cancer Center, but I dont like the idea that I get the opportunity to be seen by Ms. DiGiovanni

Dr Brown is very Professional and personable at the same time. He had some big shoes to fill after my other Dr moved on , he has done just that.

I was very pleased with EVERYONE at the WMCC. It was my first visit and I was extremely emotional and nervous! But my nurse Tabitha was amazing and Dr Grant was amazing as well. Everyone was SO kind and friendly EVEN the guy at the door!All my questions (that I thought of at the time) got answered. The fact that the WMCC is linked to MYCHART really made it nice! I was able to send a question that I had forgotten to ask and they replied the same day.NOT happy that I have Cancer and that I NEED treatment but Im pleased that I feel comfortable doing my treatment at the WMCC.

I just had my first visit with Dr Fakhreddine; he and Heather both made my husband and I very comfortable. They were both very good at explaining things and answering our questions. We expected to leave there with uncertainties and confusion about making the right decisions. They did a great job and we left comfortable with the decision we made.

My wife saw dr.lutz yesterday and although nervous and thew up in the lobby we left feeling more educated and more at ease with whats happening. 10 out of 10 recommend her as a doctor.

My mother just became a patient of Dr. Mislmani. My mother and my family are so impressed with his friendly, caring nature and how well he explained radiation therapy to us. Mom is very pleased to be a patient of his. If you have to get cancer, having him as your doctor is a huge bonus.

Great reception, free massage and informative visit with Dr Schalowitz. I came to this center because of the doctor and found him to be very caring and a knowledgeable doctor. All aspects of my recovery has been very good. He listens and backs up his responses with factual information! The staff is caring and really makes you feel comfortable . I highly recommend them!!

Katie was very knowledgeable and nice. She made me feel comfortable by discussing future steps for me to continue my post cancer healthcare at home. Everyone at this location has always been incredible especially during an extremely difficult time.

Dr. Tormoen and his team took the time to know me and my wife during my radiation treatments for recurring skin cancer. West Michigan Cancer Center has great staff and facilities. I would highly recommend them if you need to get treatment for any type of cancer.

Dr. Tormoen and his RN, Tabitha, helped to calm my fears regarding breast cancer treatment. They welcomed my questions and provided answers that I could understand. Dr. Tormoen, although not a self-proclaimed artist (lol), even sketched pictures and described the typical experience that his patients go through with radiation treatment. He also disclosed possible side effects, so there will be no surprises - I appreciate honesty, not sugar-coating information. I left the consultation feeling more comfortable and ready to fight this cancer!

I was treated with dignity and respect. I did not have to wait, my appointment was on time. My provider was a nurse practitioner and well informed about me and my condition. She answered my questions in terms that were easy to understand and welcome. Any questions that my family had.

The staff is kind and caring. All my questions and concerns are addressed with compassion. The office environment is warm and relaxing.

Dr. Munene is absolutely awesome. He did my Whipple surgery. His follow-up was so good. He has wonderful bedside manners.

I am a happy camper when I know West Michigan Cancer Center is taking excellent care of me from start to finish during my Ovarian Cancer journey.

The staff is always so welcoming and nice. I received top care when I was there for my treatment and all my aftercare.

Don’t even bother going to see Dr. Shalowitz. This was my worst experience that I have ever had in my life with a doctor. He had no empathy whatsoever and was the most uncaring physician I’ve ever had, not to mention that I have pain now from a minor surgery that is ongoing and he had no idea why. His response was “I don’t know, man”. Unbelievable. If I could give zero stars, I would. This guy needs to go back to medical school not only for training but also for patient care lessons.

My husband and I both were very happy with Dr. Munana with our initial visit. When you don’t think you can possibly process everything coming at you at once, Dr. Munana answered all our questions clearly and when we left we both had a much better picture of our journey.

The experience with Dr. Garth W. Tormoen was excellent. The nurse, Thabata, was very professional and friendly. Dr. Garth W. Tormoen made me feel calm, confident and safe about the radiation treatment that I will receive. The information received was clear and precise. He was very professional, patient and responsible. 5 stars.

Stacy was great! She took her time with me and provided me with so much information! I really appreciate her friendly nature too!

I took my sister in law there. She has mild Dementia and Alzheimers. I feel the kindness from the staff very strongly here...it was amazing . From the security friendly greeting and offered to help direct us to where we were going.. they were very nice.We was able to enjoy drinks and then volunteers brought out snacks. Paula Lockwood PA-C was also very kind and we feel comfortable in her care.My sister in law has a very low tolerance to pain and they are very gentle. We have never had a bad experience there and she leaves feeling like valued paitent. We are thankful for Paula and this practice.

It was well timed and fully informative. All questions answered so that i could understand. I was comfortable and would trust them with my health and well being

Yesterday was my first visit at the W. Michigan Cancer Center. Dr. Hoekstra made me feel so comfortable and clearly she is highly qualified and an exceptional oncologist/surgeon. The facility is beautifully decorated and gives calm and clean feeling. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.

Dr. Mislmani and team were very friendly and comforting at my consultation. They provided great information.

Dr McCahill he is compassionate. He listens, advises and puts his patients first.

I know nobody wants to walk in this building to meet with doctors, but I want people to know that from the first step in, I feel supported. The welcomes, the decor, the staff, the extras like snacks, coffee, before or after massage makes the experience as pleasant as possible. They were able to provide info. in order for me to make a well informed decision about treatment via marsupialization/deroofing of my large liver cyst. Thank you both for your candid conversation. Doctor Holly Yettaw Luts was great person. She answered every our questions in detail. It was our first visit with her.She is best doctor.

