Eastside Gynecology & Obstetrics

I have been a patient here for 50 years. I absolutely love the physicians & nursing staff. I love the girls that do the mammograms, they make it easy. Dr Knapp is my doctor, but I’ve had the privilege of having all of them, 30 years ago when I had my sons, and this is a wonderful practice. I encourage anybody that doesn’t have a good office to go for their female issues you should come here they are wonderful.

I’ve been going to Eastside Gynecology & Obstetrics for over 25 years it a wonderful place to get the care you need. The people are very nice and professional always helpful and polite and o yeah the doctors are good to……🤣😂. My favorite doctor is Dr. Knapp wonderful bedside manner. I ask questions so my doctor has to be a to listen and explain things to me and Dr. Knapp is more thorough than my PC…..🤔🤐😂.

Dr. Suzanne Hall is excellent. She answered all of my questions and went out of her way to help get me in for a test plus called back with the results within the same day. She really cares about her patients. Plus very knowledgeable and up to date.

Dr. Hall is an exceptional doctor/woman. Shes very easy to talk to, down to earth. The staff is very pleasant 😊 I felt very comfortable and would recommend this facility to family and friends, heck strangers who are im need of a good gynecologist

Just needed to say how much I love the team here at East side. Every doctor I have seen has been professional, personable, and knowledgeable! A special shout out to Dr Mahoney. As someone who had an emergency c section as a first time mom, I can say he is absolutely fantastic. He was calm, collected, and informative! I highly recommend coming here.

Dr. Cousineau was friendly, professional and I felt at ease with her immediately. She never made me feel like she had a foot out the door during my appointment and again, I stress, very friendly and professional! The positive reviews I read about her before making my decision to see her were spot on! The staff was polite, friendly and also very professional. This was equally as important to me as the doctor. (Patients hear EVERYTHING while waiting both in the waiting area and in the room AND have more interaction with them than the doctor a lot of the time.) My wait time was minimal, less than expected actually and that was very refreshing. Overall I was impressed with Eastside Gynecology & Obstetrics.

I have been going to Eastside GYN/OB for over 30 years. Dr Knapp is awesome and always very personable. He also delivered my middle son 31 years ago! The staff is also always friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Dr HallIs amazing. Excellent bedside manner, informative and to the point. Cynthia , the assistant, was also super amazing. Can’t ask for better women taking care of women. HighlyRecommend this place. Very welcoming and comfortable for a woman’s uncomfortable needs.

Efficient, the tv in lobby shared a mindful breathing practice, the lab tech co. In same office was nice. The medical assistant and billing dept. Were also patient and calm.

I am so glad that I have Dr. Chen as my obgyn. He is so thorough and takes the time to listen to me and all my issues. He discovered an issue with me and quickly did tests and referrals so that I could be taken care of quickly and efficiently. So grateful for his expertise and kindness.

Everyone was nice and patient with me from check in all the way to being seen. The doctor listen to me and took her time with me I didn’t feel rush at any point. So happy I found this place.

I would’ve given 5 Stars because besides the unpleasant receptionist and directional mishap everything else was great!When I arrived to the building there’s a main door that you see more of the pictures of a metro pediatric therapy place, mind you this is my first time coming to this office so I assume that I was at the wrong door! So I proceeded to go around to the other side of the building and I seen the name of the office of which I needed to go into, I pulled on the door and it was locked! So now I’m confused because my appointment was set for 8:30a and it was 8:21a when I arrived, so I proceeded to call and the line said that their office was closed! I just so happened to see a worker come out of the back door near where I was parked that told me that I had to go in through the front entrance near the other business! In which they should have a sign on the other door stating that! When I finally went into the building the receptionist ( chubby, caucasian and wore glasses) that helped me was very rude. I stated to her that I had went around to the other door, assuming that was the door that I go into because it said their name, but when I pulled on it was locked, which she stated to me, “I don’t understand why people keep going to that door, that door has been close since 2013”, like I’m supposed to know that! I expressed to her that I was new to this building. I’ve never been here before, she still continue to tell me, “she don’t understand why we keep going to that door,” even though there’s no note in that door stating that you should come around to the other door! Then I proceeded to tell her that I tried to call to get more information and help on what door I should come into and the line said that your office was closed. She then stated to me, “yeah that’s because our lines don’t open up until 9a” I said well ma’am, how would I know that if my appointment is at 8:30 AM I’ve never been to this office before so I wouldn’t know that your lines do not open until 9 AM! If people have appointments earlier than nine, then why wouldn’t you guys have your lines open especially for newer people that’s coming to your building or they may have a question about their appointment. Why are your lines not opening until 9 AM when your building is open prior to 9 AM? She was just very rude and not friendly so but besides that everybody else was awesome. The building was clean. My doctor was awesome besides that everybody else and everything else was great besides those two experiences so that’s why I gave four stars instead of five!

