Dr Haakenson has been my Gynecologist since 2013. She makes me feel like family! she always takes care of me, my sisters and my daughters.She is the best in her field.

Dr. Caroline Haakenson is amazing!! She was not my primary OB but I got to see her several times during my pregnancy and also I am so lucky to have her during my delivery! She did an excellent job! I saw Dr. Haakenson after my previous primary OB from a different clinic refused service for a permanent birth control method simply because I am a few years short of 30. Dr. Haakenson discussed my reasoning for wanting this procedure and provided me options and did an excellent job providing details and outcomes of each one. Due to changes in employment, I have a short period of time left with my health insurance. Dr. Haakenson informed me of her typical surgery dates and even offered to be more flexible as this was a time sensitive issue for me. I greatly appreciate her ability to listen and provide the best possible care! I wish I would have found her sooner!

As someone with PMDD, Dr. Haakenson was the first and only doctor who understood my issues, listened to me, and believed me when I said this was destroying my life and relationships. She took her time to listen to all of my symptoms and she explained what she thought was happening with my body and why we were going to take the treatment plan we were. If you have any cyclical issues (meaning emotions, pain, anything that is regular on a monthly schedule) it may not be just depression, anxiety, or PMS, it may be related to your hormones and Dr. Haakenson is the person to go to, to get help.

Dr. Haakenson was my very first obgyn in Salt Lake City probably 10+ years ago. I will always be endeared to her. She was very thorough. Myself as a young woman very scared, she delivered some distressful news to me and was very compassionate and spoke to me from one human to another.She ordered tests for me when she noticed Id had high blood pressure two visits in a row. Her first thought was kidney problems. I remember that moment very well, realizing that I too had polycystic kidney disease like my mom, grandma and great grandpa. She ordered a test to investigate it, she was so kind to me and called me personally to deliver the news and so it began my journey.As my obgyn, I complained of painful women problems, horrible debilitating monthly cramping. She ordered diagnostic tests to find the root of the problem. I had an ultrasound that discovered a defect with my uterus. Dr. Haakenson let me know we needed to rule out bicornuate uterus (which was very stressful) and it was discovered I had a septate uterus.She prescribed a birth control that Im still on and works very well for my women problems. Im very grateful. Im grateful I found out about the septate uterus before I decided to have kids and Im grateful my women issues are under control (I had tried probably 5 or 6 other birth controls before seeing her).Thank you for all you did for me.Emily
