AFC Urgent Care New Bedford

Staff was great!! However the waiting room has a lot to be desired… I actually went and waited in my car because it was gross. The chairs need replacing!! Floors sweptMaybe some housekeeping throughout the day to keep up with sanitary needs.Definitely would recommend!! The NP was awesome…staff was friendly and wait was not bad at all.. very efficient!!

The best urgent care in the area. I wish I could remember all of the wonderful staff members who have helped us there (Madeline, others, I’m just forgetting their names). You’ll seldom find a more welcoming, kind, sweet, accommodating front office staff at a doctor’s office. Everyone who works there really seem to care about people and making them comfortable. Kudos to whoever is doing the hiring and training at AFC. Some of the nicest folks I’ve met at one of these.

A doctor at this urgent care misdiagnosed me, and others that I know. In my case, the doctor said with utmost certainty what he thought I was experiencing, dismissed what I was saying, without testing, 2 years later I find that I was actually right and I was given the completely wrong and careless opinion. I would advise anyone to get 2nd opinions, and if your gut tells you something isn’t right, trust it. I gave it 2 stars because it was always quick to be seen by someone, and everyone was really nice. But the care and professionalism clearly isn’t here with the experience I had, and others I know had too.

I chose this location because of the reviews. Other urgent care centers had 2 and 3 starts and negative comments. Easy to schedule and check the status of your visit via text, easy check in. Place was clean. I was checked in and seen promptly. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, down to earth, and kind. All of that is needed when you dont feel good!! From the front desk to the nurse and the doctor, all were great!New review from second visit.....The staff here are ridiculously friendly and down to earth. They dont talk down to you cause theyre intelligent doctors, or cause theyre swamped with patients. From front desk, to nurse, to doctor, all extremely friendly, polite and just make you feel like you have their attention. It was my second visit here and am so happy I found a place that cares about their patients and treats them with respect and kindness and genuinely want to make you feel better.

My first time there went in for a simple test. I booked my appointment before hand online. Went in and use the scan barcode to sign myself in. They were very busy and I could tell they were short staffed. However all the ladies were absolutely amazing, polite and helpful.

I booked here because the website said there were onsite x-rays, but the staff told me that the x-ray machine has not been available for at least three months. Very disappointed to be referred out to the local hospital for an x-ray. I could not be evaluated at the clinic as advertised.

Friendly welcome.Very organized and clean.Only waited 15 minutes to be called in.The doctors assistant very professional and listing to my complaint also my passed surgeries.The doctor came in very friendly had a mask on which is a plus she was very clear with the test findings and what to do next.Very impressive and will recommend this emergency walk in.

I arrived on time and they took me within five minutes of my time did not have to wait long at all from first entering. Place was very clean. Everyone at reception desk was very friendly and not too forward or anything. The medical assistant took my vitals and was very knowledgeable and friendly. The doctor was extremely friendly, and helped me out and answered all questions. Some of the other clinics should learn from this clinic on how to treat patients and how it run. thank you guys. Keep up the good work.

My visit there was the best compared to any other walk-in clinic. I like how the time passes quickly by watching their TV programs. The staff is very patient and friendly. A very comfortable setting.

So grateful for this urgent care. They are clean and professional. The front desk ladies were so friendly and kind which is especially nice when youre not feeling good. Signed me in super quick. The doctor ( or it may have been nurse practioner ) was also super sweet. The appointment was so quick..30 minutes. That has been the case every single time Ive gone here. Honestly one of the only reasons I even decided to go was bc I knew i wouldnt have to wait 2-3 hours and every Dr., nurse or aid, has been awesome. Overall great experience every time Ive been.

I always have a good visit there. If I have a bad day I have no choice but to shake it off and find a way to smile, it’s hard not to. Very welcoming place. Beautiful souls there love them likeCooked food … minus 1 🤨 big head 😒overall I’d never go anywhere else. Highly recommended

I was here for a physical required for employment. There was one medical assistant, one LPN & PA; They were nice. 13-15 people waiting. I booked an appointment for 1PM. Checked-in at 12:53pm. I was not seen until 3pmHorrible for the provider being overworked. It’s impossible for one person to handle this at an urgent care. Also, A sign says they have an XRAY machine but no tech, the. The machine works and didn’t work. People get referred to hospital.The waiting room was clean but seating appeared old with cuts and wear & tear. Gross and unwelcoming. The front desk staff appeared under worked, ordering food, laughing.