Just had my first appointment with Dr. Chen and the team at Eastside. From calling to schedule, to consultation, exam, and follow up appointments at check out, this was a great experience during a tough personal time. Eastside really has the formula for excellent care, kindness and concern for their patients all figured out! Very happy and full of gratitude!!!

The girls in the front are very nice. I got to my appointment early and they were able to get me into a room a little early. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Chen! Hes professional, hes gentle but through during exams, he talks to me like Im a person of value and not just another patient. I wont see anyone else!

Expect extremely long wait times. Youll sit in the exam room for 45 minutes and the waiting room for 15-20 minutes. Ive been going there for years. Doctors are good but every time there is a 45-90 minute wait!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Chen for over 25 years. He has kept me in the best health with my female parts!! The office is always clean and getting an appointment is easy and quick. Checkout process could be smoother, sometimes there is a line down the hallway.

I had two back-to-back appointments starting at 7:40 and I was done and pulling out of the parking lot at 8:35. Dr. Mahoney is always awesome. Quick and painless exams. I always have such good conversations with him. Great bedside manner.Love this practice.

Super comfortable atmosphere and Dr. Chen is my number one favorite doctor. He does a very thorough job and answers every single question I may have.

Started coming here as of 2024 and each visit is very prompt and pleasant. I also very much appreciate how easy it is to request prescription refills. Love this office!

The staff is friendly and always great with answering questions. Dr. Hall is a very compassionate doctor and I always feel well cared for.

Excellent staff, starting with check-in at front desk, then young lady in exam room inputting info to update my file, and check-out desk!! And if course our kind Dr. Nehra! Entire staff is so very patient, kind, efficient & knowledgeable!

I’ve been seeing Dr. John Knapp for almost 30 years! He delivered my first child and he’s been my OB/GYN ever since. I don’t believe any woman enjoys these visits, but I feel that Dr. Knapp helps it to be a little more comfortable, less awkward, easy to talk to. It’s nice that I can schedule my mammogram and 20 minutes later, see Dr. Knapp too, knock it all out in about an hour.

I had two amazing nurse Kelly and Kenya who made a first time patient feel uncomfortable and showed that being not normal is a good thing instead of a negative outcome. And Dr Hall is warm and kind also quick with empathy towards and awkward experience.

Always a good experience at my follow up care. I had a smooth Surgery in April of this year. My Doctor Carmen Lafia and staff are very professional and extremely skilled.

Im a bit older and had trouble with the digital check in, they were very helpful and cheerful I only had about a 30 minute wait The doctor was very patient with me and helped me through a difficult situation The office staff are just as friendly and cheerful as my doctor I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Dr Chen has been my Dr over 25 yrs hes delivered 3 of my 4 babies n I trust him implicitly! Hes always kind n always treats me with respect. I cant recommend a better Dr or facility as staff has always been great too.

I was referred to this practice by a friend.After having a negative experience with my previous gynecologist, I was understandably apprehensive.However, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and orderliness of the office, as well as the friendliness and knowledge of the staff.My physician took the time to listen to my medical history and asked relevant questions.I was able to get my annual checkup and have my labs drawn, and we also scheduled some imaging tests that will be done in-office.I am very impressed with the level of professionalism, communication and follow-through at this practice, and I am happy to be a patient here.Update- Ive had nothing but a positive experiences at this practice.

In the beginning I had a really good experience. The last two appointments, wait times have been ridiculous. Each time I’m asked to undress and then left in the exam room for over an hour, with no clothes on. It’s very uncomfortable and poor customer service. Just paid an $800 bill but can’t get proper bedside manner. Incredibly upsetting all when you’re here due to postpartum depression. My appointment was at 3:40. It’s now after 5:00. Once the front desk was so rude to me I walked out in tears. They were mad that I didn’t bring a paper up with me. Didn’t know I had to. I’m not on the administrative staff payroll here.