(Im sorry I cant remember her name) was very kind and kept us updated. Dr. Shalowitz was extremely knowledgeable, kind, sensitive & answered all my questions. Sara went over the next steps very thoroughly. She followed up the next day with further information on dates & times. It has been a wonderful experience.I would highly recommend this facility.

The staff are very kind and my doctor was straight to the point and helpful. They are understanding of almost any issue or special need under the sun.

I have been going to WMCC for 6 years. The place is always clean and welcoming. Stacy Ochsenrider has been a wonderful health provider. I am lucky to be cancer free, but it also means I won’t be having visits with her. WMCC is a wonderful facility.

Stacy Ochsenrider NP did a wonderful job carefully explaining my treatment plan and her post treatment follow up visits have left me confident that I am continuing to put cancer in my rear view mirror.

I was expecting to be pushed toward treatments I wasnt sure of but instead the Dr. was very understanding of my worries. He wasnt anything like I expected...HE WAS GREAT!

I met with Dr. Toerman on July 12th. He was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to explain the process, pros and cons and possible side effects. Dr. Toerman took the time to answer all our questions. I felt very positive about the process and Dr. Toerman.

My wife and I are quite impressed with the quality of our care team. They have been nothing but friendly, helpful, and/or informative when appropriate. They,along with us are very upbeat about my prognosis.

She explained everything in easy to understand wording. Answered all the questions the we had, me & my mother. She is very caring & compassionate.

I have been receiving care at WMCC for almost 2.5 years and highly recommend it. Ive had both chemotherapy and radiation. All the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants have ALL been amazing and caring. There is a massage therapist there too, who will give a 15 min massage each time you go there and she is amazing as well. I always feel like Im in the best hands possible with my care there from everyone.

The staff is incredibly kind and caring. They listen to their patients and give them time to voice their concerns. The care I received was/is top notch. My “radiation team” stood out amongst all others due to their knowledge, professionalism, care, and sweet/fun/kind personalities.

From my first telephone contact with the practice to my actual session with Ms. Barnett, my session just re-confirmed my previous impression of the quality of patient care that they subscribe to. (I previously had a series of 30 radiation treatments there also.) In my opinion, a first-class operation, with concern for a patients knowledge of his/her condition and concern for the patients comfort in talking about that condition is placed uppermost.

Getting cancer has been extremely scary and absolutely devastating for me, however WMCC has been absolutely amazing. My surgeon Dr Hoekstra was very caring and showed complete compassion for me and helped make the experience as easy as possible. For all of my follow up appointments I am blessed enough to see PA-C Julie DiGiovanni, she has been absolutely amazing and is always so kind, gentle and patient with me. It is so refreshing to have a team who is so compassionate, understanding and truly listen to their patients. I would give them a thousand stars if I could. I 1,000% recommend!

Katie Barnett is Very professional and compassionate. Felt at ease that she understood me and answered my questions and didn’t hesitate to do a follow-up test referral at my last visit.

My personal experience has been heart warming. From my first appointment I was treated with respect and understanding. My cancer is very rare and required 37 intensive radiation treatments. The staff made sure I was as comfortable as possible and always were ready for me at my appointment time. Dr Mislmani was always available at each treatment. The Beach worked tirelessly to care for me.

They have been the best keeping up with me catching the precancer .keeping it from turning into cancer.very grateful n appreciate them all.🙏❤️

Dr Luts came highly recommended to me and she did not disappoint. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. The office/clinic staff were kind and helpful. I have to say though, the very best part of my visit was Glenda the very large Labradoodle, who showed up early in the morning to hand out hugs and pets!

We pulled up to the door and were met by a man with a wheelchair for my husband so I didn’t have to park and get one myself.Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Treatments were explained clearly and Dr. Brown and Laura both listened carefully and patiently to our questions and answered them. They made us feel very comfortable.

They are absolutely the friendliest and kind people ever. Dr. Luts is extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable in the job that she does. Not to mention her bedside manner is amazing. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone who is need of a doctor in this field. Even the receptionist greeting you is very kind.

I had the best experience with a Provider. She took quality time explaining my options and helped me understand what was going on. She gave me excellent eye contact and answered all of my questions. By far she is an excellent Doctor..top tier. She comes highly recommended.

Dr. Brown and his nurse have been very respectful, kind, caring, always happy they never seem in a hurry or have ever made me feel rushed , they both take there time to listen and answer questions. They definitely work very well together along with the other staff ! Front desk girl was very sweet and soft spoken, which is good due to confidentiality, her eye contact was very good !

WMCC is very clean, bright, and accommodating. Parking is very easy. The staff are kind, polite and professional. I was having radiation everyday for a month. I was impressed by the level of efficiency and care they provided.

Dr. Brown, his nurse Laura, and all staff we have encountered at WMCC are absolutely amazing. They are thorough, thoughtful, and understanding. Never have we felt rushed or uninformed. Dr. Brown thinks inside and outside the box for treatment and is quite personable. Laura is an amazing nurse liaison who genuinely cares, takes time to listen to pinpoint needs, and is very knowledgeable in her field. We are blessed to have them as part of our care team!

WMCC got me scheduled quickly while also ensuring all my questions were answered. The office staff was friendly and helpful and made scheduling and paperwork stress free. Dr Luts was fabulous and so far my recovery has been way better than expected.

The doctor was very kind and patient. He took the time to answer all of my questions. His nurse, is the kindest person I have ever met. All through my cancer treatments she was always there for me. She and Dr. Redowski kept me from giving up. The world is a better place because of Tabitha and the doctors, and the radiology techs.

The WMCC continues to provide excellent service, from the greeters at the door to the receptionist to the providers and ending with the scheduling for your next appointment. I go there for regular appointments over the last year and have never had a negative experience. All personnel seem to work together as an integrated team.