Hi. I was in tremendous amount of pain and I had absolutely NO business driving myself to the hospital, but you guys are close by. I was literally the 3rd patient and the receptionist was amazing with me. She saw the pain I was in and showed me so much compassion. She also informed me that they might not be able to get the proper imaging. She was right, the doctor that helped me immediately felt sorry for me because she couldnt help me immediately. She recommended that Id go to Charlton ER to get imagining done there. She was so sweet as she offered to help walk me out. Theres not alot of people out there that are genuinely kind. So I truly appreciate your support ❤️.I ended up getting the images done and the neurosurgeon said surgery was definitely the only option. I had surgery on December 19th. Recovery has been slow and painful, but each day is getting a little better. 😊So again, thank you from the bottom of of my heart, for being part of healing me.Happy New Year from my family to yours.Jennifer Motta

I just left this place at like 7:40 pm. And the lady who took my vitals was so nice. 💕 The doctor with the beard was also very hospitable. Ive also never been corrected so nicely in my life h*ll yeah. 🎉💕 And he reassured me to extra points for that he seemed genuine to like he cared about his job. And after i left the lady at the front desk was so polite. thank youuuu. 🌸❤️

The staff is always polite, thoroughly detailed and as timely as they can be. Any testing they can provide, it gets done. Somehow my child’s pediatrician that is well established in this city for decades NEVER has time for him , especially when it’s most urgent but his place has never turned us away or left him waiting desperately long periods of time suffering. Nor for myself either, not during Covid or now. I don’t know what the toll is on the staff to meet these amazing marks but I thank them tremendously and hope they pat themselves on the back and know they are appreciated.

I had to wait more than two hours thats because they were the only clinic open on New years day.However everybody was so nice and kind!It was worth the wait!Ill be back next year again!

This place was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helping. I was in and out, prescriptions sent in all within about 35 minutes. They even called me today (the day after I saw them) and checked in seeing if I was feeling any better. I have never had any doctor or office do that. 10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone. Danielle is absolutely amazing! She is passionate and truly cares about her patients. Every time I go there for either my kids or myself we are in and out but our needs are always met ! I recommend AFC - New Bedford to all my family/friends

I had a Q-tip cotton stuck in my ear. I waited less than 15 minutes and they got it removed. They fast and quick over there. Everyone was nice!!

Everyone there was very nice, and I didnt have to wait long to be seen. But there wasnt much they could do about the pain in my leg, other than recommend I go to the emergency room at the hospital. I left there feeling like they dont have the equipment or the staff to do much to treat most people and so just tell you they cant help you and bill your insurance company to collect money without really helping most of the people who go there. It seems kind of like a scam, and Im not likely to go back.

I am very satisfied with visiting there. They were very friendly and polite and pleasant. I will definitely refer them to family & friends and go back myself if needed.

Went in for my toddler. Called ahead to see how long the wait was. The woman on the phone was super nice, telling me that I could either make an appointment online or I could walk in. If I walked in, I would have a few people ahead of us, but it should be quick. Unfortunately they cant give exact wait times, which is understandable but she was very nice and professional on the phone. When I did go in, I was checked in at the front desk by the receptionist and then taken back quickly by the medical staff (wait times will be different every day). Both women were great and professional, and the inpatient coder gave my child a freeze pop, which was thoughtful. When the doctor came, he looked at my childs issue, knew exactly what was wrong, and my child was diagnosed and was given a prescription. I was made to feel heard, and my worries were validated. Thankfully, nothing serious was wrong. I was in and out quickly with great service. The staff gets 5 stars!As for my 4 STAR RATING-The waiting room furniture was horrible. All different kinds of colors with rips and holes in a lot of the chairs. It also looks very bleak, which most doctors offices do, but you could hang an inspirational poster or two. So basically, freshening up the chairs and making the waiting room feel more welcoming would be my only recommendation.

So great all around. Check in and then get your place in line. If its a long wait you can sit in your car and they will call you when its close. Danielle explained everything very thoroughly.