Dr. Hall is engaged and informative. Mammogram was quick and easy.However, the lab wait was wayyyy too long today.

Dr.Knapp and staff are the absolute best, hands down. They are the kindest around and the quality of care you receive is hard to find these days. I always leave feeling better knowing I still have the best professionals looking after my health.

I scheduled my appointment over two months ago to have my mammogram and Pap smear done on the same day. My mammogram was at 2:40 pm and I arrived at 2:25 pm. I was taken back almost immediately and did not wait for more than five minutes. I was back in the waiting room by 2:45 to wait for my 3:00 pm appointment. When I was still not seen by 3:30 pm. I went and asked the front desk when I would be seen as my appointment was 30 minutes ago. I was told there were no rooms available and there were three doctors working. I sat back down for another 15 minutes, and by now it was 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment. It was then I noticed that three other clients were called back to be seen. I went to the front desk again and was told I could reschedule. I also noticed several nurses coming and going in and out of the door to the exam rooms - they even propped the door open with a garbage can! I have had this appointment for over two months and it was deliberately planned that way. I was finally called back at 3:50 to be seen. My nurse was rushed and went through my chart again- which I filled out online to avoid this extra time. I was finally seen by my doctor one hour after my scheduled appointment time at 4pm.I have been to appointments and waited, but this was not acceptable. My time is just as valuable as that of others and I had to rearrange another appointment due to this one being so far behind and I was going to be charged a late fee for not being on time, which they graciously waived due to the above explanation.I do want to note, that this is not the norm for this practice, but this time was completely unacceptable. My mammogram was even done early. When appointments are scheduled months in advance every effort should be made to stay on time. I expect a 15 minute wait, but an hour, no.Please do better.

Dr. Suzanne Hall is a bright, friendly doctor who explains procedures, listens carefully to questions and provides information to help her patients understand upcoming procedures. She has my high recommendation as a very caring & excellent gynecologist!

I had an early morning visit so I was taking back pretty quickly. The MA that took my information was rushed and not super friendly. She was short in tone. The walls are really thin and you can hear almost all of the convo in the next room and convos in hallway. Overall my dr was good. Quick in and out of there.

Everyone at the office is always so nice and professional. I really enjoy Dr. Hall, her staff and the care that they all provide!

The staff were extremely helpful and very nice! I was running a little behind and they were still very accommodating and allowed me to continue with my appointment. They answered all my questions and Dr. Chen listened to me and gave me great feedback.

I’ve this place! I happened upon Dr. Hamby by complete divine process! I really have liked her ever since. She’s passionate, considerate and really appears to have your complete best interest at hand. This place is clean, busy and great customer service skills thus far!!!

I waited over an hour to be put into a room for another 30 minutes. The dr was very rushed. Wasn’t in the room but five minutes and left. Abruptly. Now I need to find another dr!! I felt dismissed. My problem still exists. She did nothing!

Update - I received a uterine biopsy on November 21 and was told a 5-7 business day turnaround on results. After my sample having to be found, gaslighting from the office manager Leslie, and a new date of results for December 6 (9 business days after my biopsy) I have still not received results as of December 14. I called this week for an update and they told me my results are in and my doctor needs to read them. To wait this long for peace of mind test results is absolutely insane and the customer service I have received is nothing but appalling.Eastside Gynecology is a frustrating place. The doctors are amazing - Dr Cousineau and Dr Chen are two of the best physicians I have dealt with. Dr. Cousineau did my tubal ligation this spring and discovered my endometriosis, and the two of them together have been assisting me in finding the correct medications and navigating the process. I think they are an amazing asset. However, the office itself is terrible. If I could just pick up Dr. Cousineau and Dr. Chen and put them in a functioning practice, my life would be so much better. If you call the front desk and expect to speak to a person - lower your expectations. They rarely answer the phone and never provide call backs from the answering machine. When you call the nurses, most of the time they tell me to make an appointment. Judy the nurse is very nice and helpful. There is one who is very short and rude and does not give a name when she answers. I have tried calling the office manager before to discuss this, but she was on vacation and never returned my call.There have been times where I have an emergent situation and called to see if I could be seen and no one answered the phone or called me back from the voicemail. If you are looking for an office who has a sense of urgency (such as having a baby or need care with surgery) I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The practice itself is a tragic mess.Dr. Cousineau and Dr. Chen can do better :)

I recently switched from a different OBGYN and I couldn’t be happier with Eastside Gynecology. Dr Knapp is amazing and took the time to explain everything to me. The staff are all very nice and welcoming.