It was great The doctor knew what she was talking about my prescriptions were at the pharmacy before I got there I wouldnt mind going back again I prefer going there than the hospital its faster cleaner quieter thats where Ill be going I suggest everybody to go there

Very quick and efficient. Everyone was nice and polite. They cared enough to listen. I love their simple enrollment process as well. VA nurse recommended them (since VA New Bedford clinic doesnt have a walk-in and were quite curt in their front desk response to my walk-in inquiry, polar opposite of AFC Urgent Care who were quite welcoming) and Im appreciative of that.

This place has no consideration for clients appointment online registration made a appointment for 11am didnt get seen until 12:30 pm..Why have us maje an appointment if you are taking in walking first prior to them people who made the appointment and if so say it when you book the appointment...This place needs to get their act together when it comes to time management UNBELIEVABLE

I arrived after 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon and they closed at 5:00. There were 6 people in front of me and somehow I was out by 5:15! The staff was friendly, the doctor was amazing and kind and I was diagnosed almost immediately with something different than I had diagnosed myself with on Google- ha ha! I highly recommend.

Stuff very nice and helpful. The cheek in is hobblie. Takes to long, and very confusing. Numbers that send to your phone dont work, and I had to keep getting news and reloging in. Not my phone I have a new 2024 phone. Other than that I would go back very clean and everyone is understanding and nice.

I had a few major health problems going on and its not fair you can only be looked at for one thing a visit. Its definitely not fair that its up to the providers if they want to check on more things they can but they pick and choose. My girlfriend went a month ago and got found positive for covid and an uti the same visit but they told me I couldnt be taken care of for the same things. Thats unfair to me. Why because shes a women and Im a man? She had a male provider I had a female but was treated differently. I think yall should figure that part out. Ill never come there or recommend anyone there.

Every employee I interacted with was very professional and courteous. I was in and out very quickly. The facility was nice and clean. Id definetly recommend it!

Great company. Although the wait is long sometimes the doctors make it worth the while. The doctor took the time to listen to my needs and helped. Danielle is a great doctor. Down to earth. Patient and a great listener ! Went in for a tooth ache and left with meds to help me till I could get to the dentist.

When I walked in there was two girls at the desk helping me register and and they honestly were so sweet and so helpful to everybody.. they didnt make you feel funny that you were having a hard time registering... they were patient absolutely super kind and I couldnt help but notice that ...it honestly makes me want to go to this urgent Care over any other lol...

Ive received prompt care here on several occasions. Danielle and Tammy are a great team; theyre good listeners and make you feel like your needs are being met. I truly appreciate the care I received.

Very nice experience, I was walk in patient and the wait is little longer than I expected. My advice is to remold the seats at waiting area and get more tablets to check in service ! Other than that I am grateful for all the professionals that work in that location

Employee at the reception was very helpful. I forgot my insurance card and she looked it up for me. Very pleasant. Staff and the doctor was very thorough with the consult explaining Everything to me.

This was my first time bringing my daughter to this urgent care because I was unaware that they can take children. I didnt want to go to southcoast in dartmouth because we spent 3 hours in the car once when my daughter had a 102 fever it was a horrible experience. Coming to AFC we checked in prior to coming in they alerted us 15 mins prior to appointment and whike we got stuck in traffic they responded to my message through text which was amazing how fast an efficient they were. Once we arrived the receptionist was so kind to us and we waited in the waiting room for not even 5 mintues before we were called in. We were brought into a room by an amazing MA who was so kind and sweet to my daughter and even though she had to get covid and flu tested this MA made my daughter feel so comfortable she didnt cry after get swabed 3 times. The MD was also very professional and kind to me and my child. I definitely give this urgent care 10 out of 10 and definitely will be back in the future I was very happy with the services provided to us. Thank You AFC for an amazing experience during my daughters sickness its very much appreciated ❤️

This office in New Bedford was so wonderful so friendly and on top of things and I can’t wait to be apart of there Medical team soon . There provider Danielle was absolutely fantastic and wonderful bedside manners

Worst care ever. Provider would not help, provide pain relief, and was a very rude judge mental woman, who called me names.Two thumbs down! This place doesnt even care about their patients!Provider had such an attitude and wanted an argument so I had to walk out: no documentation provided; no standard of care.

I would have given it a 5 star review if the place was clean and presentable. The bathrooms were dirty and the furniture in the waiting room were beyond wear and tear. However, I was seen quickly, sign in process was quick and the staff was friendly.

Made appointment online only to be told I would be waiting over an hour for those ahead of me to be seen… Then I was asked to pay prior to waiting for a visit that may not even occur due to the amount of people waiting ahead of me despite my appointment. They ended up calling me for my turn literally an hour past the time I reserved online.

AFC New Bedford MA Thursday 2pm for employment drug screen, busy place with children, adults waiting. Took face mask given the environment. Waited 30 min. Staff really busy hurried & still poite respectful.Great location near Market Basket Taco Bell. Plenty of parking.Even though you may be sick miserable you will have a Happy with experience.

I recently took my son over to AFC New Bedford after work and couldnt be more pleased with our experience. The gentleman at the reception desk was very kind, patient, and helpful. After completing the registration and check-in process we waited maybe 5 minutes before being seen. The building itself is very clean and well maintained. The nurse was friendly and efficient. The doctor came in NO LIE less than 5 minutes after the nurse did! He was amazing listening to my son as he spoke to him directly (which I know made my son feel important) and listened to his answers. Of course I would chirp in too add details or specifics here and there lol! Over all I cant say enough good things about this walk-in urgent care center. It is clean, the staff are kind, respectful, and caring, they get you in and out without delay, all while giving amazing care and attention to what brought you in. This definitely was not the first time Ive been here. Everytime I do I am just reminding of why AFC New Bedford is my first choice when needing to be seen by a doctor either after hours for my primary or not extreme enough for the ER. Thank you to everyone at AFC New Bedford you guys are amazing and appreciated.

I made an appointment to get an xray of an injury to my foot. The website alludes to them being able to provide the service onsite, which is a lie. They got of the xray machine but not the signs at the facility saying they provide services nor is the website updated. I had to go to a nearby hospital the next day to have the actual xray performed. This is at best willfully misleading of patients and at worst fraudulent behavior. I would avoid like the plague. The urgent care in Fairhaven is a much better alternative

This was the quickest urgent care appointment.I have ever been through. Staff was excellent. They got me in and out in record time, while also giving me the care and time needed for my emergency. What a great experience.

I came in to bring my two year old for spider bites and waited for over an hour while they called in people who came in after us to be seen. After going up to the front desk to see what the issue was I was informed that he was still trying to verify our insurance, so because of his incompetence my child and I had to continue to wait. Mind you we have active military insurance and I have never had a problem at any other urgent care. Do not come here if you’re expecting to get timely care.

I was seen by two individuals. A woman who took my vitals, performed my vision test, and ran me through a short survey. I think Im in love with her. The examiner was professional and pleasant as well.

Fantastic staff from the person behind the desk, the nurses and the doctor. Absolutely wonderful.However, they have very limited resources and can’t even take a blood test. Not their fault. Those decisions come from higher up.

Clinical staff that I saw were great and did their best under the circumstances. I called the day before to ask if urgent care could address my medical issue and was told they could. So I booked an appointment and when I was seen I was told they couldn’t help me. So I’m back to looking for a doctor and everyone I called was either not taking new patients or could see me in October. My condition is painful so it’s a long time to wait for something that could be addressed in one appointment and is routine This is where medicine is at these days.

Receptionist was nice. Spent a total (not joking) of 3 minutes with the doctor who told me they could not do anything and that they don’t do lab testing there… lost time and money for nothing.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff that was very accommodating to our 3 sick kids, including our autistic 13 year old. Thank you.

Dr. Busby is nothing but amazing. Every time we’ve gone to urgent care, he has been kind, considerate and to the point! From check in, to being seen, it was an amazingly easy process. The girl at the front desk was going above and beyond, helping elderly fill out their online registration forms. All the staff I came in contact with were very kind and courteous, considering how stressful their job is! Thank you!

The attending medical person, Danielle, was very nice and professional. She removed the contact lens that I could not. I was in excruciating pain and now I am pain free.

Brought my dad in on Sunday was seen right away and referred to st lukes for xray. Got results in about an hour and a half later. Great service.

A++ care. Today was my first visit there and they were great. The receptionist was quick, helpful and kind. The MA ( I think her name was Meghan) was kind, caring and does her job well. The doctor came in and assessed me and had me on my way quickly. AFC is the perfect example of what healthcare should be.