It was my first time going to a gynecologist ever and I was so extremely nervous. I booked an appointment with Dr. Mahoney, who is a male, which made me a little more nervous. Let me tell you though, he is absolutely the best doctor I’ve seen in a while. Within the first minute of our conversation my nerves dissipated and I felt so extremely comfortable being seen by him. My mom came with me and after my visit she even made an appointment to be seen by him, he was just that great. So happy I was referred to his office and am looking forward to my next appointment! 100% recommend Dr. Mahoney!!

Dr Hamby does a wonderful job. She takes time to explain things and makes you feel very comfortable. She listens well, and is very caring.

I have never been to a medical facility where everyone is extremely pleasant. Dr Chen knew it’s been a while for this kind of visit and as he doing his job he keeps talking to you to make what he does most pleasant. Highly recommend

I have a scar from two open heart surgeries. The mammogram tech took extra care to make sure the scar wasnt pulled. She positioned me to ensure my comfort. It was very much appreciated.

Dr Abundis is amazing—she’s fast, gentle, and has a great bedside manner. All the staff was very nice and professional, and my concerns and questions were all met with patience and consideration. They even giggled at my silly jokes :-)

I usually am very happy with the care at Eastside Gynecology. Today was not good. After more than 30 years going to Dr. Nehra, the staff scheduled me with a different doctor. When I checked in, they gave me the different name. I told them that was not my doctor. Somehow they squeezed me in but 55 min later, in my robe, I’m still waiting to be seen.

Love my doctor (Knapp) and the assistants.The office staff at checkout did not seem too happy today. They were not as friendly as the doctor and medical assistants.

Always a pleasure with professionalism and promptness for 20yrs of being serviced. I will always highly recommend Eastside Gynecology & Obstetrics. I have had the opportunity to be serviced by the midwives during 2 of my pregnancy, Dr. Blunden ( Happy Retirement) , Dr. Chen, Dr. Hall , Dr. Knapp, Dr. Abundis and for 10 years Dr. Mahoney. Thank God the same office and seeing staff change, retire and growth of new services offered. Keep up the great work.

I have been coming there since I was 16 and I’m 46 now. Dr. Chen is the best and makes sure I am comfortable and explains everything so I can understand. The staff are friendly as well

This is my third child with Eastside Gynecology and I am having the exact blissful experience from the first time I walked in. I love everything about this place from the reception, to the midwives (they are the BEST) to the ultrasound techs. I’m always heard. I’m always comfortable!! I would suggest this place to ANYONE seeking OB/GYN care!

If I could give this place and their drs a zero, I would. The worst experience ever, you will wait an hour at each every appointment before being seen, if not longer, if you miscarry, they have NO sympathy. After finally getting comfortable with a dr, she decided to not show up for surgery. Just avoid this place at all cost!!

I really enjoyed and am appreciative for the great customer service!!! It’s been a great appointment from setup to the actual appointment! All the staff are pleasant and friendly and that means a lot! I will definitely recommend my female family and friends!

I had a follow up appointment for 2:40 I Arrived there 2:33 went to the desk waited in the lobby almost 1 hour then I was taken to the room with my blood pressure asked me what I was here for. Told her a follow up appointment there I sat in the room until until, 4:22 I Was just about to get up and ask somebody what was going on that I’ve been sitting there almost 2 hours when doctor Nehra finally came in apologize that my file was put somewhere else He left and then returned with the correct file I shouldn’t have waited that long in the room before finding out what was going on The front desk needs to make sure that these files are put in the correct area

I have had overwhelmingly positive experiences with Dr. Knapp, Dr. Mahoney, and Dr. Chen in recent years. I also saw Drs. Hall and Abundis when I was in my teens/early 20s and always felt comfortable with them as well.

When I went to place my urine sample inside the cupboard hole there was also someone else’s urine sample still sitting in there. I actually had to move the other sample over so that both of our samples could fit. I went to tell the nurses and they said ok and just continued doing what they were doing. There was no sense of urgency to move the samples. This is definitely not sanitary and I was disappointed.

My appointment was for 8:40. I was taken back at 9:21. I wasn’t seen by a doctor until 9:51. Doctor left at 9:59 after doing my pap and breast exam, not answering questions, obviously not caring about how I was doing (after a previous visit of asking more questions and the doctor telling me to google my questions).Much like the rest of the US, seems like they only care about you if you’re pregnant.

I was very happy with my visit. The doctor was very thorough. My testing went extremely well. The tech was amazing. Would recommend others to this practice

Friendly receptionists, Dr Chen Nurse April was so sweet and helpful. Dr. Chen is as before informative and explained things to me. I would highly recommend a visit here.

Im glad I changed from my previous OB. Love the doctors and the staff. Dr. HAMBY is so nice and caring. Staff is so on top of things.

My mammogram appointment was at 11:40 & I was taken back a minute or two after signing in. My tech was fantastic…I’ve used this group for years, my daughters do too & other family members. Staff is professional & kind & we wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

All the staff was pleasant, I got called back in a timely manner for both of my appointments, and the ultrasound tech was very informative and eased any anxiety I had about the mammogram. Dr. Hamby of course is awesome and is genuinely concerned about your well-being, tends to your wants/needs, provides quality care, and is just an astounding doctor. Every visit has been a great experience in both of her offices.

Ladies please find somewhere else to go.When Dr. JOANA BARTH, MD pulled the speculum out my vagina, she pulled and pinched tissue out along with it…. this was very painful!!!!. May I add, the nurse or assistant gave me two swab sticks to swab the inside of my vagina myself for a BV TEST! 😮 I know this is against protocol.The doctor apologized for the vagina pinch but no ma’am no ma’am,I won’t be back.Plus they forgot I was in the lobby waiting to be seen after arriving 10mins before my appointment time.This place has definitely changed since 2022.My vagina and I are going somewhere else next time🥹😔

For my mammogram was on time the ladies there were amazing. That apportionment was scheduled for 10 my appointment for Dr. Nehra was scheduled for 10:20 as of this post still waiting to see him

Eastside GYN is very thorough. There very seldom is a long wait to be seen by the doctor. The entire staff treats patients with respect!

Clean Comfortable facility. The staff was very nice and polite. My Doctor (Knapp) is the best as he genuinely cares about his patients and their health and thats rare.

I came for help with some personal issues, and confirmation of a diagnosis that was given through another physician, I needed that advice and I trust my GYN so I needed to hear hear her say what was previously told to me , The staff was great , I was seen in a timely manner and was given some options that I was unaware of so I feel that it was worth the trip and glad I have this office as a health resource.

Since meeting Dr Lafia this year I have only experienced great care at both Grosse Pointe & Roseville locations. I strongly recommend her.

My old practice, where I had my first daughter, had closed and had selected this location due to its proximity to my home. When I was booking my first appointment to confirm my pregnancy, they said I had to book a second appointment to have a one hour meeting with an OB. I asked if I could combine these appointments and was told no. Went in for my first appointment, the staff was friendly. Huge office, little overwhelming, since I came from a much smaller office previously. The nurse was nice but she kept pushing for me to get a PAP and I only wanted to confirm my pregnancy and get the blood test done. I didn’t mind getting a PAP another day, I just had my grandfathers funeral to attend that day and was pressed for time. Once the midwife came in, she said I did not have to get a PAP today and it’s not a problem at all. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. When I was checking out to make my other appointments, they wanted to see me an additional two times in the same month. Once for my ultra sound and then another visit with the midwife, on top of my hour visit the following week with an OB. I asked why they could not combine ANY of these appointments and the response was just that’s how they do things, they have limited availability… I have a full time job and a daughter, who was the time to come in FOUR times in a month when they’re not even considered high risk for their pregnancy? I found a new office who combined everything into ONE VISIT!To sum it all up, friendly staff, not accommodating with your personal time though and for this reason I would never return.

It was super busy but the staff was still friendly and focused. They got me in and out in good time too.

The staff is great, Dr. Knapp is the best! kind, gentle and proactive. Went in today for my yearly check-up. He squeezed me in for an ultrasound and blood work, on the spot. They make an uncomfortable visit easy.

Very poor service........someone should communicate when you cannot be seen timely, losing urine samples and waiting in an exam room for more than 30 minutes isnt professional.