I never leave reviews but this visit definitely stood out to me. Had a very positive experience there with my 5year old. Staff were kind, attentive and caring. From the secretary to the MA and the physician all were amazing. The secretary and MA gave her a snack, and the physican spoke directly to her allowing her to feel seen & heard. We were seen in a timely manner. Grateful!

They took care of admitting me, screening me, and taking care of me in under one hour from the time I walked in the door. The waiting time for my last doctor was longer than my whole visit lasted here.

We are visiting the area for the weekend and brought our son in who hasn’t been feeling well. We didn’t wait at all, he was seen immediately by the nurse and doctor, diagnosed with strep and we were out the door in under a half hour. Very impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the staff! Thank you for making this mom’s life a little easier!

This is best run urgent care in the area. The reception Staff all the way to the doctors that treated me were extremely professional and kind. They were well organized, and I highly recommend their services.

Made an appointment online the same day, in and out in less than 45 minutes. Super fast, nice and professional. Quick and to the point. The only thing is I’m not sure what it costs with my insurance, I guess that’s on me but it’s hard to understand all the insurance fine print.

I went in with a Pencillin reaction. The staff from front desk to the back were kind and so helpful. The MA who took my information and the health care provider who saw me were very thorough. He went into a great explanation of why the Penicillin was causing a rash and vomiting. He listened to my concerns and I appreciated that. Great staff. I will use this Urgent Care if needed again.

I received kind, fast and efficient care, including a promised follow up call with the additional medications the healthcare provider informed me she would prescribe me for precautionary reasons when my x-ray results came in. The x rays were healthy but the team wanted to be proactive and rule out any possible complications due to not implementing a thorough care plan. I loved that!What I appreciated most about AFC was how easy it was to book an appointment asap, while Southcoast had exorbitant wait times and zero ability to book an appointment immediately for the next day.When I am unwell the last thing I want to do is rot in a waiting room with other potentially unwell people.Thank you AFC for awesome scheduling capabilities.

She Clearly Has No Bedside Manner. She Wanted To retake My Blood Pressure Because It’s High. It’s High Because I’m In Pain But You Can Takeit Again I Said To Her. She Says Nope I’ll See What The Provider Wants To Do I’m Not Doing Nothing! She Has A Problem Now Because Once I’m Done Here She’s Reported & Then Some.

I had an appointment but one of the girls helped me with the check in since I was having an issue. I had a long wait which was understandable so they brought me a bottle of water which was very thoughtful. I got the meds that I needed.

Reception staff are friendly and welcoming. I arrived at 8am of a Saturday, and no waiting line at all. It is a great idea to have medical clinic in the neighborhood where you can walk with convenience! I can’t give 5 stars due to their poor hygiene and poor dressing code of service provider. I saw dry blood strains on the floor under the patient bed corner. The service provider walked in with his shirt taken off and tied to his waist I thought he was a plumber walking into the room by mistake!

I have been here several times with my and my 4 other family members. Always a great experience. Dr Busby, the nurses, and front desk are always such a pleasure to deal with. I’m so happy when I go there and I see Dr. Busby is still there! Besides the actual pediatrician I don’t bring my girls anywhere else but here. These are my three girls and we have been coming here since the oldest was nine.

The nurse Practitioner that I saw, Danielle, hopefully I spelt her name correctly, was extrodernary. She fixed my problem better than my primary doctor. She was attentive and listened to me. She made sure to answer all my questions and told me I could come back and see her if I had any more issues or questions. I got into see them quicker than an er and with better care. Everywhere else was a 6 hour wait for our very sick 5 year old. I called and they were able to get her in right away. The staff was amazing with her. We will definitely be going back if we need the urgent care again.

Front desk was very helpful and willing to assist with a smile. Very efficient, wait time was quick to be seen, Medication was sent right away to the pharmacy. I would go back again for sure to be honest I was hesitant at first because we was not in the system so processing was a little overwhelming but the young lady up front assisted us very well.