All I can say is wonderful things about Dr. Cousineau. She is so compassionate, kind and knowledgeable. The front staff is also very friendly and welcoming. When booking a surgery the team was so helpful. I truly cant say enough wonderful things about them. It is very hard to find a great doctor these days and Im so lucky to have found her and this practice. I live 20+ minutes away and its entirely worth the drive. If I could give you more stars - I would. Im so thankful.

The worst doctors office I’ve ever been to. It’s sad because Dr.Chen and Dr. Knapp are great doctors, the ladies in the back that do blood work, AMAZING, but the nurses, midwives, and rest of the staff horrible. No compassion and a different Dr. every time. No one knows your history, they had my blood drawn for pre eclampsia 3 times just to say I didn’t have it, as I was struggling with every symptom you can imagine. Finally one dr I never met that delivered my baby to turn around and tell me you have it and have to get treated during labor. My doctor from their office also didn’t know I was at the hospital after calling their office a few times. Then the wait…I waited an hour and a half for a only 5 min appointment and had to leave and reschedule, then the dr had came up to the desk and gave attitude because I told her they had wasted my time. The refill line for anything, never works. They just say make another appointment. I’m not making 3 appointments In 3 months to just refil birth control. They didn’t mark record of my last pap and tried saying I needed another one after JUST having one done a month prior. I could go on and on, this place is a joke.

Dr. Chen was very informative and kind.All the staff were kind and friendly.I had a very good first visit.

Was not pleased when I was In your Roseville office seeing Dr. Hall. She questioned why I was back so soon. She said to me you were just here 3 weeks ago what can happen in that short of time. Very rude!!! Talked her about a script she put me on. Told her it gave me high blood pressure. She said it couldnt have. She was in there for maybe 5 min. I think I will be finding a new GYN!

Great staff everyone was so nice and professional. I really liked the tablet where i could fill out all my medical info. fancy upgrade from pen & paper. My Dr. Was very professional & knowledgeable about testing and genetics. I was very comfortable with the Nurse &Dr during my Vist. Overall a pleasant experience. Ive been a patient for over 30 years! First with Dr. Bluden, and now with Dr. Chen. All my babies were born through there, and I couldnt imagine a better place! I recently went through a hysterectomy, and he did a great job (no pain at all). He allows me to share my concerns and answers all my questions! The staff is amazing as well, always being so kind with a smile on their face!!

I’ve been going to this office for about 30 years and know what to expect but today, I waited an hour and a half to be seen.

I haven’t had the best experience the second time around during my pregnancy. A lot of the doctors and nurses are rude and impatient. I’ve had scares about my health due to miscommunication on their end. Very few nurses and doctors are pleasant and understand my situation but my overall experience hasn’t been the best.

The office staff was very nice, my appointment started on time, and Kelsey is fantastic!

I have been going to Dr. Knapp since he became a Dr. I love him. He’s funny, he listens to you and answers your questions and offers helpful advice on many health issues.

I love that midwives are finally abundant. When I had the midwife from Eastside Gynecology every detail was covered and I didn’t have to worry at all. Thank God.Now I am back again and getting all the old people tests, but with the newest technology.The waiting room is comfortable so if you do have to wait a bit, it is worth it!

I was scheduled for a bone density test. The receptionist ( not sure if that is her job title) was extremely friendly and courteous. The woman that did the bone density was great. First time in a very long time that I left a Doctor’s office feeling good.

The only reason I’m giving them a two is because of their wait time. They ask you to arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment and then they leave you sitting waiting and waiting and waiting for my mammogram and Pap. I was there for 2 1/2 hours. That’s a long time that’s a long time !!!! Other than that Eastside gynecology is a wonderful place. All the doctors are wonderful. But they definitely need to figure out a system to where we should be. Maybe an hour doesn’t last 2 1/2 to 3 hours. !!

I was 5 minutes late to my appointment due to traffic going through Gratiot and 13 mile, to which I apologized. I waited almost an hour to be called in, while several people that came after me were called (I am keeping in mind that they were probably on time for their appointment). While I’m waiting a couple of other patients walked in and apologized for being late but did not wait more than 5 or 10 minutes in the waiting room. After being called in to be seen, I was in the patient room for almost an hour before the doctor only saw me for maybe 6-7 minutes, I want to say 5 minutes because that’s what it felt like. Dr was rushing out of the room while I was asking some questions and trying to clarify a couple of things. My entire visit was two hours to only be seen by the doctor for no more than 7 minutes for my annual. I do want to point out that my nurse assistant was great. I don’t usually post negative reviews, in my lifetime I’ve posted one other negative review it was for a restaurant. I believe a good relationship between you and your doctor is important, listening to your patient is key and everyone’s time should be considered valuable.