Was able to make an appointment through their online booking with ease and was able to be seen after work approx 345-4pm on a monday. The front desk ladies were pleasant and helpful while checking me in. I waited maybe 15min to be called in, the nurse who took my vitals was personable and efficient. Once the doctor came In (another 5-10min) he had me in and out in no time and was very pleasant and informative. My script was ready to pick up by the time i got to the pharmacy. Unfortunately, I needed help on a Sunday, and the wait was 3 hours. While I was displeased with the wait, I understood that it was a Sunday and everyone was understaffed. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Dillion. He listened to me. He had an upbeat attitude and was compassionate and attentive! Great experience!

I made an online Same Day appointment. Every other urgent care was booked until the next day. I was sent a text message to register my information. I got to the New Bedford location, and paid my co-pay. I was met by the MA who took me to my exam room, checked my vitals, and asked me about my medical history. I was tested for strep, flu, and COVID. The doctor came in and checked my lungs, breathing, and heart. The doctor was very personal and attentive. Overall great experience. PS, I was negative on all 3 tests….

The staff over at AFC New Bedford was top notch and made for a very pleasant experience. I brought my son in today(8/24) after he complained of an earache. Being new to the area, I was skeptical but Naomi was courteous and very knowledgable when checking us in and helping resolve insurance issues. She took the time to call the carriers, which saved me from having to pay out-of-pocket. The nurse and physician assistant were also great with my son, making him feel comfortable throughout the examination. All of this happened in less than an hour - Amazing. Hopefully we won’t need urgent care anytime soon, but if we do, we know exactly where to go.Thanks again,Val

My time at this facility was about 1/2 hr. The doctor was great. Listened to me and offered suggestions for my back pain. 5 stars for today 1/13/24Went today 3/3/24 for a toothache. Was in and out. Place is always clean. Staff is always friendly. Best urgent care around this area by far. I’d give them 10 stars if I could

Just completed my USCG approved physical exam and drug test at AFC. My experience was fantastic! The whole staff from reception to medical were all extremely professional, competent and courteous! I highly recommend AFC! Thanks again to the whole staff!

Horrible, had to walk out. Been there for over 3 hours, 2 hours in a room. The nurses just nodded there heads when I said I was lighted headed and I couldnt wait anymore. I had to walk out and leave untreated after paying

Couldn’t get there until about 7pm so the staff wanted to go home (understandably) The nurses were absolutely phenomenal, kind, quick, and thorough. The (male) physician couldn’t really be bothered & simply told my teen daughter to go see her primary. Didn’t give much of an answer. Listened to her lungs. Did a chest X-ray. And said nothing else. (You could tell he just wanted to leave, again understandable to a point)

Thank you for your kind service enjoy but the only problem I had is they sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy. I think when you’re dealing with elderly and we tell you how many times we go to this particular pharmacy and gave you the phone number that they should really follow through. Super nice people. Unfortunately it was a holiday when I visited so they didnt have the staff on site to be able to accommodate my medical needs. Waiting to see what I was charged for my vitals to be taken before I can leave an accurate review. I will re-evaluate the stars given at that time.

I went in got there at about noon on a Saturday. There were 6 people ahead of me when I got there and my appt was technically scheduled for 2:15p but I was seen about 1 pm. I was able to sign in using my phone by uploading all my information including my insurance info right from my phone which was something I hadn’t seen before.The person who brought me in and took my vitals was very nice. She asked me details about my health, meds I take and my health history. She was kind and compassionate.Once the PA came in he was thorough but very timely. I explained my history with asthma and my symptoms and what I had been taking over the counter. I told him what meds have worked for me before when I have been sick like this and he agreed. He also was able to put in a prescription inhaler I wasn’t able to get an appt to get from my primary care as I could not get an appointment for a few months. He was very nice and diagnosed me with bronchitis very quickly (which I knew I had). I got a text from my pharmacy about five minutes later after he left my room with the prescriptions he put in.What a wonderful experience I had even though I felt terrible. I give this urgent care a 5/5 for it being the Saturday before Christmas. I will definitely be going there again when I can’t get in to see my primary care!Overall if you are sick and it’s Saturday or even a week day put your trust in AFC urgent care as they care about their patients and are very thorough but timely.

All of the staff members were friendly and professional. This was my first time there, Makenna and her team were fast and efficient at getting me what I needed as quickly as possible. I left happy and satisfied in my choice to utilize AFC urgent care.

It was not until I had explained my issue and paid my $45 copay that I was told by the dr. that they could not help me because I needed a CAT scan and they did not have the imaging equipment. Rip off. Will never go back or refer anyone.