Staff is friendly and informative. Had my first baby delivered by a wonderful midwife. Wait times can be long at times but they have gotten better with this.

I’ve been a patient for about 25 years now. Love Dr. Hall. She’s seen me thru many things over the years from a C-section to partial hysterectomy to annual visits and everything in between. Booking appointments is super easy now online and I love the text alerts. The only complaint is the waiting time. Took me about 45 min just to be called from the waiting room at the Roseville office.

The wait is too long, but everyone from the reception to the medical assistants were attendant helpful with my needs. Thank you.

I was SO nervous going to a new Dr but I had a great experience! The nurse was very talkative and made me feel comfortable. And Dr Hamby was wonderful. She is so intelligent and answered all my questions. The only thing that was strange was people kept coming into the room. Once when I was talking to the nurse and she stopped them saying she’s using the room. And another time when Dr. Hamby was performing the Pap smear. But other than that I am happy I found Dr. Hamby!

I delivered my twins with Dr. Lafia and the entire pregnancy process with her was truly amazing and she has a no nonsense approach to pregnancy and women’s health in general. I loved that the office didn’t make me rotate all the doctors and let me stick to who I was comfortable with so she knew my situation best. That being said, all doctors in the practice are great and they always have one on hand at St. John which made us feel much better while in the hospital because we know they all communicate with each other. Also, if you are having an issue and call the nurses station they get back to you VERY quickly. Don’t go anywhere else!!

Dr Chen is the best! He is one of the few doctors that makes you feel like he truly cares. He asks about your overall health. He listens, takes time to answer questions, explain things etc. I highly recommend Eastside Gynecology, especially Dr Chen!

I used to see Somerset years ago & haven’t been back since she retired. But Love Dr Knapp & I guess everyone else does also, because it seemed like he was the only doctor there?! I wasn’t called back until 35min after arrival & I was late to work. Good thing this is only once a year. I’ll take a day off or 1/2 day whenever I have to return. Staff was great! Nice down to earth young ladies, so I wasn’t too bummed being late for work! 🙂

Easy online appointment booking for new/current patients. Dr. Chen was prompt with meeting appointment time. Office staff was friendly. Eastside Gynecology offers many services, including lab and mammogram.

I have always been comfortable coming here for many years, and Dr. Mahoney has been a great doctor. He has performed cyst romoval surgery a number of years back and I had no complication and would trust him in the future.

Love Dr Knapp!!! Hes been my GYN for ages now. Hes professional, kind, congenial and knowledgeable. The mammogram and office staff at the Roseville location are wonderful, as well. They are efficient and very friendly. The facility was clean and the atmosphere low key and relaxed.

Wait time a bit long [lately = better]. Doctor = pleasant, but time spent w/pt was quite limited. Sometimes feeling = rushed visit. Write down questions, and do allow enough wait time when planning your visit @ this overly busy office. Overbooked??

Found out I was pregnant possibly in my tube after a follow up from the ER I seen DR. Hall she was really just straight to the point had been trying to get pregnant and it was really a sad moment for me and my boyfriend hoping that it was just they couldnt see my baby she just was like before even getting the scan done you definitely wont be going to work today already was confirming that the results were not going to be different a very insensitive experience didnt even give me recommendations to come back to have a baby after finding out it was a tubal pregnancy I can tell shes been in practice a very long time but her bedside manner just wasnt well walked out of there thinking I did something wrong for this to happen.....

I absolutely loved my experience. The check in was easy, staff friendly, and as a patient, I didn’t feel rushed and hurried. I felt I was seen and listened too. Great experience, they run like a well oiled machine.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have tried this practice on two different occasions, years apart and had the same experience but got worse. They already are uninviting, rude and treat you like just another number from the front desk staff to the medical assistants to the doctor. They require someone else to be in the room during a papsmear, so if that makes you uncomfortable I definitely wouldnt go here. And DR HAMBY IS EXTREMELY RUDE. She acted as if I was bothering her with my questions and research on a condition that she had elementary knowledge on. Then when I call the office manager to complain, she said she would investigate but never called me back. This place operates as a low level V factory (use your imagination, I dont want this post to get flagged). But they simply DO NOT CARE and I would suggest that you find a better suited place with care providers that actually CARE

Was able to schedule two tests and being seen by doctor all on the same day 20 minutes apart. After my mammogram they put me in my exam room in a timely manner but I had to wait 45 minutes before the doctor came in to examine me.