Went to AFC Urgent Care today for chest pain after falling into a piece of furniture yesterday. The woman who checked me in was extremely patient and kind considering I was nervous and falling over my words. The medical assistant who took my vitals was also very kind and accommodating of my obvious anxious state. The provider was sure to go over an explanation of my chest pain with me and reassure me it was most likely not a broken bone, and also made sure my lungs sounded okay. Overall a very quick and pleasant process, definitely one of the best I’ve had at urgent cares! Even just the explanation of the pain after he examined was very very helpful. I did not use online booking, and it really only took about 10 minutes for me to be seen and that included the time it took for me to be checked in.

Went here for UTI symptoms was in and out in under an hour! Highly recommend. The staff are friendly and they had me provide my sample while I was waiting.

I’ll give 2 stars because the front desk and nurses were extremely friendly and outgoing. I went yesterday morning and The women who treated me was telling me about a bad review she received about her from another person. She proceeded to only have me unwrap the wound tapped the gauze on it a few times didn’t clean it just wrapped it back up and sent me to Saint Luke’s for X-rays because there’s was closed and they weren’t not even open at all…. Had an okay first experience however, I had to be poked three different time because there A1C machine wasnt working. Overall it was an okay first experience. I got there early, checked in and I was the first one called, there staff were excellent and professional.

I honestly did not really have too many complaints. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and polite, as well as the medical assistants and doctor. It did take an hour or so to be seen, which is typically normal in an urgent care. I came in because I was having pretty moderate cold symptoms. I did not have much of an issue at all until a couple weeks later, I had noticed that they billed me $175 out of no where. Not in any point in time did ANYONE tell me that I was going to be charged that amount for just being SEEN! No procedures were done and I was not even prescribed anything. I was not warned at all, I was just asked to put a card on file for them, so I did. I was not aware at all I would be charged, especially since I have health insurance! It was absurd. I immediately called and asked why I was billed, and they had told me I would be refunded, still unaware of what I was even charged for in the first place.

Staff was extremely helpful. Visit was quick and painless.

This is the best urgent care we’ve ever visited! Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and efficient. Having an assigned time and being able to leave for a little while and then come back is fantastic! The facility is clean and bright. This location will be our “go to” whenever we need urgent care!

My experience was terrific. I went in to have an ear blockage addressed. Madison the tech was attentive and described the issue to the doctor perfectly. He told me she would conduct the Rwandan removal. She described every step and made certain I was comfortable. After the procedure was ove, the doctor checked it. I knew something was different. He gave me instruction on what to expect and a follow through if I was still concerned.When I went to my car and the music began, I heard one of my speakers that I couldn’t hear for some time.Success!I’m grateful.

Ashley Stack is hands down the most helpful receptionist I have ever encountered at a walk-in. She cares about her patients needs, and has a sense of urgency that is NEEDED (and wanted) for urgent care. She patiently walked and elderly couple through their medical records and explained each topic with great detail for them to understand. Proceeded to offer cold water, and made sure TV was on and patients were comfortable. Ashley Stack is a very kind soul.

Terrible service by the Alcohol and Drug test technician. I was the only person in the office for a test at the time and it still took over a half hour to be seen. Said tech, stated that she was with another client yet she roamed about the office four times and even on her personal phone and no one came out the side of the office that she was located. When finally called I was I upset and it was shown on my face said tech stated that she remembered me from my last visit to which once again took a lot longer than it should’ve. I felt that she purposely took her time to get to me for retaliation. I asked at the front desk how long was the wait, I was told it shouldn’t be long because I was the only one there for a drug test and that I don’t need to be seen by a physician. If it wasn’t for my company mandating me to take it at this facility I definitely wouldn’t refer this location for its testing.

Very professional and clean office. The receptionist Ruth was amazing, very caring and helpful. The doctor was also great and informative. I was seen quickly and had an X-Ray done right in the same office. I will definitely go back there again if I need urgent care.