I have been going to Dr. Hamby now for over 15 years and she is the most compassionate, relatable, caring, doctor, Most of all she listens! If there were more doctors like her this world it would be better place these days! No one that I know of enjoys going to a gynecological appointment but this is the best place to go.I have highly recommended Dr. Hamby to many my friends who are looking for. New doctor.

Midwife Amy is truly the absolute best!! She has a way of making you feel important and that you matter. Not just another patient.All of the staff there are always kind and helpful. East Side Gynecology is Awesome!!! My doctor was gentle & kind. He answered all my concerns and referred me to a physical therapist. The referral got left in the office and the administrative staff found it and called me about it very quickly. The whole team at East Side Gynecology is wonderful!!!

I was here 7 months ago with a horrible experience and here I am again with an even worse experience. I came in nearly two weeks ago with vaginal irritation and symptoms of what seemed to be UTI/yeast/BV since I’m prone to all of them. Well doctor said my urine was fine and I was a tough case because she couldn’t really see anything except the slightest sign of BV but not enough to cause symptoms. So she went ahead and prescribed me antibiotics for a UTI anyway since I had the symptoms and also antibiotics for BV. She sent my urine out for a culture. I got the culture back and it said abnormal for white blood cells and couple others but didn’t suggest I had an infection? So that’s confusing no follow up call. Now here I am well over a week later went back to see a different doctor there two days ago because nothing got better and I have the most severe burning and itching I have ever had. Now once again I’m told nothing is showing up under the microscope but she goes ahead and gives me an antifungal for yeast. It’s been two days since I took it and my symptoms are progressively getting worse. Diflucan usually works fast for me but it’s not even working. I can hardly walk or go about my daily routine. I been bawling my eyes out on the floor screaming. I am swollen with a lot of discharge and I am on FIRE. I am lost and extremely pissed off with the doctors at this office. There’s gotta be more that can be done.

Dr. Knapp is amazing! He has been my doctor for the past 5 years. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and makes you feel comfortable. I spent a lot of time in the office when I was pregnant and the staff is nice and helpful. I highly recommend this office.

I’m a returning patient of Dr Hamby. She’s thorough, personable and not in a rush. Very down to earth and straight to the point. Now I remember why I’m back.

I am a new patient. The staff and doctor have been friendly, helpful and professional. The doctor took time to get to know my and my family history. She also ensured that I follow up with proper screenings etc.

Everybody was friendly and helpful. I only waited less than 10 minutes for them to call me in. It is a very pleasant office.

Dr Blunden(delivered my oldest 22 years ago) and Dr Knapp (delivered my 3 littles in 2017 2019 and 2021) When i had my youngest in 2021 I was nervous (a bit) because it was my 5th csection (3rd in 4yrs) Dr Knapp and Dr Abundis (and the rest of the drs/ nurses in the or of course!) made the OR feel like they could save the world if needed. Thankfully my experience was amazing and recovery was even better. Ive seen all the drs over the years and you cant go wrong with any of them! Thanks for being the best!

Dr. Zeilenga took me on as a patient after I took a trip to the ER. After having no answers to my situation after several weeks of monitoring elsewhere, I finally received some answers with a treatment plan. Their office was busy but she never once rushed me and truly took her time explaining what has been a difficult situation for me. I will be continuing my care in her office and feel as though I am in great hands.

From the moment I went to the doors to go the checkup room, I felt like went there forever. The staff was kind and helpful as it was my first time there. I give this office five stars because as a woman having these exams is nerve wrecking enough. 🩷

My first time here was with Dr. Hamby. It was about an hour wait and the doctor spent less than 5 minutes in the room. I had never had a Pap smear before and I was told by the nurse I was going to be walked through it. Dr. Hamby did not. It was rushed, cold, and unpleasant. She did not tell me what was going on or much less talk at all for that matter. She walked out immediately without a goodbye. I left feeling extremely violated!I do not recommend her as a doctor! The receptionists and the nurses were all extremely nice though.