Clean, friendly and most importantly FAST; no paperwork to fill out (they text you a link so you can do it on your phone) — upon completion it tells you how many people are ahead of you and a tough rough estimate of how long.. mine said 2 hrs; but I was in and out in 45mins. Staff was friendly, kind, and courteous. DR who saw me was pleasant and knowledgeable. I’ve worked @ 2 difficult local walk-ins (Tru Med in Fall River and Tristan Medical Center in Taunton) and this place blew them outta the park; waiting rooms were clean, spaced out seating with a giant smart tv. Exam room also extremely clean. My bf goes to the Lakeville one a lot, and it’s always at a MINIMUM 2.5 hrs.

Waited over an hour just to be seen by a nurse. Who tried to take my blood pressure, the machine broke. So she took 20-30 minutes just to return to the room where the equipment was present (she said she had to grab stuff). I was tested 3 different times. Only to be tested for strep again. Just to be given an antibiotic, with no diagnosis and to be told I might have to stop taking the full dose because they didnt know what was going on other than something is going on in there as they looked at my infected tonsils. Im convinced you can get better medical attention from your local homeless man.

I went for a pre-employment physical and from the time I stepped into the building I was treated in a very professional manner from checking in, to having a skilled phlebotomist drawing my blood & the exam itself. I would recommend this establishment to anyone with an exam and or illness.

I took my son here after an injury because they say they do X-rays. They do not! After waiting to see the PA I was sent to the hospital to get the images. Only go here if you need no services. They do not have what they say they do.More time wasted.

I was very pleased with how fast everything moved. I was only in the emergency room for five hours. All of the nurses were great, kind, timely, everyth looked clean. My only complaint would be the unsympathetic doctor named Manuel,

This urgent care was useless. I wasted my time to find out they couldn’t even help me. The doctor was not helpful. He did not examine me to figure out what could be wrong with me. He basically said he had no idea what was wrong with me and that there was nothing he could do. I was very displeased that he didn’t even try. And in addition, the receptionist should have informed me from the moment I checked in that this urgent care was only able to do limited services. They couldn’t do most of the services they offer, listed on their website. I was shocked. I basically waited for 60 minutes only to be seen for 60 seconds. I was very disappointed! And they better not charge me for doing nothing for me.

Highly professional, thorough and prompt attention by all of the staff to the need for medical assistance, focusing on symptoms and prescribing a series of tests that will enable the doctor to diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatment. I would rate their assistance as a 10 out of a possible 10 throughout.

The worst urgent care I’ve ever been to. They only have 1 provider and I had to wait over 6 hours to get treated. I had body aches, dizziness, headaches and a temp over 100. When I went in to be seen they said there was only 3 ppl ahead of me and the wait was 2 hours. Which I thought was long but Do-able. 6 hours later I’m still waiting. I am NEVER coming back to this urgent care. This is not an “urgent” care at all!!

I was very impressed with the friendly, professional and caring staff at the afc New Bedford Center. The Receptionist went to great pains to get me signed in, without losing her patience with me. No easy task! The Nurse Victoria and Dr. Assistant Eric were Phenomenal with the care they provided me. The BEST facility in the New Bedford area.Thank You American family care!

Front staff was great. Medical staff was awful. They do not care about you at all and will use Covid for everything. Went in with the worst cough I’ve ever had and told them I already took a Covid test so I didn’t need another one. They took one anyway, came back negative just like the first one then all they did was send me home!! No recommendations for what to do about my cough or anything else. Will NEVER be going back.

Very, nice, caring people. My only objection would be that I paid money only to be told they couldnt do much for me. If you are in need of serious prescription pain pills, they cant give them to you at urgent care. Be warned.

I visited AFC today with concerns of a broken hip ,I was greeted with professionalism and staff that were eager to find what was going on, very polite and time efficient! This is my fourth or fifth time visiting this clinic and every visit is equally pleasant! I highly recommend AFC urgent care to anyone in need! You won’t be disappointed!

Even though the place had 3-4 patients, it took them from 2:15pm-410pm for them to put me in the room. Although the staff was very kind, attentive, and informative, I think they couldve did better with the time. Besides the wait, Id highly recommend AFC Urgent care.

The doctors, nurses and staff are always helpful and friendly! Just stinks with everyone being short staffed…. Sometimes You have to wait hours to been.It’s hit or miss with this urgent care. Sometimes I’m in and out with in a hour but this time I had to wait a hour past my given time of appointment and then had to wait another 2 hours until I was seen by the doctor. Like I said, all staff was extremely nice but I was very sick this time andI was waiting with my infant( not a good combo)
